I had lots of technical problems with the app. Background check took almost a month and already been approved months before this w both Uber and Lyft. Got my scheduled appointment and made deposit. Waited for appointment to pick up car
Seemed like a good deal a month ago but after the 300%+ increase in start payments in the same way creditors sense red flags when one person applies and/or obtains multiple new accounts/debts in a short amount of time bc they could already know they're dying (for example LOL) so whatever I wonder what Fair is preparing for!?"
Update. After receiving the response from Fair They email you a a confirmation code but don't tell you where to enter it. You have to hit "link not working". Then they require you to provide a drivers license and payment method just to browse the selections and options. At that point I bailed out and deleted the app. I'm not going to provide my ID and bank account info just to see if it's worth it."
The calender in the app to book your pick up is not there and it says "your car is available" then they check if it is actually available. But these were minor things and the customer service was awesome' I will recommend to all my friends!
I ran into a lot of bugs which probably won't happen to many people (some very ridiculous edge cases) but fair's teams really helped to fix them as quickly as possible. Haven't dealt with a team that worked as quickly as theirs in a while. Also
I was originally drawn to Fair because of the ease of it all. My husband actually works as a finance director for a Nissan dealership and the prices on Fair were less than he could get me on a 3 year lease with employee discounts! He wanted me to try it on the customer side because his dealership just signed up to partner with them. I fully intended to purchase a vehicle from them. Got completely through all of the steps INCLUDING allowing them access to pull funds from my bank account to have an error come up that says "sorry not available in your area". When I waited on hold for close to an hour for a customer service agent to pick up the phone
I've tried fair for a few months and the car rates are insane. They will do nothing to work with you or meet you half way even after speaking with a manager. They just tell you to return and get something else. I had to wait 3 hours to speak with a manager for him just to copy and paste the exact same thing the rep said. Very frustrated with this app and will probably return my car soon and delete this crappy app.
Overall this a great app & it definitely is worth using if you need access to a vehicle. I've had interesting experiences with the customer service but Thom & Adam made me forget about the past experiences with their promptness & assertiveness. I greatly appreciate you two & the fair app for the wonderful experiences I was able to have while having one of their vehicles :)
I leased a car for ride share use only. I was in an accident. And while car was in need of repair. I was charged lease payment while car was in the body shop. Insurance refused to cover lease payments. Fair was not willing to provide relief from weekly payments. Poor customer service. Account was placed in collections and jeopardized my perfect credit rating. This company will also really get you on wear and tear. This company is a joke and should be investigated. Buyer beware big time. Find other options!
The idea of this company is very cool and intriguing but they have the worst customer service that I have ever experienced in my life. Can't even express how I will never consider this company even if they get their act together. Poor customer service and they don't have your back if something goes wrong with the vehicle. They charge another start payment regardless if it's their fault for another vehicle. They leave you car-less for over 2 weeks after returning a vehicle. They continue to charge your bank even after vehicle is returned. They ruin your credit with countless credit checks. You can't ever get in touch with an educated individual on the phone. Garbage company. Good idea. Good luck..
I was looking to get a car from fair with a start payment of $1000 and then woke up next morning and the start payment was $4000! Like who would ever pay $4000 when your never gonna own the car it's a monthly subscription.! This App was good while it lasted but now it's just a joke don't waste your time guys.
Because of the update I can't purchase my car through Fair it will not accept my bank debit card and the app does not have a link for me to attach my checking account. How long will this big take to fix.
I really wanted to use this app and this service but I can't. There are only 3 options for a car in the entire California State when I search. 3 cars? That's it? Waste of time for me. And THEN when the app notifies me they updated their inventory it's literally the EXACT same cars! Poor inventory and poor service I'd give a zero star rating if possible. The only thing this app does is take up space on my phone. USELESS.
I swear this is the best app on earth man it's fast safe legit in your in and out this app lives up to its name you have bad credit and can't get the car you want fair will change that 5 stars all day
Picked a car from fair app and the dealership gave the a lemon. It sounded like I drove a monster truck of the lot. Gave it right back and had to wait a 6 business day unwind. You will be charged recurring payment even if you didn't drive the vehicle home. After the 6 days you will have to wait another 5-10 business days for your money back. For someone who does Uber for a living the service is far from convenient. Wind down period takes way too long
I usually don't review apps they told me that all of their cars get serviced before handing them out and the vehicle I had just received was just above ******* miles so it should have just had a big check. However the first red flag showed up about 5 minutes after driving the car when the tire pressure light came up on my dashboard. When I arrived home I checked the tire pressure
David Damon vare very nice and kind and trying to help everyone but their manager made lots of restrictions for them I do not recommend this location until they really Change their strategy or improving management system!"
I've been waiting for a flexible option like this. I hate getting stuck in leases or long loans. This is the best innovation since Uber. It's actually bigger than Uber because taxis weren't THAT bad. Amazing product.
Absolutely amazing from start to finish. Support is like nothing else I've ever experienced! They hold your hand through the whole process and watch out for you in every way. You are absolutely catered to and they do everything they possibly can to make sure you're taken care of and happy with your choice! I couldn't say enough good things about Fair. TL; DR - Simple. Fast. Easy. Vroom. Seriously though
. There seems to be literally dozens and dozens of certain models ( with poor dependability reviews) is this just a way for dealerships to sell off poor quality vehicles? Each of the 3 vehicles we've chosen (after careful research) is "no longer available" (you receive a text 3 days later after you've given them your financial information) aside from the time and anxiety involved (worst buying/leasing experience I've had); starting to seem a bit too coincidental. Is this another scammy business operating under the guise of providing a societal benefit while actually conducting it's business in a manner more unethical than industry norms? Possibly.
I ordered a car that was expected to be delivered in 10-12 days. After signing contracts and paying about $900 for the start fund and 1st monthly payment I was excited to get my car. I received emails regarding the signed contract and the receipt of payments but the 2nd person in the Returns Dept. was not helpful at all. She answered every question with "I'm not sure... I'm not an engineer... I don't know because this has never happened before!" I think its interesting that there are no glitches when you're signing contracts and giving them your money but as soon as it's time to process a return suddenly there's nothing they can do. I wanted soo much to used this service because on the outside it seemed easy and convenient but between the app glitches and the unhelpful customer service it's just not worth the money!"
Fair help me get my first working car lol. It helped me get off my feet with just 500$ downn Payment! It also gave me a young 20 year old girl newly license a 200 per month insurance rate with the car! In a bad area and I'm from jersey full coverage. Insurance goes by the car. I've seen for as low as 100$ Fair is truly fair. Don't worry about credit or anything else. They will always accept you. Sometimes you have to wait 30 days for them to give you a little limit budget. But you still get a car :) The only thing is the maintenance. Getting it done seems like a hassle for me. Plus you will have to fix any damAges done to your car. Like wear and tear on brakes. Tire change not rotation
I returned my car in May 2020 and have sent several emails trying to get a refund of my overpayment for that month. They keep referring to an audit that's in process as a reason that I haven't received a refund. Now they've stopped responding to my emails. I'm going to file a complaint with the BBB and or take them to small claims court since it appears as though they think I'll just go away. I would never use this company again and will make sure to let people know about their shady business dealings.
So far so good picked up my new Chrysler 200 at the dealership after completed all necessary paperwork with fair via app oh and I'm a say very impressed is long as you have everything you need to complete the process like insurance drivers license etc. etc. Plus in the basement and fair really comes throug
My mom leased a car through this company, and returned it in April of 2020. She has yet to receive a refund for the unused portion of her last payment. It's October of 2020, and the company keeps claiming that they are going to send it as soon as they have their new billing system in place. Ridiculous!
I've tried plenty of ways to upload my Driver's license and have not succeeded. I have been in contact with support and they have not helped out at all is there an online desktop version of the app because it doesn't give me options to do any updates on here.
I could not be happier with their service. They are very helpful when researching the car you d like to lease. Once you select the car process takes about a day and then you schedule your pick up. The car I got is amazing. I love now clean it was and also the process of picking it up was fast and easy. I had almost a brand new car in less than one hour. Thank you Fair. I appreciate this brand new amazing way of getting mobile again.
