I had high hopes for Fanthorpes but it wasn't to be. I tried to trade in some items against their stock and was ready to pay the balance as soon as I got the quote. Then they told me the item wasn't in stock even though it had been listed on their website. I agreed on another item with a three week wait and asked for a payment link. Then it was delay after delay and having to chase them to respond.
In the meantime, I saw another item on their website that I was also interested in (we're talking many thousands of pounds in value) and they basically stopped emailing me, even though I'd asked for a payment link and was ready to buy within a day of my initial contact.

I've given up now and purchased my speakers from another dealer, and am getting better responses from other dealers on the turntable I'm after too. What a shame and two weeks of my time wasted. The standards for human courtesy and communication are really in the toilet these days...
