Rated "F" by the Better Business Bureau, the worst possible BBB rating.
As a frequent customer of RV parks and campgrounds, we had one of the worst experiences of our lives at the Lakeside KOA campground in Fort Collins, CO. There are numerous online reviews that document their lack of respect for customers, poor service, and questionable business practices.
My wife very threatened by the senior owner's behavior, and we recommend that unaccompanied women not enter the campground office if the senior owner is present.
The campground is located in a heavy industrial area amid gravel quarries and an asphalt plant. However, the website pictures portrays the campground as a luxury destination.
Tip for consumers:
Avoid eastside of campground, which borders stagnant water thick with mosquitoes. Avoid northside sites, which border agricultural fields and the spray planes that broadcast insecticides during the summer. The westside is closest to the odors and noises from the asphalt plant and gravel quarry.
