My encounters with FedEx delivery have been a mixed bag. On the plus side, FedEx offers fast and efficient delivery services, often delivering packages ahead of schedule. Their deliveries are hopeless. I have no choice in using Fedex, Chewy ships with them. Not only do they misdeliver 50% of the time, but the times it does get here they left the package on the street in the weather and bait for porch pirates. Getting satisfaction, provided you have fooled the computer into letting you talk to a real person, with customer service is non-existent. We will let you know in 48 hrs they say. NOT. File a claim for restitution with the sender who will contact us they say, only takes six weeks. I have to do all the work, in short. Hopeless!

In the movie "Cast Away", Tom Hanks portayed a dedicated Fedex worker who kept and delivered a package after his ordeal stranded on an island for years and basically losing everything important to him Delivering the package was the last purpose in life he could hang on to.
The movie was great. His portrayal of a Fedex worker was, alas, fictional.
Today's minimum-wage minimum-intelligence Fedex employee puts in minimal effort and couldn't care less if a package is correctly delivered. The computers actually track their whereabouts, but it still doesn't matter. If your address is not convenient enough, the driver will likely skip you and/or drop your package some place else.
A "full day's work" means getting rid of a truck full of deliveries as quickly as possible. GPS is such a nuissance. Anywhere will do in a pinch if the driver has better things to do that afternoon. He can go home and let someone else fix any problems. Shucks, the packages are insured, right?
Which would be bad enough if the managers at Fedex cared at all and would actaully fix problems. But they are no more than semi-organic bots who read the lines the computer tells them to say. If the computer says "the package was delivered", there can be no other answer. Nevermind that the driver dumped it at an address near his favorite bar.
Fedex "managers" no longer manage. They are hired to tell customers anything that will keep them from calling again. They don't want people pestering them asking where their package went. "We'll call you" is another favorite line.
It appears Fedex has successfully fought it's way to the bottom of the barrel when it comes to delivery services. They are now only a small step above handing your package and a dollar bill to a kid on the street.

DON'T. Fedex is not what it used to be. ANYBODY is better. I think the odds are now 50:50 that a Fedex delivery does where it is supposed to.

I have had UPS,Fedex and USPS deliver my packages to the wrong address,and even UPS and Fedex say they can't deliver my items because they were damaged in transit,and I have had damaged broken,ripped open packages delivered from Fedex! Months ago Ebay and Target kept saying on their sites that my order was delivered,but there was *nothing* outside my front or back door apartment building.I told them that I was telling them the truth and about a week later a maintenance man knocked on my door and said he had two packages for me that were delivered to the wrong building next door!
Walmart,Fedex,and Amazon.com delivery drivers have also delivered my items to the wrong building and took a picture of a blank wall of my out side apartment building so you can't even see what the if it's the wrong building #! A Walmart delivery person even took a picture of the wrong apartment on the first floor,and delivered my package there and I live on the third floor! Then someone left my package outside my apartment door many days later and thankfully I did get refunds sometimes.
I have complained to all of these stores and delivery carriers about this too. On Pissed Consumer,Hissing Kitty,Site Jabber,and Trust Pilot,UPS,Fedex,and USPS have only 1 star ratings, and 1000's of customer complaints,USPS got a 2 on a few of them.
Sometimes a nice neighbor or maybe another deliver person with these services leaves my package outside my apartment door many days or even about a week after I never received it when the carriers and stores I bought the items from said they were delivered.
Just the last 3 days Fedex kept saying 3 days in a row that they were going to deliver my package from about 10 in the morning until around three in the afternoon,then that changed and they claimed by the end of the day, this is now three days in a row they changed it to delayed and Pending! I even spoke with a Fedex customer service agent on Saturday the second day and he claimed they had too many packages the day before but he reassured me that I my package would be delivered by the end of the day,but I never got it on Sunday either!
If I could give it zero stars I would! We had a delivery expected on a Friday that had to be signed for. My husband took the day off to be home. When they arrived my husband wasn't able to answer the door at that exact moment (I know, our fault!). He did leave a note on the door asking them to still leave it (he was inside after all, just in the shower). I get it, they can't - ok, still our fault. Of course, the delivery shows up the second he gets into the shower and they do not leave the package. We are told to pick it up after 7pm that evening. Okay, got it. However the building also closes at 7. I call the office to speak with someone about what my options are. I'm told: 1. Your husband must be the one to pick it up - I'm not sure why as everything has been in my name. Which is also extremely inconvenient as he's out of town now (later that evening) but again, something that clearly had to do on our end. 2. You can call back around 6ish to see if the delivery has made it back to the building. I live 40 minutes away - will I be able to make it (two kids in tow)? But yet again I'm reminded, it doesn't matter because they won't allow me to even sign for it. 3. Come back tomorrow from 10-4. We work. We already took a day off to be here for it.? 4. We will deliver it the next business day. Okay; so we are back to Monday. And we work. Again. We won't be able to be home to sign. Plus they are closed on Sunday when we would actually be able to pick it up. 5. Put a hold on it and come pick it up Monday evening. Okay, yes let's do that. However- it STILL has to be your husband to pick it up and sign for it. Not you. He has community obligations with boards that he is on and has meetings that night. How about Tuesday? You get my frustration. But what really put me over the top, was the rudeness and unprofessional way I was spoken to by their employee. I was appalled. I get the circumstances were not their fault and somethings are out of their control but there was no offer the help the situation or see what they could do. She continually reminded me how this was my fault and not hers. I'm very upset at how the situation was handled and the way I was spoken to. I will NEVER use this company again! So unfortunate.
Got a door tag saying they had a package for me. Was not expecting package. Called to schedule delivery. NEVER SHOWED UP. Said they would attempt again next day. Never heard back from them. Try to contact FEDEX, they want tracking number. I don't even know who shipped the package, don't have tracking number! Want door tag number, but since they NEVER ATTEMPTED TO REDELIVER THE PACKAGE, THEY NEVER GAVE ME ONE!
Called today, "it's been three weeks!" "After this time it was shipped back to shipper." The shipper they CHARGED FOR DELIVERY BUT NEVER BOTHERED TO DELIVER MY PACKAGE. Got a door tag stuck to my door today. I WAS HOME ALL DAY LONG. THE DRIVER NEVER EVEN ATTEMPTED TO CONTACT ME, JUST STUCK THE DOOR TAG ON MY DOOR.
As others have said, they have had the same issue. This is the SECOND attempt this company has tried, both using FEDEX, who REFUSES to deliver the package they were PAID to deliver.
If the driver had to get out of his trcuk to stick the door tag on my door, why not just DELIVER THE FREAKIN' PACKAGE?
Now I have to go in to pick up my delivery because FEDEX employs useless, lazy idiots that CANNOT EVEN DO WHAT THEY ARE PAID TO DO. ACTUALLY DELIVERING PACKAGES!

If you have an account with Fedex and UPS. Choose UPS! Despite the bad customer service. Back in JAN switched to Fedex a Sales rep Ivan Mascarell gave me good/attractive discounts and assured me that I will not fee any fees that I saw with UPS on my account; so I switched to Fedex(Moonachie hub/main is right behind my store; easy for the drop-off + good rates... what was there to loose?) happy I get to save more; meaning I make more money.
So it's 7/30/2019 and yesterday the 29th I was going through the invoices paid with the receipts. Guess what; 40-60% upcharge. A 10$ shipment turned into $30 all of a sudden. Handling charges added anywhere from $9-97 as I have seen. Surcharges and residential charges added on onto the invoices(god damn you are a shipping company; add that on when you are giving me rates before shipping instead of making excuses that that was a quote that was given; which is the excuse you gave me) I am getting a little aggravated and would like to rip them a new one but. I WOULD RECOMMEND IF YOU ARE RUNNING A BUSINESS, AND YOU WOULD NOT LIKE TO GET ROBBED! STAY AWAY FROM FEDEX!

Shocked and disgusted. I shipped a package in from America using MyUS's services. MyUS made the mistake of listing the value of the package as more than double its actual value ($924.99 instead of $419.98) even though I submitted the invoice from Amazon before the package was even logged. I notified them immediately of the problem before the package was even marked for shipping. Eventually they rectified their mistake and paid me the erroneous overcharged amount for insurance and insured me that they will notify FedEx of the problem so that they don't charge me incorrectly for import taxes.
Shortly afterwards I had a phone call with a FedEx employee (Innocentia Sithebe) and notified her on the call about the error and afterwards I sent her an email with the original invoice as proof of the actual value of the package. (This was before the package even left America). I have the emails as proof.
A week later I got an invoice from FedEx to pay more than double the VAT that I should be paying and listed the incorrect value of the package $924.99 (Instead of $419.98). I responded immediately notifying them that they made a mistake and forwarded them the email correspondence that I had with both MyUS and FedEx to notify them of the problem far in advance, but FedEx (Vanessa Christine Vorster) told me that customs cannot accept a second entry and FedEx will not be taking responsibility for the mistake even though I forwarded them all the proof that I did everything in my power to notify them far in advance.
I am honestly lost for words. I did everything in my power to try and fix other people's mistakes as soon as possible, but still they just bulldoze over you and refuse to take responsibility for their mistakes. I wish I was in a better financial position to do something about this in a court of law.
I received a package on Saturday December 11th, 2021. It said perishable on it. I saw as soon as Fed Ex truck pulled away. It was addressed to someone with a different house number than mine and a different street. I called Fed Ex right away and told them they needed to contact the driver to pick this up and deliver to correct address. He said would take 1 or 2 days. To leave the package on my porch. The next day I received a delivery from Fed Ex and the driver looked at the other package and said this is from Saturday as if he wondered why it was still on the porch. Apparently he didn't notice it had an address different from my address. Then he left. It is now Thursday December 16th and the package is still sitting on my porch. I have tried calling multiple times but usually I can't get through the automated system to actually speak to anyone, I tried online chat but it keeps saying there is a case open and to be patient. I finally got to to speak to someone today and the man was very nice but very difficult to understand because of his foreign accent. He told me the same things I was told on Saturday. I asked to speak to a Supervisor but he said that wasn't possible. Ridiculous that I am trying to get the package picked up and delivered to the person who ordered it and Fed Ex will not pick it up. My house number is one digit different than the house it was addressed to and the street name is not even similar. The driver must not have been paying any attention to where he leaves the packages at. After five days most likely the person who was waiting for this package has probably complained and already received a replacement package. The automated system tells me the package has already been delivered when I put in the tracking number. So I have not got any help for this problem.
Update: Continue incompetence in NC. They have had a package on a truck since last Monday PER their tracking. It is Sunday and was supposed to be delivered the 27th the week before LOL. They offered to put a trace on it after I know the guys by first name now on the 800 line. :) That was nice of them. We have received 2 packages we ordered 2 weeks later in two days and this way just sits on a truck somewhere. The joke is on them because I would be more upset if was more than cleaning supplies from Sams club. Plus the bonus is that we ordered Baby wipes and the driver left them in the ONLY puddle they could find in our drive way. Really nice to be "BABY wipes" in a puddle. I think he really hates kids. :) That is the way it goes with them. We just laugh now. It is par for them!
We have watched several packages in the last 3 years just sit in their distribution areas with no dates of shipping. As if you see the pics below, an item was shipped out the 9th and is now sitting in in their distribution again for the 2nd time with no date to be shipped now again. It is now the 17th which was a 4 day shipping supposedly. LOL
If you have a choice, choose another service. I would give them credit but it is a "head scratcher" when you see your packages sitting for days when you track them on their site. NOW- their site will not allow you to get updates which I assume because they do not want you to see how SLOW they really are... aka. Their system will not allow you to use their submit button when you ask for updates. Ironically, it leaves it as if it is NOT working but has not worked for several months now. I think they try to claim covid problems but it is an excuse since it was before the covid issues. Happy shipping or call them if you have the time because you cannot really get any results otherwise. :)

I wouldn't even give them one star! By far the worst deliveey service i've ever seen in my life! I ordered a birthday present for my daughter from walmart and UNFORTUNATELY it was sent via fed ex! What was supposed to be a two day delivery has been a week and two days! They first day they left a soor tag... okay. Was a little upset since the driver never rang doorbell or knocked! I signed the doortag and put it back on door so they could leave pkg. All of a sudden they are saying my pkg was delivered. I had to call the supervisor and have them trace my pkg. It took two days fot them to make a 2nd attempt. On the 2nd attempt the driver goes to my other door bypassing the door he used the first day with signed tag on it and left ANOTHeR door tag! I called them again they assured they woukd have driver come back out that night and redeliver! Never saw him at all! Now they are telling me my pkg is being held at an office in seekonk because they made 3 attempt... which is BS! But yet they tell me they cannot tell me what facility it is held at! I am so done with fed ex! Nothing but a bunch of useless morons that work there! Will NEVER do business with anyone that even uses fed ex! They all suck! $800 package stuck in limbo screw that!
They have left my packages at the main entrance of the apartment building to get stolen. Left packages outside the leasing office when the leasing office is closed.my packages show up damaged and opened. I've had stuff missing out of packages. They deliver it to the wrong door and give you the other persons package. I have a sign on my door that says to knock because we have package theft in the building since the pandemic, so they don't knock. I have a note in my delivery thing saying to knock, and they still don't.
I had three packages to be delivered in one day awhile ago. All on the truck ready for delivery. But all three were heavy. The guy delivered one, and said I wasn't home on the other two so he couldn't deliver it. Came back the next day with the two packages on the truck. Delivered one and said the other couldn't be delivered because I wasn't home. At this point, the heaviest package is still waiting to be delivered. The max weight per package was 50lbs or less. I got an email saying if I wasn't home on the third attempt to make this delivery, I would have to pick it up myself from FedEx. I called and was extremely unhappy. They did finally deliver my last package on the third day.
They've done this type of stuff to me before. Complaining does no good. I tried complaining to every branch of command I could think of. They act like they care on the phone to shut you up. But do nothing to fix the problem.
So when I can't find my package. I go look for it. I usually find a stack of packages for different apartments in my building. Then I get to do fedex drivers job and deliver the packages to the proper apartment door. You never know if someone has life saving medicine in a package they need ASAP. We have a lot of older people living here. Then there's the mean people who find it and steal it because FedEx can't bring a box to a door. He just leaves at the main entrance door.
The repair centre who fixed my phone decided to have it couriered it back with the company TNT/Fed Ex.
I was told that I would have to sign for the package upon arrival and was offered to pay an extra $60 to cover any damages during shipment which I declined ($60 extra?)
A few days later, I found a package lying in my front yard and upon further inspection found it damaged. I opened up the package and my newly repaired phone was completely damaged beyond repairs as if a vehicle had run over it. The phone was neatly packaged in bubble wrap and 2x layer of foam and in a cardboard box so it is impossible to damage the phone to the extent it was - both front and back glass shattered, phone was bent and camera lenses all cracked.
I filed a complaint with Fed Ex - took them two months with me constantly chasing them up. Apparently they had just closed out the case and claimed the phone delivery wasn't insured (insurance would have cost an extra $60!) and that I would get no compensation for the phone I had just paid to get repaird. I can understand if the damage was minor, but the box appears to be run over by a car / motor vehicle and there is no way I would be able to fix the phone again!
Firstly this could have been done intently - the courier picked this from CTDI which they know is a repair shop for phones. The fact that there are vehicle tracks over the packaging and the extent of damage suggests the package was run over by a vehicle (how could the delivery man not know?). Furthermore, they left the package in the front yard without a signature. I also suspect this is deliberate malicious damage to property.
But FedEX/TNT does not give a $#*!!
They did not fulfil their service / I didn't even sign (could have been easily stolen left in my front yard) but it's like they are saying "FU" for not paying the extra $60!
I feel the injustice and have file a complaint to Office of fair trading!
If anyone else has also had this occur to them – please also do the same and file a complaint.

Wish I could give zero stars but that's not an option. Been waiting for over a week to get my sons christmas gift before we head out of town. Even though the package was in my area Saturday afternoon, it wasn't set to be delivered until today, Tuesday eve by 8pm.
Soooooo I get to know it's sitting less then 5 miles away for three days making matters worse, it's an iphone and it requires a signature so I knew I was going to have to take the day off.
Needless to say I'm monitoring their site from the second I wake up...

As you can see it was on a truck at 7:58AM and even though I was home all day and it was guaranteed delivery by 8PM the package was checked back to the local facility at 7:06PM.
Now what happened all depends on who you speak with... According to Jorge who I spoke to with the Verizon c/s person (Megan) it will be delivered by 9PM tonight because of the holidays. Whelp it's 9:23 as I type this so think that was a bunch of bull.
Now if you speak to Pat from FedEx, she says they had an issue with the conveyer belt and repeatedly apologized.
Of course once you get up the chain and speak with either Hugo or Rene (SALRC) they don't know what happened, took my complaint, gave me a ticket number, but feel "very confident it will be delivered on time tomorrow".
By "on time" I think they meant by 8PM just a different day. Oh yeah, have I mentioned that we fly out of town for the holidays tomorrow.

I suggest never to use Fedex services or give anyone your Fedex account number to make a shipment to you.
They abuse the fact that the account holder is not making the shipment and can not approve cost.
Here is what happened.
My customer wanted to us to ship a personal item to him and gave us his Fedex account #.
The goods to be shipped are 2 tee shirts and 2 shorts. It is almost 5 pounds but by the rule of package sizes it is regarded 20 pounds.as We shipped from Istanbul to New York with the Fedex account # of the customer.
Now hear this.
My customer gets an invoice of $2064. 29 for this shipment and as you can expect is crazy with our operaration.
FYI, the cost of two way airline ticket to Istanbul NY is $600.
My factory in Istanbul checked what if they sent this package with their own account instead of using customer Fedex acc #.
It turns out we would have paid $125.
Can you see the game Fedex is playing, and this is not the first time.
Taled to customer service couple of times, and they provided a $900 discount. But then I find out they charged is with wrong package size. So they charged my customer 4 time the volume.
I am now trying to prove that the size was entered wrong in their systems.
Bottom line.
Don't give anyone your Fedex account #. Fedex will abuse it. You will get the surprise later so all is happened already. No accapence of price before shipment. Fedex claims that they can not give cost of shipment to anyone else but other then the account holder. They do not request approval from the account holder the cost. So they ship and bat it will be paid.
I am refunding the whole cost to my customer on what he paid to Fedex and that is how customers needs to be treated.
