My encounters with FedEx delivery have been a mixed bag. On the plus side, FedEx offers fast and efficient delivery services, often delivering packages ahead of schedule. Additionally, their tracking system provides detailed updates, allowing customers to stay informed about their shipments' whereabouts. However, there are areas for improvement. Their deliveries are hopeless. I have no choice in using Fedex, Chewy ships with them. Not only do they misdeliver 50% of the time, but the times it does get here they left the package on the street in the weather and bait for porch pirates. Getting satisfaction, provided you have fooled the computer into letting you talk to a real person, with customer service is non-existent. We will let you know in 48 hrs they say. NOT. File a claim for restitution with the sender who will contact us they say, only takes six weeks. I have to do all the work, in short. Hopeless!
I've had a few deliveries from FedEx in the past year or so every one of them were at least 4 days late. I received a text the day it was supposed to be delivered saying the delivery would be late.
FED EX ROUTINELY DOES NOT DELIVER PACKAGES ON TIME AND AS PROMISED. DO NOT USE THIS CARRIER, ESPECIALLY IF YOUR PACKAGES ARE TIME SENSITIVE. They have done this to me before but today was the the most outrageous example of a company that has gone out of control. The entire company is a ship without a rudder. Fed Ex cannot be relied upon for your important mailings.
I mailed a package on Friday in person and told the attendant at the time that my package was legally required to be at the destination by Monday. I told her I could go somewhere else if she could not guarantee timely delivery because this was very important to me. She said no problem and offered me their most premium service for $230 which I took because she said it would be at the destination by 10:30am on Monday. The package arrived at the Fed Ex hub, 30 minutes from my delivery destination, at 11:30am on Monday morning and then it sat there all day. I called several times, spoke to a bunch of people who were just a bunch of nonsensical talking heads with absolutely no authority or ability to get the people at the hub on the telephone and tell them to deliver my package that day, as promised. It was only 30 minutes away from the destination address. One representative even said they could not deliver my package because they were waiting to fill the trailer before it could roll out (with my package). So they needed to fill a whole trailer to send my package 30 minutes to its destination. So now my deadline is passed but maybe the trailer will be filled tomorrow and then maybe Fed Ex will deliver it maybe, just maybe.

Never reliable. After the first failed attempt, I literally set in from of my house the next day to receive the package, to not miss the driver. I went outside at 3PM, and sat outside. As I sat outside, I received a text on my phone at 3:35, that the driver tried to deliver at 3:35PM and that we were not home. Unless he came down the chimney or via drone, I am not sure how I could miss a Fedex driver and truck. Called Fedex at 3:40 to see what can be done, I was told to wait for the next day and they gave me another time slot. Or I have to drive 45min each way in LA traffic to get to the nearest Fedex station. I live in West Hollywood, in the center of LA, and the closest center to pick up is Irving. Nothing about fedex is convenient. They do not allow for a signature release, to pick up from somewhere close, and most importantly they lie about showing up. A turtle or a pigeon is more relaible for deliveries.
As a reliable shipper, FED EX is a disaster, period! In the last 6 months, I have shipped or was on the receiving end of approximately ten packages, MAJOR issues occurred on 50% of the shipments. Most commonly they had NO IDEA when they were going to deliver my package or why the package was in it's current location, sometimes on the other side of the United Stares from its destination! The only way I could get the package moving is to file a FILE LOST PACKAGE REPORT. Suddenly the package appears in the system. Interesting.
I'm through, I no longer ship with FED-EX personally and on any shipments made to me, I request FED-EX NOT BE CHOSEN AS THE SHIPPER!
This company (FED-EX) which "Invented" this type of shipping method, is now at the BOTTOM of their industry, and they don't seem to CARE. Goodbye FED-EX.
I've shipped with FedEx and had packages shipped to me through FedEx, the majority of the time they miss their target date by a few days. When I purchase items that have to be shipped I now ask the sellers to not use FedEx
Fedex must only take the people who score the lowest on the IQ test and give them jobs. So, I have a covered, very large front porch, but fedex always leaves my packages in front on my garage door, either to get run over when you back out of the garage or, like today, to get soaked from the pouring rain all because they are too lazy to walk an extra 10 feet to the front porch. I'm sorry you chose to deliver for fedex and you hate your job but that is not the fault of the customer. So I decided today, as everyone who reads this should, to either refuse or return ALL packages shipped via FedEx, and eventually when the stores see the decline in sales or abundance of returns when they ship via FedEx, they will choose UPS, which is a much better shipping carrier. That is the only way the customer will ever get any kind of justice with fedex. Because calling and complaining to their customer service is like trying to teach a toddler algebra. So take my advice and refuse or return all packages shipped via FedEx. They are the worst.
The Bongo service is very user friendly and simple to use. However, after ordering something small and using their service, I became aware that it is best for me to order something from Ebay that has been marked up by a reputable seller, but has reasonable shipping rates.
For anyone that has disposable income, buys from many different companies, chooses rare items that are not easily found on Ebay, Etsy or other resale websites, and wants a great, reliable shipping company to simplify the process of shipping multiple items from many different companies? This is a great service.
For me, it was best to donate the two products I bought to charity, then later order them again from Ebay, rather than to ship what I ordered. Yes, I could pay for my products twice + international shipping for the rates Bongo charges. But, I am happy to hear that they donate what I bought to charity, rather than putting it in the trash. This service really seems to be best for one making fairly large purchases of rare or hard to find items.
Customer service is great and very responsive. I had a lot of questions about everything and they were quick to reply to emails, kind, gave clear information, and I feel good about the whole experience. Peace of mind is priceless, and it is certain customers will have that with this service. :)
Paid $300 to have a critical parcel expedited to myself overnight as I was travelling. Three days later, still no parcel. I am now on my return home so had to redirect parcel back to sender. Absolutely ridiculous. Will NEVER use FedEx again and will also cancel my business account. Do not trust FedEx unless you have no need for it to arrive on time. What a joke. Now it's fingers crossed that FedEx doesn't lose my parcel on its journey back to original shipping point.
Update: So FedEx fails to implement my return to sender request stating that no changes can be made once shipping process has started. Wait what?! You charge me an obscene amount of money for overnight delivery, fine... cost of fuel blah blah blah... get it. But YOU fail to deliver on time, I am no longer at delivery address FOUR DAYS later since I had travelled to a funeral for the weekend and now you say too bad for me, need to pay new shipping charges to resend. Might as well fly back and get the suitcase myself! NEVER AGAIN will I use FedEx. Never.

FedEx is the worst delivery service EVER they never knock on your door or send a email letting you know your package was delivered just throw your package on the steps and drive off. If you sending anything expensive thru mail your best bet is UPS OR AMAZON! Now I have to wait for them to "INVESTIGATE"

Zero listening skills. Staff refuses to provide ID numbers so no one has any accountability. Like so many businesses, FedEx has gone down the toilet when it comes to customer service.
Damaged, lost, 16 days to deliver, lost again then top it off they out and out lie about deliver. How can a company this bad stay in business makes no sense!
Every single delivery that has come from Fedex has been at least 3 days late... that in and by itself is lousy, but the fact that the customer service reps have repeatedly LIED -for my last shipment for 4 days straight saying that the shipment was on the truck for delivery that day DEFINITELY and it still has not arrived. When I assked one rep yesterday if it could arrive tomorrow meaning today, she said..."Aw come on... you KNOW we don't deliver on Sundays." UNBELIEVABLE. I have eight large boxes to ship out for Christmas to family and although I was planning on using Fedex,, there is NO WAY... or in other words, "Aw, come on, you KNOW if you ship with us Fedex, they'll never get there in time."
Out of all the shipping services FedEx is 5 star they always handle my items with care make sure I get my items the drivers are very friendly it's fast it's efficient and I trust them I've used them for many many years and I will continue to use them

You should be ashame of the way your company conduct business, the delivery time and appointments are based on the driver schedule and not the company's rules, this comes from the amount of sub contractors you use which to no surprise they can care less about the company image and polices, they move on the amount to be made for the deliveries than customer satisfaction and uplifting your company's name, been waiting for a box for 5 days, they pin a note on the door, don't ring the bell or make a courtesy call, which is totally wrong, I used to work for your company and I feel totally shame to say that, you should put more attention to your customers but I guess like your employees all you care about is the mighty dollar, can say I wish you well but hope you get what you deserve.
I had a package that was supposed to arrive 5 days ago, Using a provided tracking number I checked the website only to learn my package was attempted to be delivered but I was "unavailable." As I was at home, waiting for the delivery I called FedEx customer service to find out what was going on. The rep on the phone stated it was a "fake attempt" and that my package would arrive the next days. Flash forward 3 days later, I still have not received my order. FedEx called me stating the driver was in my area and I would have my package by 5 pm. Once again, the online status indicated the driver came to deliver but I was "not home." When I called the rep states that my package "never made it on the truck, they were too full." He assured me it would arrive tomorrow or by "the end of the week" I have never experienced such horrible customer service, what a lack of transparency and way to mislead customers. AWFUL! I will willingly never use FedEx again, multiple bad experiences but this takes the cake!

A total disaster is saying it kindly. So my shipment should have arrived on the 20th April. It got delayed and guess who's to blame - COVID. So it got today here. And the problems never stop so far. They say they have a 5 business day delay with clearing orders from customs. Not it will be done in 5 days, they have 5 days delay in the time they can clear orders from customs. This is ofc after I authorize them to represent me and sending all the required documents 2 hours after they contacted me. At least they did not blame the COVID this time around. It was and I quote too many orders. I gave 1 star cause there is no zero star rating here. So it came here in Bulgaria on the 21st and they said it probably won't be cleared for Easter. So you can imagine it will be here probably on May 10th.
All i ask is be more realistic about when you are able to make peoples deliveries you give a time frame and then you don't stick to it this is where amazon has everyone beat.

I sent an "OverNight" package from Calgary to Ontario Canada back in November this year. I ship live animals (live fish), that is the reason I sent it overnight. Well it happened that it was a "Big Snow Storm" in Ontario (they get a lot of snow storms in the winter time over there, so nothing new) and they even told me the truck that it was going to deliver my package "broke down". How is not this in their "Control"?
They delivered the package until next day and or course all fish arrived dead. Well I thought at least I was entitled to get my shipping back because they did not deliver as agreed (OverNight, very expensive by the way). They even denied giving me my shipping charges back because they said, the snow storm and their truck broke down was out of their control? You gotta be F... ING kidding me right? I was out of the fish and shipping fees (over $1,000). They did not even had the decency of at least giving me shipping fee back but they had the audacity of saying the truck malfunction was out of their control?
Will never ever will be doing business with this awful company ever again and I recommend if you are going to ship and OverNight package, ship it with other company more trustworthy than this fedex A-holes.

I (in U.S.) had a customer in Australia who suddenly decided to cancel AFTER the product had shipped and had already been delivered to Bongo. I raced to contact Bongo so they wouldn't ship the product to Australia. All I had was the customer's Bongo number so I called (immediately got a PERSON on the phone) and told them the number and that we had to cancel the shipment. They said okay, they would return it if they could get a shipping label. They gave me an email address to send it to. I emailed them that return label and they responded, thanking me for sending the label and saying they would be sending the package back. EVERYBODY I contacted at Bongo was very nice, professional, and quick. We would have lost a lot of money if this disaster hadn't been adverted.
I signed up for mail forwarding for my small business. Once they received some first class mail for me, I tried to have it forwarded. I was told that they would not forward domestically (within the US) without upgrading for a minimum of three months to the "advantage plan" at $15/month. Then, I would need to pay $16 for the actual shipment.
I expected an inflated service charge for the shipment, but holding my mail hostage for an upgrade that was not mentioned during sign-up is bordering on fraud. Actually the USPS calls it "mail detention" and is a bit of a legal issue for those doing it.
I have filled a complaint with the US Postal Inspectors, and suggest that anyone else caught this way do so as well. You can do so at:
