LOST A GOOD CUSTOMER

I moved, changed all my info online and they locked my account and asked for a copy of my ssn card emailed to them plus license and utility bill before they'd unlock my account. Right as Christmas shopping begins. Been with them 3 years, loyal customer with high credit. No way on this planet will I ever email my SSN card to anyone. I'll be closing this account ASAP. It's crap.

Terribly Irresponsible Company

Spent close to $3,000.00 on one single order and all but one of my 11 items were shipped to right address. I've called five times to this company, and tried to understand their outsourced claims department all five times, just so they could ship my bed frame to Minnesota... I live in South Carolina. They messed up and now I have to fill out a form so they can process it in two days? Then ship another bed frame another two weeks from now? But if I delay the payment by a month, I'm sure that wouldn't be fine right? How fair is this? If you like buying overpriced items that may be in working order and wasting your time running back and forth to ups to ship defective products back, then this is the company for you. Not me. Terrible experiences since they changed to fingerfetti, or whatever they call themselves now. Unsatisfied!

Horrible Company!

I have decided to STOP getting stuff from this Horrible Company and they keep calling me, saying that I still OWE them money and now they're calling my boyfriend too!. L am also getting e mails from them. I Already paid them but now I'm suppose to pay the interest too. They have my credit card information, my phone number, my email address and now my boyfriend 's information too. Very Annoying, horrible!. Stop bothering people!

Shipping stinks!

Shipping stinks and I want a refund for items I didn't receive in time for Christmas. Thought sure 2 weeks was enough time for delivery, especially when paying almost $40! Apparently I was wrong and fingerhut obviously lies about their shopping dates.

Still waiting!

I order à kitchenaid on June 9 and need it before the end of June - they confirm that it will be no problem at all - on my account the delivery day on June 27! This was very important for our new business - today our opening day! We still waiting and our clients are waiting too - this is unbelievable I wrote 5 email - and I don t have any news and where is my kitchenaid - regarding the tracking number: info unavailable - and they get Paid!

Communication sucks!

No one knows whats going on in your account. I have an outstanding account and paid every week. There is no reason for fingerhut to close my account because they switched banks. They sent an email saying congrats and how nothing has changed. Now they saying I would need to REAPPLY to REOPEN my account? Spoke to someone on Monday and he said not to worry that I could use my account within 24-48hours and sent me a promo code. I tried to buy a bag and what do you know? The account is still closed, confused? I am too...

Why? They approve you for a limit let's say mine went from $600 to $1000 and then ultimately $1300. When you make purchases everything is fine. You miss one payment they decrease your limit by $300. If your balance is paid off and you owe them absolutely nothing they raise your limit and give you a deadline to make such purchase so you can lock that limit. If you don't want to make a purchase and decide not to get yourself in debt because you have other obligations what do they do? They put remove you credit line and put it all the way to $0 in retaliation. This is probably the worst I really mean it the worst credit card company I have ever dealt with. Instead of rewarding you for your payments being current and zero debt they punish you for not making more purchases despite your good paying history. Stay away from this credit line. They suck.

Sending junk that doesn't work.

Bought a generator from fingerhut and a warranty plan. Generator doesn't work at all. I bought for emergency reasons. When needed it didn't work at all. Call warranty service I bought tried to send me 2 hours away to get it fixed. Now have to wait 2 business days for them to find closer place. Fingerhut Said I should of tried when I bought it. Didn't know Fingerhut send out broken item that cause over 500 bucks.

Predatory lender
April 10, 2023

Fingerhut harms its customers by preying on their financial weakness with promises of easy payments on things you need. It will cost you 3-4 times the actual cost of the items, and they will hurt you with no conscience. They rejoice in reporting negatively to credit bureaus, and gladly offer to do it again.

I believe fingerhut is making money on credit account purchases. They exploit individuals with poor credit, ask three times the amount for their merchandise, have terrible customer service and they will continue their approach because people want credit. Fingerhut is not concerned about quality, price or choice (people with poor credit have no options or choice)

STAY AWAY

Unfortunately, Fingerhut tries to cater to the low income, low credit, uninformed customers as their customer base. I do have a credit line with them as I purchased one item from them about 1 1/2 years ago but will probably never purchase from them again. They jack their prices anywhere from 30 - 60% higher then what you would expect to pay at another retailer or on Amazon. Then on top of it you pay absorbent interest rates on top of that and you probably are paying 2x for that item you could have purchased from Amazon. Even though I am low income and am rebuilding my credit I will find better ways to do so then pay twice what an item goes for.

FreshStart is a Scam
August 13, 2020

Instead of charging your first month when you long into the website; they will schedule it for a month in advance. Making you late on your first payment hence ruining your chances at graduation. I called and they were able to verify that I made the payment on time but were not able to do anything about it.

Worst Company ever

The worst company ever. My first Purchase I received they sent the wrong item. Customer service was no help making me wait 7-10 Business days to receive a return slip the it will take up to 15 days to process the return before another up to 15 days to receive the Item I really ordered. And expecting me to make payments on it during this time and I wont want or need it by then. The I'll probably have to wait another 10 days for my refund

I had a $1300 credit line. They reduced it to $100.00 I've never missed a payment and keep my account balance paid off. I called their "support" who told me they reduced it due to "credit issues." FYI - my credit scores are higher now than when they first assigned me my $1300 credit line. So, the account is now closed. They are too expensive anyways. Shame, I used them for gift shopping and the Holidays are coming up. They could have had my money.

I had a fingerhut account for over 10 years. I was in good standing with them, never missed a payment. Suddenly, my account was closed without warning. They said my credit wasn't good enough anymore. I just tried to open a new account (10 months or so later), and it says I still have credit, but with a $0 available balance. Just don't use this $#*!ty company!

I tried to order a pair if shoes. The payment was $30. Their order site said my debit card was declined. I had plenty of money on the card. I called customer service and they tried it again, said ut was declined. My card was charged $34.50 four times and they refuse to issue the money back on my card. I live payday to payday and that 100 dollars that they stole from me was my grocery money. It will take 6 weeks for me to dispute this with my debut card company. I am filing fraud and theft charges through the Minnesota attorney generals office against them.

Terrible company

I called a few hours after placing an order to make an adjustment to it. More than two hours since a placed the order had passed by so they refused to change the order. I emailed customer service and the closed my account immediately claiming that I requested for them to do so. Stay away!

So apparently I signed up for this safeline back in 2019. So I was like I do t remember that but was like I guess I should have checked my bill to see these charges. I don't want my money back for this, but when I tried to cancel cause its 30 extra dollars added to the monthly payment. The website it sends u too says it can't be reached and you call to cancel and they say their automated system is down. So for 2 weeks I've been trying to cancel and they still are down on the Internet. Righteous anger I think so!

Quality is awful

FH used to be a good company with quality things. I just got sneakers that were supposed to be wide. They're so small I can't get my feet in them and I got a size larger. I got a mattress topper. Two of the straps tore before I even slept on it. One strap tore completely.

Worst experience ever!
February 3, 2023

I was referred by Experian to start an account with Fingerhut. My credit score was decreased by 200 points. It was 655 at first. Then Fingerhut started adding fees to my account because although I paid on time, I used a money order. Next month is my last payment and I wouldn't recommend Fingerhut to anybody. Plus the quality of products is poor!
