I've now owned 2 Fitbits, a Versa and a Versa 2. In both instances, the watches died shortly after the warranty expired. After the original Versa died, I figured it was just a fluke and purchased a Versa 2 which also died right after the warranty expired. Their customer service proved useless when I was told they don't repair them and they gave me an offer of a 35% discount on a new one. Guess what I told them they could do with their 35% offer.
I have been a Fitbit user for a number of years. I love my Fitbit EXCEPT that I dislike the way the band attaches. I would prefer a permanent band rather than one that is interchangeable. I have had to glue the band back on my Charge 2 twice so far. It is annoying and it also means I can't wear it for a day or so while the glue dries. Is there a Fitbit that has a permanent, non-changable band? (Joan Henderson)
I purchased a brand new Fitbit Charge 5 for $180 and I've haven't been able to use it because they don't know what's wrong with it. I received it on 9/24/21 since I preordered it and it's just a $180 paperweight. They don't even know what's wrong and it's been 4 weeks! DO NOT BUY!
I had the Charge HR for 3 months before it broke. They sent a replacement and the caller ID wouldn't show up till after the call was done. Called Fitbit and they said it was a problem with my phone. Funny how I didn't change any of the settings and the fitbit from before work just fine. Doesn't matter though, the fitbit fell apart and will not charge now. I called the warranty department for a replacement and they stated thay it was out of the 30 day replacement warranty. So how do you have a year warranty of it breaks in 3 months and the replacement only has a 30 day warranty. Don't be upset people, they will be than happy to sell you a upgraded model for 25% off and it comes with the same great 1 year warranty.
My Charge 5 has given me all sorts of trouble. Sometimes it drains a. Harge in one day. Today it is stuck on the charge face. It isn't not tracking anything. I have reinstalled it a couple times thi king that woukd help. I loved my last fit bit. I have had several different ones over the last ten years. This is the first one I truly hate. It is under a year old.
I gave my wife a FitBit Charge 3 for a gift. It did fine for about 4 months, then it wouldn't hold a charge for more than an hour. I contacted their support and got the run around. Kept telling me I wasn't charging it correctly, or doing numerous testing to no avail. I sent them screenshots to show how fast a 100% charge would run totally out. They just kept giving me the run around. They would just not seem willing to give me a RMA so I could send it in for a swap or repair. I obviously got a lemon, because my personal Charge 3 has functioned as expected continuously for over 2 years. I won't be buying anything else from them.
Bought a Fitbit charge 2 in June 2017 by September lost its charge rang Fitbit they sent a new one excellent I thought by December it went wrong wouldn't charge this time they sent a refurbished product it is now Jan 2018 and now it was syncing intermittently now it won't sync at all. Despite contacting three times and following all the stages required my case has been closed. Luckily for me I purchased on a credit card so I will now trying to get a refund with no joy at all disappointing service indeed.

I have had three fitbit altas. All three had band problems. I lost the first watch when the band came off and I didn't notice it. The second one did the same thing. The third one broke and I replace the band three times. It broke again and fitbit said they "were working on the design" I could get a replacement band. What the heck good is a replacement band -they all come off the watch! I figured I could at least wear the watch for awhile if I glued the band on. I did, it lasted two months before the watch died. My LAST fitbit. NEVER again!
After this company changed their application I am no longer able to sync my Sensor to their application despite removing and reinstalling. I am tossing my Fitbit into the trash and will be purchasing another type of tracking device. FitBit is worthless! DO NOT BUY!
I've had a Fitbit since 2018 and purchased the new Sense in 2021. I had to get the sense replaced two times, and it has now died on me for the 3rd time. I spoke to the Fitbit customer service representatives and they couldn't do anything for me but offer me a 35% discount on a brand-new one... NO WAY!
I'm not wasting my money on their garbage devices anymore. It's glitchy and lasts a year, if that.
FitBit has a rating of 1.3 stars from 451 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with FitBit most frequently mention customer service, apple watch and heart rate. FitBit ranks 53rd among Activity Tracker sites.
Hi Joan,
Thanks for the love!
Fitbit's older devices have non-changeable bands. We've expanded our line of accessories and that made our newer devices' band interchangeable.
