Got a package delivered to forwardtome had to wait 35 days for package to be repackaged and then I was charged 22 pounds extra than I was originally could pay the company I bought the package from very bad back up service nobody answers phone nobody answers email just telling you they received email I got an experience I wont forget so much hassle

There are packages that we receive and mark as 'Repacking Required' either because we have identified the current packaging for the goods as poor and insufficient and feel the contents would be at risk of being damaged and to make sure the contents is more safely packed for international shipping or because we feel there would be a sufficient amount of excess space to save you by repacking. Upon further inspection of your most recent package I do feel our processing team made the correct decision with marking it for an advised repack as this was very beneficial to ensure the safety of your goods during transit. The repack advisory on a package is not mandatory, you do not have to proceed with the repack for your packages and you can accept the risk of shipping packages as received.

If you wish to dismiss a repacking advisory for a package, please contact our Customer Experience team for assistance.

Having assessed the details, we can see that your goods were shipped in the package used by the original sender (retailer).

It is common practice for retailers to use packages that are too large for the contents inside which is why we do offer a repack service, the aim of the service is to reduce the size of the package and in turn reduce the cost of shipping. This is a service that you can request from your package inbox.

If you can send us some photos of the package and how this was packaged inside we might be able to advise if repacking would have been cost effective.

The package was an Advent Calendar from John Lewis weighing around 5.7 Kg. When it arrived at Forward2Me they messaged me to say that there were 4 packages (1x10ml perfume, 1x12ml cologne, 1x Skin Care Product and the Advent Calendar. I knew nothing about the 3 small items and assumed they might be freebies from John Lewis, so I paid the extra £2 for a 'combine and repack'. When the package arrived it consisted of just the Calendar in the original John Lewis packaging. Also I was charged Total Chargeable Weight of 10.5Kg!

I can see that we had identified the products within the beauty advent calendar as dangerous goods for shipping purposes. All beauty advent calendars that are received to us, we have to identify and input any restricted products that are within the advent calendars individually-we cant simply state beauty advent calendars as one single commodity. This will be the reason why you would have presumed there was additional items or freebies in your package.
Due to your beauty advent calendar containing restricted products, the advent calendar required a repack service prior to shipping to ensure it was packed and prepared in the required size box to comply with Dangerous goods regulations for shipping internationally. We are only accredited to ship dangerous goods with DHL or FedEx services for shipping and your package was repacked for the DHL Express service because the additional dangerous good surcharge fee with DHL service is less expensive than with FedEx.

Unfortunately the dangerous goods packaging requirements and additional surcharge fees are not established by ourselves but by the accredited couriers who each have to abide by the rules and regulations set out by International Air Transport Association. Therefore there is no negotiation on the set packaging requirements or dangerous goods surcharge fees for shipments containing beauty advent calendars that consist of products such as perfumes and we understand that the packaging requirements that we have to follow for dangerous goods shipments can cause an unavoidable increase in the overall chargeable weight and shipping prices for our customers with the courier.

We are sorry for any inconveniences.

I bought a puzzle from Amazon Japan and sent to to my address in Japan because the seller wouldn't ship to Australia.
They only offer the most expensive shipping to Australia. Cost me AU$82 to Ship a puzzle that cost me AU$80

The system is kinda straightforward and works pretty well. Still, there are a few minor things that are worth mentioning - for someone outside the UK, the address generated by this service is hard to insert into the fields provided by most websites - this is fully my problem, not the Forward2Me (however some guide how to put it into the standard address fields might help). Also, the item needed repacking as if it was multiple items but it actually was originally in one package (at least according to the photo they provided me on reception at the resend facility). Lastly, it's kinda funny that the more expensive shipping is actually cheaper as there are online coupons for large discounts :). Overall pretty pleasant experience with the possibility to store the package for up to 30 days free (I had no time to deal with it in the first week or so). I would use again if needed something specific from the UK but would greatly appreciate an option to optimize the taxes process as they are still outside the EU and the shipment is then stalled in the process waiting for additional documents from my side...

I paid for EXPRESS to (estimate 1 to 2 days to arrive), which was well above 100 euro to ship. For whatever reason it took 5 business days to arrive, and this is realistically no different from the 6 to 7 day estimate for the standard shipping which is 5x cheaper. I will ALWAYS recommend to use NON-EXPRESS services as it seems whatever courier services they use for express just never are express and are only a tiny bit faster for a MASSIVELY much higher cost. Definitely not worth using those services.

I am sure this has largely to do with BREXIT but in this case they should not offer services that cannot hold their end of the bargain as it just makes them look bad.

Your shipment was paid for on 08/03/2023 at 12:17. Unfortunately this was after the cut off time for our morning collection. Your shipment was still shipped and dispatched the same day at the UK warehouse on 08/03/2023 at 16:13.
From the terms of trade section 9 on our website https://www.forward2me.com/terms-of-trade/ this clearly states that the delivery times for the Forwarding Service will vary according to your delivery address and the courier chosen. All transit times stated by the couriers should only be considered an estimate and as a guidance as these would be subject to any transit or connection delays and exclude time spent in customs which is beyond our control.

We are committed to offering our customers the lowest prices in the industry and to ensure we continue to do this we also provide a price match, free return to sender, and a refund guarantee.

If you have found a lower price for an identical service before requesting a shipment, you can send us a link with the offer and we will match the price.
If you have changed your mind after your parcel has been received in our warehouse, you can simply request our free Return to Sender service and we will handle the return for you completely for free.

I bought a single mens perfume from the UK... just one. Forward2Me emailed me that they needed to repack my order for them to ship to Canada. Now I've bought fragrances before in the UK but this perfume supplier didn't ship to Canada so I found Forward2Me online. Well, after using this service I ended up paying almost as much for shipping as I paid for my expensive perfume. What they did was repack my tiny parcel into another box which was 20 times the size which sky-rocketed my shipping charges. Just take a look at my pic that I posted here. If your reading this and work for Forward2Me. Let your manager know because I'm going to keep on posting and registering complaints on your company until they either credit me back in full or I'll 20x your loss by costing them new and repeat business. I wouldn't trust this company and other manufactures that I know have pulled out from using them as well as they've been garnering complaints for recommending Forward2Me to their clients. I wouldn't trust this company if I were you. Hope this helps. Cheers
