I had never used them before so was slightly worried purchasing online and not really knowing anything about them but I ordered a lovely coffee table and took a chance. The service was fantastic from start to finish updates by email and telephone calls every step of the delivery. I then with confidence purchased a breakfast bar and yet again excellent service. I'm just wondering what I should order next
Horrible experience with these clowns. I bought a dining table for my mother, who sadly died before it could be assembled. FiF wanted £30 to collect a £90 item, which I baulked at. I wrote them a TrustPilot review reflecting my disappointment. They rang me and we agreed a £10 collection fee. They were a no-show, so I had to cart it all back to my home and rearrange the collection. DPD turned up this time but were only expecting one package rather than three, sigh. They took it, thankfully, and FiF acknowledged receipt and agreed that the items were in perfect condition. However, they only refunded me £59.95, keeping £30 rather than the agreed £10. They have since ignored my emails. Total crooks. Avoid at all costs.
Ordered two items totalling over £700, first item, had various parts missing, including all screws and instructions, second item, top of sideboard completely cracked. Customer services were not helpful, you have to send a 'ticket off' to report your issues, then they ask for pictures, many times over. After 3 days of consent emails and stress, I asked for a refund and was told 'you may get one, you may not' and the phone was put down. Luckily for me I paid by credit card so my bank dealt with it. Do not order from them
Terrible company with even worse customer service. Enquired about a faulty item, only to be told it was down to wear and tear.
Despite numerous emails, company unwilling to help, but quick enough to take my money.
Avoid this joke set up at all costs.
They have no interest for customer care, nothing seems to progress - I place the order almost three months ago adn have been chasing them ever since then. Nobody ever returns calls or shows any willing to help.
Ordered 2 items which declare on site to have "lots in warehouse" and qualifies for free delivery. I then receive email telling me that one item is out of stock so I cancel but that means paying delivery - fair enough - except that (Scots beware!) my postcode means paying additional fee. Looking closer, they deliver free up to 100 miles north of Edinburgh but 20 miles out of Glasgow deserves additional cost. My postcode is not on an island or requiring side roads, it's by the M8! Customer services wouldn't budge so I cancelled the order. No, I don't recommend.
Tip for consumers:
Check they really do have the stock before paying and check delivery postcodes.
It's shame because the quality of furniture is great, but delivery disappointing. I am waiting already for two months for my delivery and customer service lies to me in every week that next week I'll receive my items. They used my money (£650) for more than two months. It's annoying. Avoid the company!
Was initially pleased with bathroom cabinet purchased even after waiting for about 6 weeks for delivery. After 11 months unit started to swell due to moisture contacted customer service and sent photos and was told it was wear and tear and not guaranteed. Would understand if I put a tv cabinet in a bathroom and it did this but not for furniture designed for bathrooms. Not fit for purpose be warned
Ordered 400 pounds worth of dining chairs and one arrived without a base... so I called up "customer services" to find not one person was interested in offering me a verbal apology but directed me to an online form without an assurance another base would be dispatched that day so that there would be minimal inconvenience to me... very disappointed with this company and most certainly will not ever buy from them again nor will I recommend them to anyone else. I would rather be another 400 pounds out of pocket than deal with this atrocious company or their staff again.
Terrible customer service which has left a very bad taste in my mouth.
I ordered £500 of furniture which has never been delivered. If you call them they tell you to email them for any queries you have but either the email just bounces or does not get answered. Now having to go through a credit card charge back to get my money back several months later! Stay well away!
We purchased (not a cheap) cupboard and coat hanging suite for our hallway, no hooks to hang it, had to drill the holes and fill in holes incorrectly machined, missing parts, parts not numbered etc.
Worst flat pack furniture I've ever seen!
Stay well Clear!
Table arrived damaged. Large tear in box with massive scratch to table top directly underneath. Offered me 5% discount to keep. Refused and spent the following 3 days arguing with them to arrange taking the table back. The table top itself was not as per description. It was just a cheap bit of work top. Terrible quality, certainly not worth the £700 we had paid for it. Table legs arrived in a box that was so wet and damaged, the stainless steel legs just fell through the mush that was left of the packaging. No fixings either. Had to find our own packaging or they would not agree to the return at all. They then started threatening that they would deduct money from my refund for any damage / missing items. Ended up getting credit card company involved. Took them 10 days and 2 attempts to collect. 1st collection the guy just said 'can't get that on my van, no room', got back in the van and drove off. Spent the next couple of hours arguing with them about that... AVOID AVOID AVOID
We rarely complain but the Jam glass bar table and 4 Ripple stools (costing just under £500) were flimsy and of poor quality. The stools were uncomfortable. The company were very unhelpful and we could not get a refund, even on the unopened boxes. We have since given the set away in disgust! Wish we had never come across this crowd on the internet! Take our advice, go to John Lewis!
Poor furniture company. Not cheap but they r so bad. Won't buy from a company that is not run by British people. This one is not and am not racist. These companies are badly run as they think they can deal with customers the same way they do in their countries.
I am upset with myself that I bought from em.
Just don't buy from this outfit, they will drive you insane. They will take your money and then ask you to return faulty goods at your cost (make sure they sign for it). After nine months I have given up trying to get a refund or a replacement. This was my worst online shopping experience ever, absolute bloody rogues and avoid at all costs. They will only make you ill.
This is by far the worst company online I have ever encountered. My first negative review. They sell their goods by misrepresenting the product. Selling at high prices and then send inferior or damaged goods. If you want to return anything you have to run the gauntlet of their non existent customer services. Then they have the cheek to make you send their crap back. The internet is full of buyers warnings and not just presently. Why they are still trading beats me they must have friends in high places.
The worst customer service I have ever experienced! Impossible to even find out what happened to my order after I purchased £1500 from their website. They have no interest for customer care, nothing seems to progress - I place the order almost three months ago adn have been chasing them ever since then. Nobody ever returns calls or shows any willing to help. Absolute nightmare!
Order Number: *******
I recently bought a shoe cabinet from these cowboys. Upon assembly, we discovered that one of the holes was too big, which caused a crack in the item. When we told them about it, they said that it was our fault for causing a crack and that we should pay for replacement parts.
They have since decided to offer the replacement parts for free, but only if we pay an extortionate delivery fee for them. Their intransigence is utterly staggering, while I echo the frustration of a previous poster who laments the ticket system and the demand for photographs to be provided. Contrast this with other furniture companies, who are only too glad to help when an item is delivered with a fault.
The gall of these people to say that I have caused the damage when it was their shoddy craftsmanship that was to blame takes the breath away.
Their customer service department is a joke: a sickening mix of rudeness, arrogance and smugness that is truly off-putting.
I received my order from this company, to find that not all parts were included and of the actual parts they sent, each one was damaged! I asked for a replacement set, and they came back with a 10% discount (£9.99)! Eventually, they gave me a full refund, as I didn't want to buy from them. The shelves I bought were £99.95, and I have now got some £40 ones from Argos, which are just as good and I'd say better quality.
Do not buy from this company!
Tip for consumers:
Do not use it.
Returned goods within 7 days, after calling them 3 times and being promises a call back which never happened I finally managed to get them to agree a refund. They refunded my money £50 short. I then spent a week calling customer services and leaving messages as instructed but they didn't call back. I also emailed which also went unanswered. I then rang the sales line who put me through to customer services only because I refused to get off the line until one of them where free.
Customer services then told me it was a delivery charge even though the goods where advertised as free delivery. One hour later no joy refused point blank to refund my money.
Worst company I have ever dealt with.
Ordered in October table and chairs supposedly in stock obviously not got my table after several phone calls and 6 week wait -keep being promised chairs every week but have not yet arrived customer service awful don't order if in a hurry
I purchased a entertainment unit which is a large unit
Came flat pack in 8 large boxes which was as expected. On building the unit i discovered in the last box a small door which had a manufacture issue. I contacted customer support. They asked for photographs showing the problem which I sent. They then sent me an email saying i had built the unit and this did not conform to terms and conditions end of.
Very poor service I paid £1000 for the unit and i cant finish it. Would not buy from them again. All i can say is buyer beware.
Paid £189 for a Genie high gloss shoe cabinet to go in kitchen. Paid this high price as kitchen units high gloss and wanted it to match, plus wanted the quality. The Item was filthy dirty with black marks all over the inside, disgusting. The unit itself did not fit together properly - it was very unsturdy, wobbles sided to side, two of the shelves are too short and won't reach the edge shelf holders and-overall it is such poor quality. As we had started to assemble, they won't touch it now. I have bought better for 1/4 price in Ikea. Would never buy an item from here again.
We bought a beautiful leather bed. It is very comfortable and looks great. It arrived slightly damaged and I rang Furniture in Fashion who immediately offered to send me a replacement part or a partial refund. No hassle, very quick, very polite and friendly.
I purchased leather sofas online from Furniture in Fashion. They arrived on time in good condition with a great service. The men asked where I would like it & it was no trouble for them to take it to my desired room. They were polite, courteous and I would definitely recommend them to anyone who appreciates good service and value for money.
They only deliver to ground floor & then charge you £30 & hidden charges when you can't accept delivery. If you live in a flat with stairs & can't lift heavy items don't order. Courier refused to deliver to my door and got very aggressive shouting at a female when told if they couldn't deliver upstairs they'd have to take back item. They will then deduct hidden charges from your refund of £30 even though it's not your fault. Read their terms before ordering. Ridiculous company & shocking customer service! I'd advise not to order from them.
