Alyson began to assist me and I explained I had an important meeting which required me to have my new pants altered and my shirt required patches for this week. I am not going to use any of it, it is all going to be returned. I have tried to cancel the order many times before they shipped it. I tried canceling it the day after it was ordered, I sent many requests daily, for 3 days. Not one response, that is until the day they had it ready to be shipped, which was 2 days after the day it was supposed to be shipped. Not a good customer service department at all.
I ordered a ballistic vest cover for my hubby who is a retired officer to wear following open heart surgery as he felt it would help secure his chest while his sternum bones healed. I inquired about overnight shipping with the lady that answered the customer service number when I called to order but she recommended against it as it was Friday and she said it wouldn't ship until Monday anyway. I asked about paying for Saturday delivery and she said no that wasn't possible either. So when I hadn't heard anything by Wednesday I call to be given a tracking number that showed on USPS that they were still awaiting my item. This customer service representative said call back on Friday if nothing changed on the website which is exactly what I did. Friday morning it still showed awaiting package so I called. The gentleman took my name and phone number and said a "specialist" would call me back. No one ever did so 5 1/2 hours later I called and asked to speak to a supervisor. The lady refused to put on a supervisor instead put me on hold for 12 minutes and came back to tell me usps showed it was being delivered today which in fact it was. The problem was they had given me the wrong tracking number. If they had any integrity at all, they would have tried to figure out what the problem was days before but no…they just gave me the runaround and forget ever speaking to a supervisor. We have bought many Gall's items over the years but they've lost this chicks business.

Ordered an item because I believed it when I read ships within 24 hours, a week later and I'm still waiting. You may have fooled me but I'll make sure everyone in my dept knows about your false advertising
So I order a pair of boots and pay for shipping after reading, any orders over 100 dollars is free shipping. Also used a coupon code for 2 day shipping and well needless to say it's been a week already still no boots. Called them today and guess what they say it should be there in a week. So if you need or want to receive fast products go ahead and go somewhere else because it won't happen with galls. I would have put less stars but 1 is the minimum amount they allow. Thanks galls for false advertising and poor business. Y'all will be a company that closes down and I won't be surprised.
My husband ordered a bag back in October. When it arrived, it didn't match the pictures nor the product description. He contacted Galls customer service and after more than 8 weeks of run around and no return calls at all even though they promised multiple times, I've finally received a refund. However, that refund is $12 short of my purchase price. We have decided that fighting for that $12 is not worth the aggravation.

9 days since I placed my order. They said it would ship 2 days ago only after I pestered the heck out of them. Their site says it still has not shipped. This is a horrible way to do business. Spend a couple bucks more and buy your gear somewhere else. They offer all kinds of discounts and codes. It's bait, don't fall for it. I only wished that they lived up to what a typical, honest business would do.

Ordered a pair if pants through them and Amazon. Exact same size and Galls was way too big. States there is a $10 dollar shipping charge to return the item which is absurd! I am simply out this money because it's not worth returning for that extra charge. There was no tracking for shipping either so did not know when I would receive the item. Would never do business with them again.
I would like to start with the fact that even if you get the smallest item from this company the shipping is astronomical. In a current world where most things are shipped fast and free, a never evolving company like Galls is reminding us what getting stuff shipped back in the early 2000s was like. Super pricey and super slow are your only two options they offer. Let's go over how long it takes to even get to your carrier. In a warehouse of 2 people (or so it seems) your order and everyone else's is very slowly packaged and sent out the door. If you call to figure out why it's been two plus weeks since you ordered the item and the status is still "In Process", you will get a verbal apology at best. So, if you are ordering from them be warned and be prepared. Just look on the brightside, you will get your item(s)... eventually.

My only beef with Galls is the prices seem higher than other places, but it is the Macy's of police gear. It has the largest selection, best customer service, and fast shipping. It has been trusted by many in law enforcement for many years. Really can feel secure ordering from Galls
I recently purchased a jacket through they're website. Received a confirmation email and they charged my credit card. After about a week without getting a shipping update I called customer service to get information. They said my order didn't exist. When I forwarded them a copy of my order confirmation they said "oh, that order has been cancelled, the jacket is no long available". This BS from a company that claims "World Class Service"?
What happened to Galls? They used to be one of the best places to get things, not anymore it seems. I placed an order for a pair of boots. All the way through the checkout process they were, "In Stock, Ships Within 24-Hours." Put all my info and credit card in, hit Place Order. Next screen for Order Received now states the boots will not ship until 12/12/22, two months away and they charged my credit card. Seriously wtf Galls? Called the next day to cancel the order. Then the day after that I looked at the order on Galls website and it still says processing! Finally got the order cancelled I hope, will have to wait a few days to ensure the charge comes off my credit card. But will never be buying anything from Galls again.

Getting a uniform from Galls is nothing short of a nightmare. They will not return phone calls. They will not allow you to return uniforms. If you order a uniform be prepared to wait for an incredibly long time as everything is on back order. The ambulance service I work for uses them and about 90% of our staff wishes we used someone else.

It's has taken me close to a month (trying) to get the right duty belt and trouser belt going through about five or six customer service personnel. They kept sending me the wrong sizes so I had to ask for a manager, at which time they put on a person that identified himself as a manager. He assured me that he would get everything straighten out... we agreed that the size that work would be a size 50... guess what they sent a size 64. So after being a customer of Gall's for years I will never do business anymore with Gall's... i am Not even sending the belt back, I am taking it to have it cut down to the right size... NO MORE
If I could give no stars to this company, I would! As a Law Enforcement representative, it is embarrassing to associates with the Galls (Riverside, Ca location). My Jacket was brand new (still with tags on) was too small for me. I went to Galls and asked, if I was able to exchange my jacket for a bigger size? There was two associates working the back, tailoring area. The skinny lady was super nice, but the bigger lady, the one who helped me, was horrible. She immediately had an attitude and accused me of wearing the jacket. When I told her, I was issued the jacket and it was never worn, she then asked for my information and said, I wasn't in the system, so she's not taking the jacket back. I understand if the policy prohibits them from taking back a brand new jacket, nothing I can do. The customer service on the other hand, could be a little more professional. This store doesn't back its Law Enforcement representatives, definitely a store you can't rely on…..

Well, I learned my lesson and I won't order from them anymore. I try to order from people I would like to stay in business, but as a professional in business for myself, I depend on items I ordered months ago to be here when promised. Yet, another delay. Probably will cancel my order and surely will never order again. Don't shop here. They take your money and then you never see your order. All excuses.
The reviews are accurate. I wish I saw this website before placing my order. Ordered pants on the 22nd, and they still haven't left "Pitney Bowes" in Kentucky. Unbelievable. Expected 12/8. Two weeks for a pair of pants? Are these being manufactured after the order is placed?
Last August I ordered a pair of 5.11 boots from Galls. They soon sent me an email saying that the order was delayed. Then they proceeded to keep sending me thse delay emails about every 2-3 weeks. Finally I got exasperated and wrote to customer service. No reply. I wrote again. No reply. Again. No reply.
Eventually, some months later, I got a reply that said, "Sorry, we kinda dropped the ball. You can have 20% off on another order." And the boot order was still delayed.
No way was I going to order anything else from them. So I just waited. Now today, about 5 months later, they've cancelled the order.
Never ever buy anything from Galls. This is a very bad company.

Ordered a tactical vest for a friend in Ukraine and was told it would be shipped soon. Three weeks later, no vest. Called today and the lady on the other end of the line said it was on back order from the shipper, same line as two weeks ago. Terrible service. Do not oder from Galls.
I've been a buyer of first responder gear from this Company for over 5 years. I have been happy with all my purchases except one. I purchased a pair of Galls duty boots and wore them twice and they were always kept in my airconditioned closet. I went to put them on after only 2 days of use and the sole fell of and after inspection the other was coming off. Customer service denied my request to replace them. I'm making this review so as no other first responder has to suffer with the poor customer service I received as I will NEVER purchase another product from this company. One pair of boots and the lack of class in the phone conversation resulting in a refusal to replace the boots that I would send to them so they could see they had only 2 days of use and were perfect except for the poor construction and rubber. You LOST a long-term customer.

The response from their customer service: "I have contacted the vendor and they advised that they had to cancel this order on their end as they will not be getting this style any more."
If I didn't write to them to check the status, I would still be sitting here thinking my order was forthcoming. I suggest to anyone that is considering ordering from these people to call just to confirm if you're actually going to get the order because they will not willingly reach out to their customers & act professionally. This company is the worst of the worse. I ordered a jacket from Galls on 11-4-2021 and was told seven different times by the reps that my jacket would get to me in 7-10 days. It has been almost 7 weeks and no jacket. They even told me that FedEx would overnight the jacket, No jacket still in warehouse. This company is horrible and I do not recommend anyone to order anything from Galls. I was told a different lie each time I called. Account reps do not return calls and if they do they are slow in doing so. If I could rate them a -0 I would.
