On Dec 19,2020 I ordered an elevated planter bed due to my hip and back issues. I contacted them multiple times and they told me mine was ready to ship every time I called. I just read an email from them stating they couldn't fulfill the order. It is JUNE 2021! Wtf. Horrid experience. Never again.

I ordered 3 deep raises garden beds. Yea right! It was 15" tall with only two rows of cedar. Online they show 3. What a scam. When I wanted to send it back. Haha. A hard NO. Don't order from them. Liars, terrible customer service, rude and dishonest. They get you when you can't ship it back because of the cost to return. Go to garden easy.com You get what you see online and they don't lie in the picture to make it better or bigger. I am contacting my lawyer. Thank god he specializes in mis-representation cases. Lucky me. If anyone wants to join in a class action lawsuit. Contact me at *******@aol.com

Ordered planter list in stock, paid via PayPal. Weeks later, still not shipped. Contacted them and they claimed they couldn't process PayPal. Paid again with CC. Still not shipped a week later, contacted them and said they use a vendor that takes 10 days to ship and the clock started over once payment processes. Wth — multiple excuses on why they still have not shipped an in stock item. A gift ordered well in advance for Christmas will not be arriving on time. Thank for your poor service.

Placed an order of almost 90 dollars. Got an email that the planters I ordered are on back order so I called to cancel my entire order. Waited on the phone for 1 HOUR. A lady helped me & then said she had to transfer me to a manager to complete the cancel of my order. I waited on hold for another ten minutes. Finally the "manager" says "Hello?" & I said "Hi!" & she said "so. What am I helping you with?" & I said "I need to cancel my order" and she HUNG UP ON ME. I've sent many emails to their customer service and haven't heard anything back. Called again today & waited on hold for an hour and fifteen minutes for for a voice recording to come on and say that my call can not be completed at this time?! I'm so upset. Do not order from this company. They're so dishonest & horrible costumer service!

Is this company still in business? On May 18, I ordered $150 worth of products... on May 19 received a confirmation listing my order dated as May 20. The confirmation stated that the product was back ordered until May 5... that seemed strange. The confirmation stated I would receive notification and delivery date upon shipment of the order... uhhhh ok... it's May 29... have heard nothing... have tried to get through to customer svc several times... left on hold for over an hour... tried to look up order on website only to get an error stating my order info doesn't match their records. Time to call credit card company to get a reversal of the charge. Sad too, I was plannig to submit a second order.

I ordered an elevated planter box in March. I was told the Cedar was backordered, but the Cypress was in stock. So I ordered it and bought my 300 quarts of potting soil. It has still not arrived and it's mid June 20! I keep asking if it's been shipped and 3 days later I get an email telling me it has been delayed. They keep moving the ship date another 1-2 weeks, but then it doesn't ship on those dates either! They never tell me it's delayed. Said they will tell me when it's shipped! I want the bed at this point, but I will never order from them again. Horrible customer service. If they would just have been honest with me about the expected ship dates, I would have gone elsewhere or not purchased the potting soil, sitting in my driveway all summer.

Tip for consumers:
Don't trust what they tell you. They keep advertising a product in their catalogs and on line that is not in stock and hasn't been for months, but neither one tells this to you accurately.

My shipping time is now over 3 months and I still haven't received it, so can't answer this.

A planter I ordered is two weeks late. When I called to inquire, my 1st customer service contact put me on hold and never came back. After 15 minutes on hold I hung up and called again. My 2nd customer service contact just hung up on me, or dropped the call after a few seconds so I called again. My third customer service contact took all my information, said she'd check on my order and that she would contact me within 24 hours, which never happened.

I ordered a ton of stuff from them at the beginning of covid since I couldn't get supplies anywhere else. The order took forever, which might be excusable. Many of my plants died before the potting soil arrived. But all the non-soil items are cheap-looking and worse, there are no instructions for the self-planters and I ordered 6 of them. I kept thinking I would find instructions online but the online instructions are for different products and I can't figure it out. I will never order from this company again. Very bad service.

I ordered a shelving unit in April. Was told a few weeks later that the order wouldn't ship til mid July due to heavy ordering and I was offered a cancellation. I cancelled. My bank account was refunded and confirmation of my order being cancelled was given to me via e-mail. This was a 900 dollar purchase, mind you. One week ago.(July 23rd or so,) my bank account was taken from for that order again. They over-drafted my account and still won't refund me after the items have been sent back... and they were stopped mid shipment. I never even received the items... This was purely their fault and even after two phone conversations with their customer service, they haven't refunded the money. I still cannot access my own money because they stole form me and over-drafted my account. This place is a joke. Typical of a business trying to make all the money but not taking responsibility for their deficiencies.

I purchased what I thought was a planter box with a tomato trellis but when the package arrived without tracking information it was just a trellis. The same day before the trellis arrived I asked for a refund and since April have not received any response. Returned a product with USPS tracking 3 months ago and never received any response. Customer service is non-existent despite the return of the item. I have the UPS tracking receipt and the cost of the return was close the product cost.

I placed an order of Amarilys plant to surprise my mother in law for her birthday. The picture was showing three flowers. I ordered fast to received asap. We received almost two weeks after and. Surprise! I received three flowers holders... called customer service and the lady told me sorry we are not responsable you order base on the first picture. Your had to take a look of others pictures to see the product. YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR THE RETURN...!
Very nice Customer service! First and last time with this company!

I have tried calling over 8 times with waits that exceeded 45 minutes and each ultimately disconnected. When I finally reached a representative they were not qualified to answer my questions advising me I needed to speak with a supervisor in which when I was transferred I was disconnected twice! When I called back for the 7th time they suggested that the supervisor call me instead which NEVER happened! This was all over a 'billing glitch" that was a mistake on their end NOT mine! I have been a loyal customer for over 15 years but they are definitely going downhill! DO NOT recommend especially if you ever need to contact their customer service!

I'd say terrible customer service but it's more like NO customer service.
Same deal as everyone else. Order 2 raised garden beds on May 3rd. My order confirmation says in stock. They were supposed to be shipped after May 10. It is now May 22nd. I sent multiple requests for answers through their website. No answers except the automated someone will get back to you. Never happened. I called and was told the wait time was 45+ minutes. Waited on hold for 1 hour 15 minutes only for another automated message saying they were having phone system issues over and over. Had to hang up. Just sent an email trying to cancel my order but have no faith that they are going to even respond to me after reading all these other reviews. Seriously, just go somewhere else for your gardening needs. If they ignore my requests to cancel, I will be taking it up with my CC company and they will end up with a chargeback.

I purchased a 4" cultivator hand tool and found it to be heavy and crudely made. When I asked to return it, they said no thanks just keep it. Now what do I do? Throw it in the trash? I doubt their composter would recycle it.

Item ordered 3 days ago hasnt even shipped. Said they take up to 6 fays to ship sn order but they have a labor shortage and it is now taking 2 weeks (9 business days) and in the meantime i have varmints eating my seedlings. Never bothered to send ne a notice and will not cover costs to expedite shipping methods even though it is their failure, not mine. Will not order from them again.

I ordered the jorafoam composter on 4-19-20 and after receiving absolutely no order or shipping status info. (It's now been over a month), I tried contacting them on line... no response that way either. I then tried calling them and immediately got a recorded message saying that it would take 45 minutes for them to answer the phone. After an hours and fifteen minutes, they answered saying that it was being shipped from the manufacturer' and I would be advised via email in about a week and half.
I feel like a made a personal interest free loan out to this company to use the money I sent them for as long as they want with no compensation on my end... until they feel like getting around to completing the order.

Because they are slow to respond, extremely hard to get any information from and are actually selling items that they don't have in stock, I will NOT be dealing with GARDNER'S SUPPLY COMPANY in the future... nor should you.

Gardener's Supply runs a poor business. I ordered an item that was backordered until May 5th, when I ordered mid-April. Around that time in May, I went to the website and they said it's in stock. If's it's in stock, then they should be fulfilling orders. Apparently, they keep their own stock to sell and sent all the backorders to the manufacturer who they can't even get a hold of. It's almost June and their email support never got back to me. I'm still waiting on the cancellation my order that included my experience and also reading all the poor reviews of the business. I was looking forward to this product but their logistics and style of dealing with a backorder was an inconvenience and unprofessional. If you're going to deal with backorders, fulfill them first before putting the item as in stock.

Ordered what was pictured as wood stand with bamboo trays
When I recived the package I opened to find I had paid a outrageous amount for two trays only!
This was suppose to be a beautiful gift and now I have bamboo kindling.
When I called customer service they stated they had to make it look nice for the website and would only be able to refund me after I paid a outrageous return shipping after already paying a large amount to have a unusable product shipped to me. I would never buy from this company again and would advise others to shop elsewhere

COVID or not, this company does not understand the importance of service after the sale. They are quick to encourage you to order from their website through emails, catalogs, and such. But once they have you as a customer, beware. It is like having surgery. The prep nurse going in is very nice. The post surgery nurse is a pain in the butt to work with. With surgery, this is good. For an online purchase, this is bad.

I am a pretty serious gardener. Back in late March I ordered some peony cages. When I ordered I was told to expect them in May. When they didn't arrive I went to the website to cancel my order because I needed something at that point. When I went to my account the order wasn't there. It had disappeared so I couldn't cancel. I assumed the items weren't available and they had cancelled my order. I replaced what I didn't get from them for about $50. Turns out what I bought locally was better than their product. Now (July) the order showed up on my card and at my door. Too late to be of any use and costing more than 4 times the replacement! I ordered one other time thru Amazon and that worked fine. Avoid going directly to their website. Amazon gives much better options when things go wrong.

Tip for consumers:
Go through Amazon. You will be able to see and cancel your order when things take months to long to arrive. Also check locally. When I did I got a better and much cheaper product.

Products used:
I will put the products in storage until next year and attempt to find a use for them. The issue is the almost four month wait and the inability to cancel the order when the wait was completely ridiculous.

I ordered 2 bags of Fox Farm dirt on 4/20. Received ordered confirmation immediately... items in stock and on order Threir site said due to Covid may take upto 10 days to ship. After 12 days still not seeing shipping notice I called them... I was warned wait time on hold was 45 minutes... in fact I waited probably longer. Not a problem. Finally a woman responded... she was appologetic for the wait... after checking on my order she said she would have to email or phone me on the following week. The following week i got an email thst said essentially... sorry we are out of both different types of dirt you ordered and we don't know if we will get more... but keep watching! Two weeks wasted waiting with an hour on hold... for a sorry we are out email... unreal. Don't waste your time here...

Why? Customer service is non-exitent, so good luck trying to find out why an order you placed never showed up; if it finally comes and is broken then you're stuck with it because they'll never get back to you unless you drive to their headquarters and tell them how terrible their customer service is. And for that reason, I'll tell every person from the rooftops to NEVER buy from them again.

Your companies undoing will be this: "I heard from the grapevine", which will either cut your sales dry for the crappy service you provide or make you change for the betterment of your company and for the happiness of your customers who keep your company alive.

Which will it be? Employee owned too! Get with it, I want to patronize such businesses but if your customer service is more shady than the big mutli-national corporations what does that say about you? A 3am h**ker in shantytown for poor service gives me more of a response than you do. And I'm not even into that stuff.

I've emailed and called to no avail. They sent me this product with a BATTERY INSIDE THE GLASS LANTERNS, which obviously broke them. Not only that, but the product was in a shoddy "recycled" box. I need my money back and I don't think it's fair to pay for shipping after this item was broken not because of the deliverers, or me, but because they decided to put loose batteries in a glass lantern. Who does that?

I ordered product, I was not satisfied with what I received. I returned product according to instructions on packing slip. They received the items on May 29th. A week later I called, I held on the phone for one hour a 10 minutes to be able to talk to someone. The lady I talked to couldn't tell me anything about my return. She said she would make a note of my call. Today is the 20th of June, I have not heard a word from this company. I certainly would not recommend them due to the fact that you can't get hold of them and then they just don't care.

On May 20th, Ordered and paid for hi rise sprinkler, never received it. Called and they said it got lost. They said they would send me another. Have never received it. It is now July 9th. Gardener supply is the worst!
