I bought a new iPad so I researched and Gazelle offered the most, my iPad was like new, but I sent it as good. After I sent it in they offered me almost $100 less, which would put it in the damaged category, I am glad I took pictures of it before I sent it in, I want it back, no thank you scam!
So first of all I did everything right when it came to shipping my old iPhone 6. Then I didn't hear jack squat from them. My item was delivered, and they told me my "box" was empty. Well I sent my phone in a bubble wrapped Manila envelope. So they took the phone, and flipped me the bird! Don't trust these clowns! I never received any email from these people until I complained about my status of payment for sending my phone. This is a month later!
I sent in 2 phones ba k in February of 2023. Received payment for one for after several calls and emails. I never received payment for the second phone after multiple calls, emails… I asked them to finally call me. They acted like they'd never heard from me even though I have a case number. Crooks. Not customer driven at all. They basically stole my phone. Beware.
Gazelle is a total rip off everyone they scratch my phone and stole my original box; saying phone was scratch when they received it. Which is a lie, phone was never activated an still had plastic on it. People please find someone else the will screw you every chance they get. Also they take your phone apart just imagine the shady practices are going on.
I ordered a Samsung Galaxy S22 and received the product one week. They sent an Apple charger in the box. Needless to say, I cannot activate the phone until I can charge it. Sent an email to Customer Service since their phone lines are always on overload, their response was "use an adapter!"
Sent them a samsung s23plus, green from T-Mobile paid off immediately, phone was unlocked with no scratches, cracks, and with unpacked charger cable. They offered $547. Just got offer of only S270 because the claim phone was not as described. I have pic of phone, pic of serial number, that it wax T-miobile and unlocked. Gazelle stated they lowered price because network was not T-Mobile, but other. Apparently, techs or inspectors don't know what they are talking about or they're trying to rip me off.
Bait and switch...Never use gazelle
Bait and switch...Never use gazelle to sell your used items. Once they receive your item they will offer you less saying your item has too many scratches on it. I sent them a samsung phone in immaculate condition. They offered 90 dollars less than my offer. This is deceptive business practice and they should never be trusted. What a horrible way to conduct your business
I got a quote on my iPad Mini for a decent price. Sent it in with the original box. I was then given an updated quote for way less ($11) citing significant scratches (that's usually their catch phrase). There a literally no major scratches on my device. Upon rejecting the offer and getting my device back (without the original box). Why did they keep the box? This is not a reliable place. DO NOT USE! Shop around for a better deal.
Bait and Switch
Gazelle is a total fraud! I got an offer for a 4 month old iPad 10th generation, still with AppleCare+. It was for $311, which is basically equal to the selling price on eBay, minus fees. The iPad was immaculate, as it has been kept in a case, its entire life. After holding onto the iPad for over 10 days, I received an offer of $205, claiming that there were "an unacceptable amount of scratches on it. This is Gazelle's business model— make a decent marketable offer, and then lowball the offer, claiming that the device is damaged. Read all of the reviews of Gazelle, before doing business with them. There is no phone number to discuss the situation; all there is offered is digital communication. Expect the "buy low, sell high" business structure from this unscrupulous company!
Gazelle delayed my shipping 3 days after I ordered, another week goes by and they email me again stating my order was back ordered. Another week goes by and my order was automatically canceled. I called support and after an hour on the phone, they have no other phones of the same type in any of the colors, I cant keep my order and wait for one in stock because they automatically canceled it, AND the only compensation they were willing to give me was 20$ off my next purchase HOWEVER I used the first time customer discount for 20$ off ALREADY on my purchase. SO they gave me absolutely nothing because I cant reuse the first time purchase discount anymore. This is such a pathetic business practice to sell stock they don't have then sting you on for 3 weeks just to not give you anything for it.
I am just an average customer. And this
I let the good price get me. Got a Pixel 7 Pro, which looked amazing when I opened the box, only to find out that the phone crashes every time you open the camera app. I spent two days doing every fix on the internet to no avail. The camera even crashes in safe mode. Seems to me like they didn't turn it on to test it, as a working camera is one of the 30 points in their inspection. They also don't do exchanges, which you will find out after you get your broken phone from them, you have to dig for that info in the FAQ section. Pretty shady if you ask me. It seems to me that they are expecting everyone to pay the $30 expedited shipping, send a broken phone out, pocket shipping money, get the broken phone returned, and move on to scamming their next customer. And remember a 30 guarantee is not a warranty. If you're like me, you'll be out a phone for a week or so while the phone is sent back and my refund is issued so I can afford a new phone. I use my phone as a social media manager constantly, so this is hugely inconvenient. Also, I emailed Gazelle customer support asking for any help with the issues with no response.
I placed an order for a used iPhone on Gazelle. I was informed by email several days later that my account had been flagged as fraudulent, so my order had been cancelled. I called customer service (30 minute wait time) to find out what had flagged my account, he was unable to find specifics, but thought it might have been a wrong address for my cc. He assured me that the order had been reactivated.
3 days later I had not heard from them so sent an email asking them to confirm the status of my order. 18 days later I received an email from them stating they could not reinstate orders. Will not use this company again
Gazelle sold me a phone that was frozen by my carrier because of the preveous owner not making the payments. Gazelle after many calls and a lot of time refused to take the phone back. Terible customer service, I have been buying from them for years but they seems to now be running a very sloppy business and will never shop from them. They seem to not check out the phone at all.
I tried to sell my ipad air 3rd generation and gave me offer of $204. So, I sent them my device in mint condition no damages or any scratches. Then they inspected my device and gave me $81 due to scratches! I emailed them so many time nobody get back with me none whatsoever. I called the customer service no luck always say will escalate but nobody cares. I asked what part of my device were the scratches the agent said she doesn't know. So, I know there's some mistake because my ipad has no scratches even 1 none. I don't know who's item they inspected i know its not mine. I hope they didn't send me other ipad that has scratches! That's wrong and illegal. I really don't trust this company worst customer services ever.
You cannot get a hold of anyone. When you do, you can't understand them. They were not helpful at all. They tried to take your device and not pay for it.
I sent a 10/10 condition Google Pixel 7 locked to T-mobile. The offer they gave me was $379. Once they received the device, they rescinded the original offer and gave me an offer of $78 due to: severe scratches and device not being from T-mobile but unlocked! Lol! The device was in immaculate condition and DEFINITELY locked to T-mobile carrier. I declined their offer anr requested my phone back. Hopefully, I receive the phone that I originally sent and not another device. I would rather use backmarket as before I had a carefree experience.
Tried to sell them my Samsung Galaxy S20 Note that was less than 2 years old. Phone looks and works like new. Gazelle originally offered $270 and I sent the phone. They emailed me back saying the offer had been "adjusted" to $26 because it was "still connected to my Google account, does not make a call, and has scratches". The Google issue was easily fixed in about 30 seconds, the rest of Gazelle's narrative is a classic bait and switch scam. Box ID PS*******779, order SR*******039.
The phone was in like new condition when I sent it, I have videos and pictures of it being boxed up. When I got it back, it had a slight mark in one corner of the bezel that Gazelle is responsible for. It's clear they dropped it or deliberately damaged it. The video and pics I took before sending it show ZERO scratches or damage. I tested the phone with TWO different sims(ATT & Verizon) and both worked perfectly, no trouble making calls.
I had them mail back the phone, listed in on ebay and sold it for $238(item ID **************). Based on my experience and other reviews I have read, it is clear they are making offers on phones they have no intention of honoring. The many reviews that buyers left stating phones that were advertised in "excellent" condition were clearly not, with all different kinds of damage, is further evidence of bait and switch.
Stay far away from Gazelle.
Gazelle offered me $77 for my iPhone SE 2nd GEN They ended up only giving me $47 claiming it had too many scratches on it. I always kept it in a protective case with screen protector.
Who is running your customer service? On hold for 38 min, no response to twitter message, no response to email. Phone bought in excellent condition needs new battery! AVOID THIS COMPANY. THEY ARE A SCAM SELLING INFERIOR USED PHONES AND MISREPRESENTING THE CONDITION #customerservice #usedphone #gazelle
Bought 5 tablets iPad 8 32GB WiFi + 4G LTE (Unlocked). When received, I received 2 of them being wifi only. Had to go through a tedious refund process and multiple reps which aren't even out of the US so very hard to understand. When I told them I will need to buy them back, they said they will give it to me for the same price of what I purchased them for. When calling in today, they could not match that price and were very rude.
Answer: No experience with that. Experience with their staff and their customer service, don't fo business with them. My phone was returned in October, and I still have not received my refund. They finally sent me an email saying my return was received, in December but tracking showed it received in October, and still no refund.
Answer: I would not buy from or sell to Gazelle regardless of what they claim.
Answer: No! Dishonest! Had to file a dispute with my credit card company tinged my money back and that took 3 months
