False advertising, the website shows you a location map for you to check if your location is inside of the pickup area. My place was located inside the square, and I discovered that they wouldn't pick me up because I was in airbnb, and not in a hotel. This distinction between hotel and airbnb is not clear in the purchase page, so take careful.

The sheer amount of tours available on this website is fantastic. I really love that I have tons of choices and can easily compare. My first complaint is that there needs to be some way to keep tour companies from changing original itineraries or canceling/moving tour dates. Once I have paid for a tour, I want that tour on that day at that time and it should be guaranteed even if I am the only one who booked the tour. This is something that GetYourGuide needs to fix. Also, I despise tipping, so the best way forward is to price the tours at an appropriate price with tipping in the equation so I don't have to think about it. Other than that, I've always gotten my money back for canceled tours and believe everyone at GetYourGuide to be very professional. I recommend this site for any traveler looking for interesting activities.

Our guide Shawn was super informative and entertaining. After doing the tour I realized I missed an opportunity to visit a bunch of interesting places that I didn't even know about. Unfortunately for me, I booked this tour on the last day of my vacation so I am planning another visit to NOLA.
I got a reservation for the National History Museum on my last day in New York, but the line was extremely long. I was not able to get in. GetYourGuide did not tell me before making the booking that I had to also make a timed reservation with the museum. When I asked for a refund, they said I had to cancel 24 hours ahead of time when I made the reservation 1 hour ahead of time...

This was the first time we used GetYourGuide. I have to admit, I love the app. Everthing that we needed was right in our hands. The admission tickets for all of our events, meeting place with directions. It was wonderful. It was divided by the cities and countries that we were visiting. The only complaint was a few times we were told to meet our Get Your Guide at the meeting point who would be wearing a Get Your Guide shirt and a white flag. They weren't there because a different company was sponsoring the tour. So you have to look very carefully at your ticket information for your sponsor. We almost missed our Pompeii tour because of it. Other than that, I would definitely use them again for our next trip.
Did a tour to Tongyeong, my tour guide was David Kim, he was so awesome so knowledgeable spoke really great English, and he took the most amazing picture ever! Honestly I really recommend this place the views are amazing!
Paid Eur 530 for a "Private Tour" of Fontainebleau Castle in France. When we arrived, we were told the Castle was free to the public and handed headsets by our "guide." He said he couldn't give us a Private Tour, and that we would get a refund. GetYourGuide denied the refund, blaming their "local partner." There's no recourse for the customer, so I had to write this review.
I bought a train and bus pass through their website no place during the reservation. It says that you have to go to the airport and pick it up and it's not a r-ticket after I paid for it it notified me that I have to pick it from the airport when I try to cancel it, they claim that there is no 24 hour window cancellation,
I had to go to the train station and buy another pass and actually it cost half the price

Had ordered trip to valley of the temples from Palermo which meant to be pick up from hotel and drop of. So i assumed it'll be as advertised so someone will pick me up, nope i got email i have drive 9km to meeting point which in Palermo is physically impossible, send them email the only reason i chose this over others was the fact of pick up and drop off. I was assured driver will pick me up, about 40mins later i seen message from my bank i got refund for the trip and email from them my hotel is not on list for picking. Basically pick and drop trip that would have a guide only if there more than 13 people turned to be drive yourself there and back and if enough dummies come we will give you guide. Well still can't think off what was the payment for if there is no guide and you have to drive there yourself as tickets to the place aren't included. Anyways i do not recommend as it's by definition false advertising.

Bought tickets to Harry Potter tour in London, December 2018. Wanted to cancel because of bad online reviews. Wouldn't refund money. So I was stuck. When I got there, waited on line with grandkids and wouldn't let us on the bus. Said our tickets had been cancelled by GYG. I had vouchers, but they were worthless.
Con merchants. Misleading information. Refused a refund. Thought I booked an audio tour of Edinburgh castle as they state you can see the Crown Jewels but they say entrance isn't included. I would give no stars if I could. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

My daughter used the Best Miami Jet Ski app provided by Get Your Guide & was ripped off. She prepaid & when she got there they told her she had to pay an additional $110 deposit which would be returned to her immediately after she finished skiing. They told her the money would be refunded to her account. When it wasn't back in her account she called them & they claimed she owed the money at which time she proved she prepaid & they agreed the money would be refunded. Bottom line she spent the last 2 days of her vacation calling them, proving she owed the money, promised a refund, promised return phone calls & pretty much just getting the run around. They never refunded her money.
So it's 3 pm on July 13, and they write to me that my tour of the Eiffel Tower tomorrow morning at 9 am is cancelled because, get this, tomorrow is Bastille day and the tower is closed. I mean, could you possibly be anymore incompetent than that? And then GetYourGuide just blames the tour provider, as if it's not their name that made me book it in the first place. If I had a tour provider that cancelled an entire day of tours because they apparently weren't aware of the biggest holiday in France I would kick them off my platform, but apparently GYG doesn't care about whether they work with quality vendors or not.

Booked Colosseum skip the line ticket ahead of my trip and got confirmation email with ticket so i planned my family vacation schedule accordingly. On my tour day, i realized this is a voucher only and not an actual ticket and need to contact local provider to get a real ticket. When i finally went to meeting place which was ~10 min. Walk from Colosseum entrance, local provider (Wonder Rome?) guy said they made a mistake and didn't prepare my tickets and they claimed they don't have any responsibility since i paid only to GetYourGuide. This was the worst experience i ever had on my trips. GetYourGuide provides a platform connecting travelors to local providers but when there;s any issue, no one holds a responsibility hence I need to deal with all the trobles they casued. Strongly recommend not to use this platform for your trip and find more reliable one.
I always use Get Your Guide to book my trips. The Guides are always very knowledgeable and welcoming. I prefer to organise my trips before I go on holiday. We visited Dubrovnik for the sunset, city walls tour and day trip to Montengro. Both very enjoyable.
