I can't speak to their guides or tours, but I can attest to how poorly executed their customer service is. I booked a reservation. I never received a confirmation due to an issue with my email address. I kept reaching it out multiple times to get confirmation on my reservations to no avail. Finally, I booked a new reservation thinking that the previous wasn't booked. Weeks later someone finally reached out to me and confirmed the 1st reservation. I explained I only needed one reservation. They cancelled the 1st one, confirmed that I had one more reservation but the price went up by $90. The 2nd reservation was for the same day, time and number of people as the 1st reservation, but they refused to honor the original price even though it's the lack of their response that caused it. This level of service is not acceptable in the US.I kept going back and forth with them, asked to speak to a manager and they wouldn't let me. DON'T BOOK WITH THEM
Our family of nine booked everything we could before our vacation. We planed a great day out to the Durno Valley in Portugal. We received a email the day befor out trip saying the tour company canceled two of your family members. They said the GetYour Guide thought we had an error and booking 7 adults and two children. When I explained it was not an error and we wanted to go on the tour we were told they could only accommodate 5 people and refused to take the 2 month old and the 2 yr old. I explained that when the tour was booked we told them of the 7 adults and two children. This took place June 11 2017 and we have been fighting to get our $500.00 refund. Think twice before you book your outings
The APP is very easy to use. I've been using this APP for long and once again in May 2023 I got everything I was looking for. It was very easy to book and had no problems in profiting from 3 different tours in 3 diferent cities.
Certainly made the right choice by booking through get your guide. Booked two events... a 3 hours walking tour and the Loch Ness trip. Highly recommend.
Great tour! Our guide Dave was awesome! I would highly recommend! He timed out going to see old faithful erupt perfectly! Was very passionate about his job!
A complete package which covered everything, our guide Alam was a big help throughout the tour. He went extra mile to explain things, took amazing photos and much more.

Canceled prior to sat this was a 381.00 gift that 2 places I had call after a year of trying get money or another booking I learned a 381.00 lesson DO NOT TRUST CITY GUIDE...

Did booked on the wrong date. Wanted for rescheduling. Didn't get rescheduled neither refund. Just paid for nothing. I would not recommend anyone to buy tickets from here.
The app was good and easy to navigate. Instructions were clear. Had issues doing the payment on my bookings and had them all sorted thru the live chat. Follow up were prompt!
Had the most memorable trip with my husband and met many wonderful new friends on our trip including our guide 84 yr old guide Peter from Empire Vacations! He was knowledgeable and humorous, we learnt so much on the trip from him. The bad weather to Niagara Falls didn't dampen our spirits as promised by Peter. Felt that the itinerary were good and overall smooth sailing though at certain point there were slight changes made due to circumstances which happens all the time - as travellers, we need to keep an open mind and be more patient & understanding for a overall enjoyable experience.
Bus was clean and well maintained by driver, Michael. He was extremely helpful and patient. Thankful to him each day for loading and unloading all our heavy luggages with a smile.

Couldn't get a refund because of their "policy". Gf's mom passed, so I'm alone. Walking around like a drunk clown because I have type 1 diabetes and had really low glucose, looking for the launch spot for the lunch cruise. No refund, I will NEVER EVER use GetYourGuide EVER again. Neither will my friends. Not only was my valuable TIME wasted, but so was more than $300 of my well earned money. Directions to find launch site were NOT WELL DETAILED. I'm not from Chicago, so I don't know where everything is at. If I could give the ratings negative stars, or even a ZERO, I would.

DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, BOOK YOUR ROBBEN ISLAND TOUR WITH GET YOUR GUIDE, THEY ARE AFFILIATED WITH SAMS TOURS TOUR GUIDES NAME PETER, WHICH IS A COMPLETE RIP OFF, THEY ROBBED ABOUT 20 OF US, TOOK OUR MONEY AND NEVER BOOKED OUR TOUR, WE HAD TO PURCHASE TICKETS AGAIN, THIS IS EMBARRASSING AS A LOCAL I WAS EMBARRASSED TO SEE HOW THE TOURIST ARE BEING RIPPED OFF, SHAME ON YOU!
I've tried twice a year, for 8 years, to list our tour with them. Every time they keep giving us error messages. We're listed with everyone else, with all of their competitors. I can only conclude They ARE NOT A LEGITIMATE BUSINESS, BUT RATHER, GETYOURGUIDE IS A SCAM.
Beware cancelled less than 12 hours before excursion by email, only picked the email up 1 hour beforehand!
AVOID - one star is one star too many for this company.

Booked a tour of Alhambra palace with live guide and additional points of interest with Get Your Guide a month in advance, all paid for and received our confirmations with names and passport info. Spent more than 8000$ for travel and accommodation and food and local transportation in high travel season, not to mention taking off from work ( 4 working family member) to get from New York City to Granada, Spain, only to receive an email three hours before meeting our tour guide, to say " So sorry, your booking has been cancelled due to some computer error, we will refund your money in 3-5 business day".
No contact info, after our hotel concierge contacted some local number for this site, we were told oh yeah, this happens with this company all the time.
A face to face interaction at the site of the tour meeting with some of their local guide representatives resulted in more meaningless apologies and a possible offer for a visit in two weeks! We are leaving the country in two days!
Do Not waste your resources and vacation with this company, you will kick yourself later.

Took this tour the fist week of August. Bill was an awesome tour guide and very knowledgeable. Tour could have been a little longer as I'm sure Bill had more for us to learn
Looking for a tour at Vatican in Rome Italy, booked at "Getyourguide", luckily this was for 5 months from now, wanted to review my trip for planning and could not get onto the app on my iOS device. After several attempts to log in and change password I called, agent informed me you CANNOT change your password on the app! How is anyone to know that, kept getting error incorrect password. Went on their site and still could not access my account, told him to cancel the tour and I would go somewhere else.

BEWARE if you have Covid and need to cancel they will keep your money and refuse to do anything about it, even if you provide proof of a positive test result. We traveled to Scotland recently and we're infected with Covid. We couldn't make our tour because of this so we called both GYG and the venue we were supposed to visit. The venue said of course they would approve a cancellation due to Covid and GYG asked us for proof in the form of a positive test. We sent that and they randomly refused to refund our money. We asked several times and informed them that the venue told us that all GYG needed to do was call them to ask if they'd approve a cancellation and they would approve it. We told GYG this and they repeated that they wouldn't refund us. Now we're stuck with a voucher we'll never use and they have our money so we've had to dispute it with our credit card company. Super slimy way to treat customers and we will never give them our business again.
