DO NOT BOOK TRAVEL WITH THIS COMPANY. I was in Las Vegas recently and had a trip booked to the Grand Canyon but came down extremely ill with Covid and was isolated in my room. I was merely hours within the company's cancellation policy yet they refused to refund my $107 trip fare unless I went to a Dr. and showed evidence of a positive test. Unable to leave the room (and return cab fare to an urgent care in Vegas plus copay would wipe out my refund anyway) I sent them a dated snapshot of my drivers license and positive test. The company flat out REFUSED to refund me and suggested that, instead, I GET ON THE BUS AND TAKE THE TRIP. Sooooo - this company is so desperate for $107 that they were willing to expose a busload of unknowing customers, many of whom were elderly, to Covid (my friend took the trip and verified later the demographic) rather than DO THE RIGHT THING. I have snapshots of the chat and subsequent emails where the company repeatedly tells me to get on the bus with Covid- I'm happy to post them online. This is customer service and safety at its worst, makes you wonder how often they check the brakes on the buses…. DO NOT TRAVEL WITH THEM. Them online. Financial gain is prioritized over passenger safety and customer satisfaction.

Skip the line tickets?

We booked a deal for London for the tour bus London eye and river cruise. We where told that the eye was booked for the following day. When we asked we thought it was for the original day we where told 3 times NO it was the following day. We then went the following day to be told our tickets where for the previous day. This really upset my children which where so wanting to do this activity. We spent £180 on this for a lousy bus ride as the cruise queue was far to long to access. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY THEY RUINED MY KIDS HOLIDAY AND AS I SAID AGAIN TOOK £180 FOR A BUS RIDE. TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE. AND AS FOR THE CUSTOMER SERVICE. THE GIRL WAS HELPFUL BUT APPARENTLY COULDN'T GET IN CONTACT THE SERVIVE PROVIDER TO RATIFY THE PROBLEM. SAID THEY WOULDNT REPLY. It was a Friday so don't understand why they couldn't, they where trying for over 8 hours apparently. This company couldn't organise a drink in a brewery if I could give no stars I would. Holiday ruined for the kids never mind the full day of my holiday trying to sort.

Our tour was just weird, badly planned. We were picked up at 8:30am but didn't stop for food until 3pm. The tour guides added places where they wanted us to spend money, the tour description did not tell us that it cost money to view the Tule Tree, and although the tour description put the mezcal factory tour at the end of the day, we got there before noon, which is a rotten time to be drinking mezcal. The unexpected stop at a panaderia was directly after we finally ate. Naturally, no one wanted food at that point! This tour had the feeling of something they planned at the last minute, and therefore could not proceed as described. The hours and hours of no food were, in particular, awful, especially with the trip to the mezcal factory thrown into the middle of it. Who wants to taste mezcal in the morning, with no food? Well, alcoholics maybe. The description included Hierve de Agua as part of the tour, and we never made it; other descriptions of the tour did not include references to it. We weren't expecting it, but others on the tour were, and were very disappointed. This is the tour to take if you don't really care where you go but just want to get out of Oaxaca City. Poorly planned and executed.

From supplier perspective: Horrible customer service, never responds on time, has the highest commission fee of 25% and provides service and technology at a level of 5% commission, never assists travelers with booking challenges they face, communicates via email only, lacks professionalism and quality of customer service. Peek Pro, Viator, Booking.com among others are truly leading in this arena, GetYourGuide disappoints over and over again...

On the image attached they state: "A member of our support team will get back to you shortly". Is a 48-72 response time short?! PeekPro and Viator responds in 15 to 30 minutes! You loose bookings due to GetYourGuide inefficiency and lack of timely response. In addition, for many tours you need a booking cut of time of 48 hours as you need to arrange transportation, logistics and operations to execute the tour, and GetYourGuide gives you a maximum of 10 hours! See the 2nd image - Imagine the traveler books your tour at 12:30AM for 10:30AM same day, how could you make all the arrangements at the last minute in the morning?

The technology behind the GetYourGuide system is poor quality, neither is clear nor easy to use, definitely not worth 25% commission they charge, all other API systems currently charge up to 22% with immaculate customer service, top notch technology, excellent customer service, prompt response when needed, perfect customer focus, incredible interface and user experience on both sides - vendor and traveler. See the following image of PeekPro response in approximately an hour, whre GetYourGuide only sent an email:"Ticket received - Ticket ID [#*******] Thank you for getting in touch. We will respond to your message as soon as possible..."

Unfortunately I would not be able to recommend GetYourGuide to anyone - vendors an travelers alike.

Do not use GET YOUR GUIDE! They sent the meeting location and time by text which was expected. We waited for the time to meet at the designated location which was confirmed through their own app linked to Google map. It confirmed we were at correct location. 5 minutes after the designated time to meet and no guide present I received text with different location which was half an hour away. Obviously we missed the tour. I Called company and explained the facts. Company refused to refund 104 Euro stating it did give refunds for "last minute cancellations." Went to venue, Acropolis looking for the guide and group. Explained situation to venue security and were told Get Your Guide constantly had same problem with other customers. They also said it was not a reputable company and that a lot of people have had the same complaints or experiences.
Please note: They will send bar code or QR code that looks official but it is not for admission to the venue. Therefore we had to buy tickets at the venue, another 40 Euro.
DO NOT USE GET YOUR GUIDE FOR ANY BOOKING!
Before you waste your money read the scripted responses from this untrustworthy company. You will see lack of acceptance of responsibility but most important you will see no response stating a refund will be given.
When you get defrauded by Get Your Guide or are otherwise deceived you must notify your credit card company that you dispute the charge. Give the reasons for the dispute. If the credit card company gets enough disputed charges they may eventually reject charges from Get Your Guide because of the number of disputed charges.
Get Your Guide has NEVER offered to refund the charge paid by a customer. You can confirm this fact by reading the responses to people who took the time to share their negative experiences. How many defrauded people remain silent?

I was on a 2 week vacation in Greece. Everything went well until we decided to do the "3 island full-day cruise" for $145 EACH, less than a day before the trip itself. Aug. 2nd, 2022. Unfortunately my friend got sick and was not able to make it. The original company I did the trip with was very nice. They told me right away that because the other person was not able to make it I will get the second $145 back. But I bought it from a third company (getyourguide) so I have to talk to them first and they will confirm that only one of us made it.
So I did just that, contacting "getyourguide". Three separate times through many emails and once by phone as soon as I got back to the US. The answer was always the same: they have a 24 hours cancelation and I have to send a doctor's note! One thing: how would I be able to cancel something 24 hours before if I bought it 15 hours before the trip?! The other thing is that we are living in a pandemic! Anybody can get sick anywhere, anytime! Turists usually don't run to the doctor in a foreign country, especially not without any insurance! They usually self medicate themselves! Plus if there is a possibility that you might have Covid for example you can not even go to the doctor or anywhere else! You must isolate yourself! (Luckily my friend had "only" stomach flu and heat stroke, but still...)
Long story short... the answer is always the same! They can not do anything and they keep my money! I've never heard anything like that! This company is very unfair, has 0 compassion and just takes your money! Disgusting! They ruined my whole vacation!
BE AWARE OF "GETYOURGUIDE"! Try to avoid any third party, period! You can always buy the tickets from the original companies for even less money and you don't have to go through hell with them, because they are fair!
Any suggestions what else I should do to get my money back?
