We purchased Aquarium tickets through GetYourGuide.com last summer.
Unfortunately one of my kids tested positive for Covid and we were unable to go. I called customer service to cancel the same day and was told I can get a refund. This was less than 24 hours of my purchase.
The customer service people were so friendly and SO willing to help, but in the end nothing was ever refunded.
I called this summer to see if I could get updated tickets and use them this year, they said sure, "we will send this to our resolution department, it should take about 5 days.
I had called in June to use the tickets mid July. I've heard nothing…8 calls and Emails with the same response of "Please send us your email and confirmation # so we can look at your case". I've complied every time.
Still zero resolution or communication from a human.
I'm out $160.
I feel robbed and extremely sad that there're still companies like Get Your Guide which unprofessionally insult the consumer's trust.
I purchased a regular ticket to visit Acropolis, which resulted validated three days before. At the entrance, the security informed me that this unpleasant inconvenience happens often times when tickets get bought through Get Your Guide.
I called them five times and always received the same vague explanations. One time I've also trusted them when the customer service person promised me to send a new (hopefully valid) ticket. I was relieved... until I realized she sent me back the same invalid one, with the same booking reference and details. A complete mockery!
I booked a special 3 hour semi-private 3 hour luxury limousine tour as a surprise for my partner. No one turned up at meeting point and telephone numbers were unobtainable. I paid £168.00 for the two of us and was devastated. Will take it much further when we get home!
The best choice if you want to enjoy your trip and sightseeing without concerning about staying in line for tickets, entrance and so on.
The price offers are excellent and only few clicks away. You can book while having a coffe or drink.

Liars, terrible customer service. Their app gives random conflicting meeting points so you miss the pickup spot. Customer service does not refund and sends you a copy/paste email no matter what you say. We lost over 100 euro with their service.

Booked a tour for our family at Camp Nou in Barcelona for over 500 euro. Date was changed at time of booking to a week prior to our arrival. Had horrible time contacting an attendant to address booking error, but finally found a working phone number. We spoke with 2 different attendants that told us they would call the venue to reschedule, but they never did. I received an email an hour after speaking with the attendant more or less telling us too bad ( and camp Nou has not even opened for the day). They scammed us out of 500 euro. Don't use this company. Book directly with the venue. This is a terrible company.

We used Get Your Guide for 2 tours during our recent vacation. We were very satisfied with both although we did not get to see everything we thought we would on our helicopter tour of Zion. That is not their fault but the advertising was a tad misleading. They should state that no flights can go directly over the park.
However the pilot was fantastic and made the experience memorable!
Booked a tour in Italy in April 2023. Our guide didn't show, we called, texted, emailed and got no response. They blamed it on us, saying we were late even though we have time stamped phone calls and text messages asking where the guide is. We still haven't received a refund. During the same trip we booked 4 Viator tours...all excellent. Stay away from Get Your Guide!

I can't say enough good things about get your guide. They really came through on all my excursions and transfers booked through them. There customer service line is excellent and were always very helpful and understanding.
I accidentally booked an excursion on wrong date my fault they were able to cancel (last minute) and gave me a credit for future booking. They didn't have to do anything but they were really nice and made it work being that it was so last minute they couldn't book a other day during my stay. I appreciate all there help and patience. Travel can sometimes be hectic and they are really there for you.
We recently visited Charleston SC, and because of the extensive history, I decided to book some tours to learn more while seeing sites. This is the first time I have actually used Get Your Guide and it was extremely easy. We booked the Magnolia plantation and historic city tour, which made for a very long day, but glad we did both. We also booked ft sumter, and a haunted carriage ride tour. The staff were super knowledgeable about the history and also shared knowledge of things to see present day. If you are going to visit a city, I would recommend checking out Get your guide for tours they offer, especially if it is a city you want to know more about like the history.

Answer: Answer is very simple, they overcharge the local company with a huge comission. They are sucking bloods of local suppliers! You can buy tours way cheaper if you buy directly from suppliers, for sure.
