I receive a gift card for appreciation. I try to register it and it said error. Then I call it gave me the total amount. As soon I try to use it declined. Call customer service was a waste of time. Never received it back. They keep trying for me to give them my address and other unnecessary information. When I keep telling them it was a gift.
To a close family friend who is a congressman and to my uncle who is a federal judge. They stole from me. This is a predatory company and needs to be shut down. I suggest that everyone who has this experience report it to their congressperson. They can shut it down. There can also be a class action lawsuit. They make multiple million of dollars in lost funds every year. It is crap
Website is horrible, customer service is worse. Fulfillment is snail-slow. Would never do business with them again.

I purchased (2) $100 Safeway Egiftcards. I called within 24hrs to find out why my daughter had not received an email and was told that my order needed further information to process (even though my account was already debited, not held as your associate told me) I was then told that the order would be processed and she would receive her email with the attached cards that evening or first thing in the morning. The next morning she received 2 emails with a "redeem" button attached. Neither email had a working giftcard, she was notified to call customer service. Since that day I have placed multiple phone calls to the 877 number listed on my invoice and have been told that it was moved to a second level tier for further investigation. I was told it was an IT issue and that department was working on it. In the meantime my daughter (an ex Marine) has no access to money to buy groceries for my grandchildren. The past 2 days I have multiple calls into Giftcardmall to find out a status update and have been told the same thing I even asked your representative if the 2nd tier answer was a canned response since each rep had the same exact response as well as multiple review sites online that consumers use to let others know of fraudulent activity from vendors. My last call to Giftcardmall today I had a Safeway customer service rep involved in the conference call. I asked the Giftcardmall rep if they have known that they had an issue for well over 4 days were they still offering giftcards for Safeway to still be purchased causing others to have the same issue and I was told "YES". This type of business practice is very alarming and unfortunate that a company like Safeway has partnered with.
DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY! I ordered a gift card for my niece and the gift card was never delivered. I called them after 3 weeks of it still not being delivered and they said it was sent out but that there was no tracking number. I called again at 4 weeks and they said it would be there within the next few days. I called back 5 weeks after I ordered it and they said it should have been delivered but they still couldn't help me. So I asked them to deactivate it. That was on the 19th. Well the 24th I get a call that my niece received it. I called the company again to see if the card was still active but they said it was deactivated on the 20th. HOWEVER, the post stamp on the envelope that the gift card was sent in was post marked for the 20th! The sent it the same day they deactivated! Here I am 2 months later still no refund of my money that I spent on the gift card. I had to send out a check to my niece, instead of getting another gift card. At least I know it is sent out and she already received the Check and bought what she wanted. I will NEVER go through them again, and neither should you. WORST COMPANY EVER! Oh, and I just got off the phone with them about my money being refunded and it should be to me within 15 business days... And since there was a Holiday it is actually turning into 23 days from when they say my refund was approved. WOW!
Tried to purchase a measly $25 electronic gift card from this company on 12/10, never received it. Called customer service on 12/11, stated they would resend it, but it could take 3-5 business days. 12/12, still no gift card, I waited until 12/16 and called again.
Customer service tried to tell me it was something on my end with my email. I asked that they change my email then to another. They stated they did and that it would take 3-5 business days for the request to be processed and a new electronic gift card to be sent.
Here were are 6 days (12/22) later and still no gift card. I called back and was told there is no record of my call on the 16th, but they could update my email today and in another 3-5 days I should receive the card. I asked to speak with a manager for a refund... BIG SURPRISE... you cannot speak to a manager... they have to put in another request for a refund which takes... you probably guessed it... ANOTHER 3-5 DAYS... GRRRRR so beyond frustrated. THANK GOD IT WAS ONLY $25... I WILL NEVER, NEVER ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY AGAIN AND I ADVISE ALL TO DO THE SAME. I WILL DRIVE TO THE CLOSEST STORE TO BUY ONE MYSELF! AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE TOO!
Ugh. On 7/1/10 i purchased two gift cards at a safeway from giftcardmall.com, one for $500 and one for $50. Later that day, the cards were stolen out of my car. I immediately called the company and reported the cards stolen. After half an hour on the line and two pauses for manager approval, a woman named sandy told me that they were sending out replacement cards and that they would arrive in 7-10 days. On the 15th, the cards still hadn't come, so i called back to ask about the status. I was on the line with a man who could not find any of my information and who hung up half way through the call (i guess he just didn't want to talk to me?), so i called back yet again and ended up speaking with sandy again. She told me that the cards had been sent on the 1st and that if they hadn't arrived by friday i should call back. Surprise surprise, no cards on friday. I called back again the following monday, and was told the cards had been sent on the 5th instead of the first, and to yet again wait till friday. They STILL did not arrive, so i had to call back yesterday (7/26/10). After being put on hold roughly nine times, i finally spoke with a man named damien who told me that because i had purchased the cards at safeway, they couldn't do anything to help me, and that he couldn't even find my information in their system. I asked to speak with a manager, and finally got through to one, who told me the same thing. I told him that i'd been told replacements were being sent, and his exact words were: "i apologize for that misinformation, but you need to call safeway."
So, basically, this company a) lied to me repeatedly for three weeks, b) does not have any support system for cards purchased outside the website, c) allowed me to cancel stolen cards but could not send me a refund for that cancellation, and d) stole $550.00 from me.

I ordered two visa gift cards from giftcardmall.com. The first visa gift card ordered was sent via UPS next day air guaranteed delivery for 12/31/2012 by 10:30 AM. I received the activation code for the visa gift card via UPS next day air but I never received the visa gift card on 12/31/2012. The tracking information said the visa gift card was out for delivery. I did not receive my visa gift card from giftcardmall.com until 01/02/2013 at 10:17 AM. When I called UPS for a guaranteed service refund a supervisor named Wendy advised me that they were not able to issue a refund for the express delivery fee $19.99 because the service contract with giftcardmall.com does not allow refunds. So basically I had to eat the loss of $19.99 because UPS had too many packages on 12/31/2012 and not enough drivers and giftcardmall.com would not issue a refund of the shipping charge. For the second visa gift card order I received the visa gift card on time on 01/03/2013 as promised via UPS next day air mail before 10:30 AM, BUT the activation code that I received (on the same day, different envelope) was not for the correct visa gift card! They overnighted the wrong activation code, the code that was sent to me via UPS next day air mail was not for the card I ordered on giftcadmall.com. The activation code I received was for another gift card ordered through Staples.com b(staples.com is an affiliate/partner of giftcardmall.com). I didn't even order overnight service for Staples.com. I called customer service for giftcardmall.com and they said they would send a request to their "second level" to activate the card by the next day 5PM eastern standard time. I am sharing my experience so that others may make a more informed decision when buying from giftcardmall.com.

STILL NO CARD AFTER 10 DAYS! HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE WITH THIS COMPANY. I CALLED, AND NOW IT TAKES 5-10 DAYS FOR THE REIMBURSEMENT.
They are a scam who will hold funds they take from you for up to 3 months, free of any interest.
1st the card is declined everywhere, couldn't find one place that would except it. 2nd trying to use Web site to register, check balance, dispute transaction never works every time input info it comes back with message saying sites experiencing technical difficulties & to try later. 3rd after days of trying to dispute transaction spoke with person & the info needed to do is 100% impossible to provide them. Used card at gas station but not for gas, for the store inside gas station. Card was declined after trying 3x but merchant charged me anyway without me knowing after I paid cash due to card declined. Card company wants proof I tried calling merchant (how other then to send cell bill?) Next I need the person name at register at time of purchase which the store said didn't know who did register cause multiple people working & could've been any of them. Next I need to provide receipt from when it happened which is not possible, I swiped card 3x & got declined & wound up paying cash. Who the hell gets receipt from swiping card & gets declined, NO MERCHANTS give you a "card was declined receipt". 4 other things needed they require in order to dispute a transaction were your money was basically stolen from you they know FULL WELL ISN'T POSSIBLE TO PROVIDE.
*Company's an ABSOLUTE SCAM & should legally not be able to sell anything in relation to gift cards or anything that has to deal with finance, web site claims if this kind of stuff happens they can help with issues, of course they advertise that prier to purchasing card

First sign that this website was a scam - their catalog is extremely convoluted and unorganized. They lump ecards in with normal cards and god help you if you didn't notice the tiny "e" in the listing which is the ONLY thing differentiating one from the other, because you get an email that you can't physically hand to your friend or family member. And it gets sent to YOUR email and not theirs so they have no way of accessing it.
But far worse than their gross incompetence is their clearly criminal business practice of ignoring every attempt you make contact them until after they "ship" your order. (Well, they were emails so nothing was shipped. Derp.) Because if you don't submit a request before they "ship" your email (DERP) they conveniently have an "all sales final" policy that you don't even get to know about until you actually need to fix THEIR mistakes. Again, it's an email, they shipped NOTHING but they used that as an excuse to steal my money.
I'm serious folks, these people are absolute crooks, don't give them the chance to get their hands on your hard earned cash. Buy your gift cards from brick and mortar places. I've since learned that online gift card sales are criminal in general but this site is just so blatant about it something needs to be done.

I called their after they charged my credit, they said the order need to be reviewed, but never send me the LOWES gift card.
I went on the back of my card to register it, then immediately went to purchase a game online. It was immediately declined saying insufficient funds. Thinking it was just because it was online I went to go use it a week later at a store. Declined again. I called the number on the back of the card it ran me in circles, I went to the website, after much searching I found a different number. They were able to see that my card was used 2xs. 1x on PayPal and another for 1$ in San Francisco. Mind you I am across the country so that was 109% not me. They gave me a case number a ref number and said I would receive a dispute email in 5-6hrs. Well I immediately recieved an email. He said that's just a confirmation email with mu case number. But the other one should be 5-6hrs (why that long I have no idea) so 12 hrs later no email. I went to correspond with the email he sent me and it was returned saying "that email is full" and it was just an odd recipient on the demon return. This card was supposed to be a VISA but upon looking on the back it was from giftcardmall.com. THIS WHOLE COMPANY IS FRAUDULENT DO NOT BUY FROM THEM. They have a whole system set up to steal your money. I AM NOT ADDING PIC FOR PROOF, WHY SO THEY CAN STEAL MORE OF MY INFO
I just spent multiple emails dealing with a scam with this company. I ended up contacting my state's Attorney General (highly recommend you do this to get any resolution to your claim as they carry enough weight to make them do the right thing). I bought $200 gift card to TJMaxx for a Christmas present this past year (2020). When my daughter went to redeem it at the local store, they said it had already been used although the PIN had not been scratched off yet. Since I have a friend who is the CEO of another gift card company, I contacted him to verify how things worked in this business. He said that card numbers + PINS are kept in a data base and there is the very likelihood that someone hacked their system and redeemed them (most probably online since all they had were digits, not the physical card). Giftcardmall.com is just a card-fulfilling website owned by BLACKHAWK NETWORK. This is the company you need to contact to get a resolution. Michael Day, Legal General Counsel, begrudgingly agreed to refund my money in communication with my state's AG's office. The nimwhits at GCM.com were still sending back "sorry, final sale, kiss off" emails. BOTTOMLINE: there is some sort of internal fraud going on there that no one seems to care about until you get someone bigger and badder than them involved. They will try to wear you down with their "deny the claim" messages. Google your state's attorney general to find the contact info to email them. I guarantee that they will help you. PS: Blackhawk is owned by the Private Equity firm, Silver Lake. PE firms HATE bad PR. I would call their NY office to voice your concerns. Google to find their office phone number, this site won't allow the phone number to post.
