I receive a gift card for appreciation. I try to register it and it said error. Then I call it gave me the total amount. As soon I try to use it declined. Call customer service was a waste of time. Never received it back. They keep trying for me to give them my address and other unnecessary information. When I keep telling them it was a gift.
To a close family friend who is a congressman and to my uncle who is a federal judge. They stole from me. This is a predatory company and needs to be shut down. I suggest that everyone who has this experience report it to their congressperson. They can shut it down. There can also be a class action lawsuit. They make multiple million of dollars in lost funds every year. It is crap

I purchased a Visa gift card which was received but the activation code mailed separately has never come. Sent ( 3) emails and phoned twice customer service who never get back to you. This company has absolute contempt for their customers. Nightmares begin at giftcardmall.com and don't end. The card cannot be used and the company refuses to help. Don't shop here.
A month ago I ordered a gift card. I've never received a "shipped" confirmation, much less tracking. If I call, all I can do is cancel the order via computer; I can't actually talk to anyone. No one has answered my email. I should never have gotten involved with this. Scam.
I had a really sweet family give me 100 dollars for tutoring their child during the pandemic. The day I activated it, someone (Scammer) made a $99.95 charge online leaving me 5 cents. Please do not waste your money. It is so disappointing.
Received a gift card that didn't work. Tried calling customer service immediately but it's nearly impossible to get a human being. When I finally did, he told me the numbers on my brand new card were not valid numbers. I repeated them to him, but he said there was nothing he could do to help me and that I should try the automated telephone system! After five or six phone calls, nothing was resolved!

They charged my credit card three weeks ago, yet I have not received my merchandise. On their website, my order is listed as "processing". I emailed them - no response - so I called today. They cancelled my order (never notifying me), & gave no reason. They are now investigating why my credit card was charged. A supervisor was unavailable, but is suppose to return my call. Needless to say, I contacted my credit card to dispute the charge.
What word comes to mind - FRAUD!

Ordered a electronic gift card and scheduled it to be emailed on Valentines day. Email never arrived and I received the following email on 2/15 (I have high 700 credit rating so no clue how they determined the following):
The order placed through Giftcardmall.com, has been cancelled. Unfortunately the order was not approved by our security screening process, and as a result, the gift card will not be shipped. No funds were collected from your credit or debit card for this order.
Don't use this service as you will be embarrassed for lack of gift arriving for occasion.
Beware. A simple $25 gift card, and I can't get the full $25.00. They are keeping 20%. Said it was a "Visa Requirement" that they can only process a gift card up to 80% of it's face value. The agreement says nothing about this. If you lookup the card info on their Web site, it confirms that they are holding 20% and it's "Locked" and even after several calls and many days of waiting, that 20% is still locked. What a scam. They have to be making lots of money if they scam every customer out of 20%.
I received a gift card for $500 but when i checked the balance there was a transaction $498 charged by Walmart which I did not authorize. I called Customer Service they told me to fill out a dispute form and it would take 90 days for them to review.
I was given gift card but could never get online to process the card number or check balance, keep getting error, 10 times, it is an error alright. I am now contacting the US Attorney General's office!
This is the worse company ever! I purchased over $400 gift card. First they delivered them late. Second, I never received the activation code. I had to call them and be on the line for half an hour. Now they want to activate them but it will take them couple of days. What a rip of! I don't recommend this company at all. I am very embarrassed in front of my friends and family.
Their website is terrible. It is impossible to speak with a person. Everything is electronic. I purchased items using a gift card and then had to return them. The vendor issued the returns (twice) and the amounts still are back on the card. Looks like a total loss at this point.
Seconds after purchasing a gift card online, I called customer service to receive a refund because the brand of card I purchased is not excepted in my sons town. Three days later I received an email from an entity called Blackhawk which told me that my case has been resolved and that a refund would not be issued because all sales are final. What reputable company does not issue a refund to a customer before product has even been shipped? This is not good business practice
I've received two cards (as Gifts) for $100 each (on different occasions), and each time the card didn't work. I tried them at a variety of different vendors to see if that was the issue, and I checked the balance online to verify of the card had a proper balance—which it did. Nevertheless, I had no success using these cards. I finally was able to contact someone at Giftcardmall, only to find out that it had been used by someone else, who had zeroed out the balance. This country is in serious trouble, because too many of the businesses are just fleecing its customers, and it's getting considerably worse each day. Hell, is this company even located in the United States?
The website is useless. It says I've created an account when I never did. Would not take the last 4 digits of my phone number to register the gift card then locked me out. Worst website ever! Do not buy a gift card that is managed by giftcardmall.com.
Purchased a gift card for my wife. Received an email confirming my order but never received an actual gift card. I've been dealing with their "customer service" for a month now and have yet to receive my refund. Each time I speak to them they give me different information. Please do yourself a favor and stay far away from these crooks. They don't deserve the one star I had to give them.
I Purchased a $50 gift card for myself. I tried using it at online for 35 bucks three times and it was declined went to another site and used $15 it was accepted. Next day I called for assistance and found out my balance was 0 I should have had 35 bucks left. Unfortunately you can't get a human being online or by phone never again would I purchase this type of card.
Found this website when I sent a Kroger gift card to a friend and was going to send her a couple of other cards. Purchased in July, recipient never received. Contacted them again at the end of August, said they would cancel the cards and send new ones. Been 22 days and cards still haven't been received. They are telling me I will receive a refund, but we will see.

DO NOT purchase from gift card mall. They are a scam company. They take your money and deliver worthless goods. I purchased a $100 gift card to give as a birthday gift. Received a worthless card with a ZERO balance! Contacted my bank who investigated and said since I received the card, I received benefit since they cannot tell the balance on the card. I contacted gift card mall who goes by different names and they gave me the run around. Customer service was useless and talks in circles. Sounded like they are reading off a card so they must be used to complaints. Bottom line I'm out $100 and had to buy another birthday gift to give.

The only time i entered the gift card number was to check the balance on their website on a secure browser. Less than a few hours later the card was emptied, ( someone purchased Google Play stuff) $50 x 4. A $200 gift card I purchased, just gone. And all I did was check the balance. Yes I verified their web address. Sounds fishy doesnt it!? Sounds like a company just cleaning people out. Will never use this company again. Vanilla brand gift cards, on the other hand, never had an issue with them ( use thousands of $ worth a year),

Seems to be several other reviews involving giftcardmall and Safeway! I tried to send my son a Safeway e gift card. My credit card was charged and I received an email receipt explaining that I would get another email confirmation when the e card is sent. Never received anything else. 3 days later I called giftcardmall was told that I should have received an email requesting me to call their "loss prevention " department. The representative did the "security check " with me, basically asking for all the information I gave them when placing the order. Finally toward the end of the call I asked if the e gift card would be emailed today (3 days after initially placing the order) and was told it could take up to 4 days from today! Are you kidding me?! What's the point of an e gift card if the postal service can deliver it faster! I told the rep to cancel my order and that's that! I just dropped a check in the mail, my son will have it in 2 days! Forget gift cards, too much hassle!
I ordered a gift card for a friend that lives in another state. Received the confirmation email and three hours later received a cancellation email. Money was never taken out of my account but when I called, no one could tell me why the transaction was cancelled. The kicker is, even in the cancellation email it stated that the transaction had been approved.

I ordered a Visa gift card for my mother-in-law on 12/20/2010. I called her on 12/31 and she still has not received the card. I call the customer service number for the gift card and they say it should be there by 1/4/2011. I am to call them if she doesn't have it and they will send another one out. What a piece of crap! In addition, the activation code is suppose to be sent to me. I don't have it yet so that is another issue. If it doesn't show up, I'm calling my credit card company and disputing the charges.
