“Gift card mall scam”

I receive a gift card for appreciation. I try to register it and it said error. Then I call it gave me the total amount. As soon I try to use it declined. Call customer service was a waste of time. Never received it back. They keep trying for me to give them my address and other unnecessary information. When I keep telling them it was a gift.

To a close family friend who is a congressman and to my uncle who is a federal judge. They stole from me. This is a predatory company and needs to be shut down. I suggest that everyone who has this experience report it to their congressperson. They can shut it down. There can also be a class action lawsuit. They make multiple million of dollars in lost funds every year. It is crap

I have two dozen gift cards and they are all be declinned. I looked them up online and they show there is available amounts but there is absolutely NO WAY to reach a human being for help. Its just a voice mail loop that does nothing.

This is the worst company I've ever dealt with and I will never buy another gift card from them again. I've also shared my experience with all of my friends and family and have asked them to spread the word.

I was trying to send my sons egift cards for, Safeway, a grocery store. Was told it takes a couple of hours to send. Days went by and no one called me back. They finally received the emails and they do not work. I still have not heard from them and apparently they do not have any supervisors. Just disputed the charges with my credit card company because of course they charged my account instantly.

Wish I also had read the reviews. I assumed since the Safeway sight sent me directly to them they were reputable. Learned my lesson!

I have already tried placing an order for several gift cards and they always get cancelled. The first one got through and I even verified all my details when a rep called me for verification review. After that, all other orders get canceled for no reason even when I call the customer support they can't even tell me why it was canceled, their only solutions were to use a different browser, use a different card, clear caches & cookies, etc. I did all of it but nothing ever works. All orders get canceled and sometimes I can't even get past through placing an order saying there was an error with my card issuer and all other excuses.

I've made two transactions from a $100.00 gift card. Had $77.18 left went to make a purchase only to find out no money was left on my card. I've disputed the transactions and they told me they weren't able to compensate me and I'll have to wait 36-90 days before getting a refund. They sent me a list of forms to fill out, I've filled out the forms and sent it back via email and they lied and told me they've never received the forms so my case is closed. Never got my $77.18. Beware of them they're thieves. Those same employees are the ones stealing people's money from the gift card. If I could give no stars I would.

I would never recommend this company to anyone! They cancelled our sale and rejected our purchase for absolutely no reason and then when I questioned them, they said the company does not disclose such information! They have utterly the worst customer service ever!

I bought a gift card, was told that it was invalid when I tried to use it, have spent hours with no response from them.
My credit card company told memthat they send in enough info to satisfy federal guidelines and so they were unable to issue a refund.
Hard to imagine how these employees sleep at night!

I ordered two gift cards at the end of April for my nephews' birthdays and told my brother to let me know if they didn't get them. I remembered to ask him a month later and they never received them. I contacted the company and got a wordy response that didn't tell me anything other than my order couldn't process. If it couldn't be processed, why was the money taken out of my account and held for a month. I still haven't gotten my money back and now I have to send my nephews a very belated birthday gift. I should've been notified immediately and my money returned if there was a problem. This company should be ashamed of their customer service!

I ordered a visa card for my daughters birthday only to receive a cancellation notice 2 days later. I called to ask why it was cancelled and they would not tell me why. I have since purchased a visa card at Walmart and mailed it to my daughter using the same credit card I attempted to use online. The notice came on a Friday so the birthday gift will be late. Thanks.

I purchased one of their retail cards for $500. All of the money except just under $5 of it was gone before I even "activated" the card.

Turns out someone 2 cities away purchasing using my card before I could even get home to activate my card.

Their customer service requested some information on a dispute form. Their service rep then said they had everything they needed and I could expect a new card in 45-60 days. 3 Months later I call and they tell me since it's past the 30 day dispute period they cannot do anything for me, even though they acknowledge they received my form before the 30 day period, they say the case is closed and cannot be re-opened.

These people sold me an already stolen card, they are crooks. They have no way to protect their customers from thiefs and if your card does get stolen they will dispute the transaction and keep the money for themselves!

I purchased a gift card from giftcard mall... and then you find out about all the restrictions... no internet purchases, no gas purchases, no purchases if the web site is out of the US, no restaurant purchase... STAY away, there are so many other VISA gift cards that are less restrictive. This site is a scam... they get you to buy the card, and then limit its purchase ability, which means that they are probably pocketing what goes un-used...>BUYER BEWARE

I wish I had checked here before buying. I ordered a gift card for Michaels. It never arrived. They promised to resend. Never did. Then they gave me a reference number for the reprint/ refund. Still nothing.
Run around x *******. This is a dishonest company. Stay away.

Mark my words... you will regret it! One order goes through fine and the next is cancelled for no reason. When you call them, they can't provide you a reason. I even received one, printed it out and took it to the store only to find out it had been cancelled. They try to say it is security reasons or something is wrong with your credit card, but it is THEIR system. It only brings frustration. Stay away and choose alternatives.

Bought a card in July 2020. Gave it as a gift. Person I gave it to tried to use it in September. Didn't work. Tried the website doesn't match records. Press 1 for customer rep - hangs up on me. Sent mail inquiry never got a response. Went back to store purchased card from computer printout received of activation when card purchased. Sent that to mygiftcardmall - still no response.
$100 wasted.

Bought 5 - $100 gift cards for safe way and paid $25 for overnight shipping. A week later the cards haven't been sent from their facility nor will they cancel my order. Ordered the card to give out for Thankgiving and they will not even be here in time even though I placed the order 8 days ago.

I ordered as a gift and they never received it. Customer service chat is closed even though it states they're open. Customer service phone is just automated. I will not order again and suggest others to avoid this site

This is the worst company I have ever dealt with. The address I provided was correct, yet the mailman failed to deliver the package for unknown reasons. Come to find out, its being sent back to the company and I will receive a refund which could take 15 days. I then have to RE ORDER the cards which was a massive headache in the first place due to the large cost. Im now waiting for my refund and will be taking my business elsewhere once that occurs. What a disaster.

Was given gift card as a gift. $25. I activated it. After that I tried to use it the very next day and was declined. Called customer service. They were acting very funny. I explained to them it has never even used and just took it out of packaging. Customer service told me it used for PayPal. I asked them how is that even possible. Anyways they emailed all these dispute forms. I didn't want to give them my personal information. They seemed very sneaky and untrustworthy. So they closed the dispute and there's been no resolution. Don't trust them! They need to be shutdown! Not fair.

I wrote a review yesterday and they emailed me asking for the order number or else they would remove my review. I don't have an order number the card was a gift to me. Website only works if you want to buy a card not to dispute a transaction and no one to talk to. I see all these bad review, wish my friend would have known before purchasing the card as a gift for me..

The company kept cancelling my order, saying it was my credit card company. Two cc companies said the orders went through. Giftcardmall said there's nothing they can do. When I tried to discuss other possibilities, they hung up on me.

I finally got an order through. They cancelled the order and told me I can never order from their site EVER.

I have only used this website service 2 times and BOTH times they double charged me for the gift card and then never issued the card forcing me to spend days and days on the phone with my bank and the company to get my money refunded. I would rather have a root canal than do business with them ever again!

I ordered two $50.00 VISA gift cards for my kids and everything went according to plan. I even personalized the gift cards with their names and had them each sent to different addresses. They got the cards on time in the mail and bought cute new school clothes for my grand babies! I was very pleased with customer service when I called in to ensure the cards were shipped on time as well. I spoke to a very sweet young lady and am definitely going to use giftcardmall.com again. I wanted to share this mostly because all of the reviews I read for the site were awful and I was very nervous about using it, but there were absolutely no probelems.

I ordered a $50 card for some friends who just had a baby, and the order said it was processed. An hour later, I got an email saying it was cancelled. I called my bank, they verified a few transactions, and said I shouldn't have any problems. So I ordered the same gift card, but paid with a different credit card. Exactly 20 minutes later, I got another cancellation notice. Then I received an email from "Gerson A" with "GiftCardMall Risk Management" saying my transactions were cancelled due to security concerns.
Such a hassle, unprofessional, and inconvenient.

Received $25 gift card for gift and tried using it at Walmart only for it to ask for a pin. I didn't have a pin so I called the automated system and chose change pin which doesn't ask you for an existing pin. I set the pin, tried using it a week later with pin and said declined. I called the number again and it still shows a balance but says to go to website to register card. I go to website, put the card info in there and hit submit only for the website to say page can't be displayed. $25 down the drain for my friend who bought it and me.

I ordered an iTunes giftcard through Amazon.com, which used giftcardmall.com to order it. I placed the order on Dec. 6,2010, and it was estimated to be received by Dec. 16,2010. It is now Jan. 1,2011 and it has not been received. Giftcardmall.com doesn't provide shipping info online so there's no way to track it.

I am still waiting in the phone for customer service to answer their phone. I am going to report them to the better business bureau. They said to me there was a problem with the processing so they approve it first and then cancel it. There person was reading from a script of some sort. Do not order any cards from them. They do not answer emails either.
