“Gift card mall scam”

I receive a gift card for appreciation. I try to register it and it said error. Then I call it gave me the total amount. As soon I try to use it declined. Call customer service was a waste of time. Never received it back. They keep trying for me to give them my address and other unnecessary information. When I keep telling them it was a gift.

To a close family friend who is a congressman and to my uncle who is a federal judge. They stole from me. This is a predatory company and needs to be shut down. I suggest that everyone who has this experience report it to their congressperson. They can shut it down. There can also be a class action lawsuit. They make multiple million of dollars in lost funds every year. It is crap

If at any point a seller / merchant issues you a refund, you will lose money outright. This service doesn't handle returning funds to cards well (arguably at all).

You can dispute a transaction, but the process is convoluted, time consuming, and, in the end, pointless since you're not guaranteed any return of funds.

If you get one of these cards as a gift, try your best to get the money off the card quickly by pulling out cash at checkout or by transferring balances using PayPal or Venmo.

Alternatively, if you have the option as to whether or not you get of these cards in the first place...

WARNING! DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS COMPANY! Wish I read the reviews first! If I had the option, I would not give them any starts but of course, we cannot do that!

I ordered a gift card for my daughter. Immediately when I placed the order, I received a fraud alert from my bank via text, email and a phone call. When I asked the bank rep. What the fraud was about he simply asked if I made the purchase. I said yes and he authorized the transaction. Needless to say, I never received the gift card. When I called, they stated they do not have tracking numbers and couldn't tell me where the card was. They said they could refund my money and said it would take up to 30 days. Forget that... I contacted my bank immediately and they are launching a fraud investigation!

Received at $50 gift card for Christmas and tried to use it in March and it wouldn't go through. Finally registered it on 5/5/22 because on the back it needed to be registered. Today I tried to use 8/8/22.
Would not go through at the store so came home and called the number in the card. No money left in the card. Charges were made on 5/5/22 for clothing(Dimensionalen.com and Google play. Could not report a fraud because it was over 60 days since the purchase was posted in that card. I wish I knew where to report this credit card company named Blackhawk. Cheating many people out of money. Beware of that name on a credit card and do not register it until you are ready to use it within minutes or it will be gone.

I needed to buy a gift card fast, so I thought this was the perfect website to do this. I wish that I had read reviews to how awful this website really is. I didn't want to make an account, so i checked out as a guest. It then told me that the e-delivery would take more than a day to send. So i decided to make an account using the same email. It was working perfectly until i logged out, and wanted to log back in. It didn't work, and I know I wasn't putting my password wrong because I had logged in before. I couldn't hit forget password, because it said an error has occurred. I even made a new account using the same Email i used to order my things. I called the number and they couldn't help me at all. So i just cancelled the order all together. They suck.

DO NOT BUY FROM GIFTCARDMALL UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. I received a $100 gift card from my daughter for my birthday. The packaging was completely intact, but when I opened the package the last 6 digits had been scratched off completely, the hidden security code had been scratched off then re-covered with solder, and the magnetic strip was also scratched through to ensure the card was unusable. I called their customer service and they claim they'll be sending a replacement card in 7-10 business days. Time will tell. Regardless, they have very serious security issues because apparently this is "normal" for them. Unbelievable lack of security and quality control. Buy a VISA gift card from your local bank, not giftcardmall.

I paid $200 for a Safeway/Vons grocery gift card. Got an email with my order #, called GCM to ask if that was all I needed, expecting a bar code or QR code to scan at the store at checout. In spite of a customer service rep who continually claimed he could not hear me "bad connection", he finally told me that was all I needed. Went to store first time, they said they knew nothing, asked my why no bar code, said I needed to come back and talk to a manager. I did. The store manager she had no idea what it was, so we called GCM together. Again rep could not hear us "bad connection" and finally hung up on us, although we could hear her fine. I rechecked my email searching for GCM... a new email with a barcode! Have not gone back to the store for the THIRD TIME yet.

I purchased a gift card and paid extra $13 for two day delivery on Dec 18. Today December 26 party has not received their card and giftcard mall says it's at UPS getting a label on it, and that could take up to 5 days, they have no control of it now. I paid extra for rush delivery so they could put it in someone's hand and not be able to track it? UNACCEPTABLE. My advice, buy your own gift card and walk it to the post office and pay LESS than $13 for two day delivery. I will NEVER will use them again.

Thinking I had a found an easy way to order personalized visa gift cards for neices and nephews for Christmas this year - boy was I wrong! They mailed the wrong cards to the wrong people, customer service - useless! I had to pay to have the cards shipped back to the right locations (thanks to my family members taking them to FedEx for me) they were still late do to the companies inabilities to follow the shipping instructions provided for the cards. Seriously, four cards, two addresses? One of the cards got to the correct location - the rest had to be resent on my dime. Oh, customer service - seriously it took them 4 weeks to even get back to me - four week? Horrible - buyer beware, do not buy!

I placed an order on 10/24 and on 10/25 the order status said processed. When the status didn't change to shipped by 11/8, I called and told that it was on the way and to call back if I didn't receive it by 11/18. I called today, 11/14 because the status still did not say shipped. I was told that there was a glitch in the system and that the orders were shipping today. I received an email this afternoon saying that due to a system problem my order wasn't processed; but was cancelled. It also said I could place a reorder. I called and asked why they couldn't process it and I was told that I had to reorder and that my refund would be processed in 3-6 days. Don't waste you time; and don't tie up your money! In my case it was $547!

I order an eGift card for my sister's birthday in Jan. The company sent me an email with an imagine of fake gift card for Emagine Theaters. It is now March I called, my sister called and emailed the company multiple times they said they would refund my money. Haven't received a refund or an eGift card. They are a scam. I reported them to the Better Business Bureau and Emagine Theaters.

Went to the website to register a card to use it for internet purchases.
Kept getting a "403 Forbidden" message.
Did some research, which explained that this can happen when using a VPN.
So I disabled my VPN and was able to register the card.
It stinks that I'm required by this company to send personal data over wifi without the safety of a VPN in order to register the card.
VISA distribured and serviced by Blackhawk network, issued by Metabank.

Purchased a Target egiftcard at 8:24 am, received confirmation at 8:24 am andat 9:29 am I received an email that my order has been cancelled. I called customer service and they had no explanation why it was cancelled... yes, my card was already charged at this point!

I bought a giftcard with a tracking number. The giftcard was delivered and The tracking number came after the giftcard was delivered. If I had read the reviews I had never bought a giftcard from this website. I called thrm to refund the money for the tracking, and the told " it may take up to 10 days to be reviewed and it is NOT garanteed that the money would be returned." They are not serious.

I bought 4x$25 dollar cards as I couldn't find the $100 card on the display at my local store. I found them the following week and asked if I could exchange due to the (in light print and not noticible) fee of 3.95 per card which I didnt notice at the time. Store said I could go onto giftcardmall.com and they would be happy to refund. Nope, they are not at all happy to refund, in fact it keeps saying my numbers are invalid and I cant even get anyone on the phone. Will never use them again!

This business is a complete scam. I've now had 2 cards that one was supposedly used by someone else and the other was mysteriously replaced. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR ADDRESS ETC WHEN YOU CALL THEM. They are ripping people off and need a class action lawsuit brought against them. These reviews speak for themselves

I purchased one of their giftcards at a major grocery store, activated it that night. I went to uae it the next day and the balance was zero. Icalled themand went online and did a chat and they said they couldn't help me. Scammers are waiting for you to buy and rhen you're $#*! our of luck. I am attaching a photo of the company that took thw money. I called the number and it's busy anytime of the day.

As advertised, the VISA gift card NEVER worked. Contacted the one of the useless customer services. The card only works in 80 stores. I am not sure why US govt. Allows this kind of web site to do business allowing to cheat on customers. NEVER BUY GIFT CARDS FROM THIS Website.

I ordered a home depot card via staples to be fulfilled by Gift Card Mall. They never sent the card and makes you run around trying to figure out what happened. Avoid at all cost. Not worth it.

They keep canceling my orders.

I placed an order for a $100 gift card and they canceled after a day saying my billing address did not match shipping address!
Then I placed another order and they canceled it after a day saying my credit card did not go through. There was however a charge for the amount and when I called they said it will be refunded.
Just for giggles I placed the same order again. This time they canceled saying the 3rd party company that verifies the order did not give any reason this time. It simply says canceled. Of course there is another charge on the credit card they say will be refunded.

I am wondering if I should try again and see how far it goes...

This website is an absolute fraud, you will not get your gift card and they will say they are issuing you a refund but never do. Stay away I hope Google pulls them down.

I have used them two times and both times they cancel your order making the gift card you want to arrive on time late. I recommend using any other source of gift cards.

Save your time and money and just buy from somewhere else. Customer service just bounces you around saying they are the wrong department. Absolute scam. Stay away!

Had a similar experience as many others. Ordered cards and never heard anything after the confirmation email. Wanted these for Christmas, but got word that the order was "cancelled" on Christmas Eve day! I had sent an email earlier that day to see what had happened to the cards. Anyway, later got an email that order was cancelled because I DID NOT ANSWER AN EMAIL SENT ON 12/14 - the only email I got was a confirmation email. Nothing else, and when I had gone to the website a few days after that, It said approved by each card I had ordered. Never got them! And I will never do business with this "company" again.

I have a VISA gift card that was valid until 2/24 with a $30.00 balance. Card showed balance of 0 and was told by Cardholder Services that the money was escheated to State. Cardholder Services was not able to provide any information even as to which State it was escheated too. Can't find my money at any state escheat division. I will not recommend buiying this card.

My husband and I each received a gift card as Christmas presents (Dec. 2017). Seal intact until we were ready to use them, then realized they had NO BALANCE, both card had been cashed-out in Socal (We live in Northern Cal). We reported the cards and we were told it could take as long as 3 months for the INVESTIGATION. We are now going into the 4th month and still have not received anything. Every time I call to get a status, I get a scripted answer by all employees. I have asked to speak to managers and I get the same scripted answers. They cannot tell you where the investigation is at... If I am the customers, why do I have to wait for the investigation?
They knowingly sell the gift cards without a balance and make you believe that they are stolen. DO NOT BUY CARDS FROM GIFTCARD MALL. THEY ARE FRAUD-INSIDE JOB.
I am really angry because we have been ripped off. Each gift card had a value of $500.00. Every time I call, they add to my anger.
