I receive a gift card for appreciation. I try to register it and it said error. Then I call it gave me the total amount. As soon I try to use it declined. Call customer service was a waste of time. Never received it back. They keep trying for me to give them my address and other unnecessary information. When I keep telling them it was a gift.
To a close family friend who is a congressman and to my uncle who is a federal judge. They stole from me. This is a predatory company and needs to be shut down. I suggest that everyone who has this experience report it to their congressperson. They can shut it down. There can also be a class action lawsuit. They make multiple million of dollars in lost funds every year. It is crap
I bought two Legoland gift cards on April 15th, as a birthday gift. I received a confirmation e-mail stating that the ship date was the 20th of April. I called April 26th to see why it still hasn't arrived, and that's when the representative stated that the order was cancelled. I never received an e-mail stating such cancellation took place, and furthermore they had not credited my credit card if this were true. They said "sorry", but sorry just doesn't sit well with me when I have to tell my friend "sorry, Gift Card Mall is sorry they screwed up your order and now you have no birthday gift". Now I am worried that they won't refund the money, I will have to reverse charges with my credit card company, hopefully I can get my money back that way. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE, if they were truly "sorry" then they should offer to overnight the gift cards and at least refund some money back for the stress and hassle, DO NOT BUY FROM THIS CROOKED COMPANY!
Tried to dispute a transaction through the merchant. Was unable to. Could not access the website dispute form, website said to call if there were problems with the dispute. Called, just got told they'd email the dispute form, told them three times that I had the form emailed to me, got told this was the only way. I explained again, they asked me to use my phone. I do not have a personal cellphone, they called their supervisor, got to them in less than a minute just to tell me again that the online forum that I could not access was the only way. I told them my computer would not load it, they had the audacity to tell me to go out of my house and to a library to fill it out on a computer there. So you are saying your site says to call if you have issues, and then you are just gonna tell the person to go to a public place, put in private information, to fill out a your forum that does not work? I got put on hold for several minutes, then they got back to me and told me they would have to keep me on hold for longer to get me to a supervisor. When they got to one in less than a minute. I just gave up. Never gonna get that money back, they should remove the tooltip telling you to call if you have issues, if all they are gonna to is try to shove the thing you have issues with down your throat. Unhelpful, uncaring services... I hope to never get a card from them again.
After attempting to make a purchase of an egift card from the Kroger website I received a call saying that this company needed additional information. I couldn't understand the phone number. I called the main company and immediately canceled the order because the way it was being handled seemed highly unprofessional and smelled of a scam. They had already placed a pre-authorization on my bank account. When I told them I wanted the pre-authorization removed I was told that they couldn't do that and I'd have to call my bank. This was a lie. After speaking with my bank they told me GiftCardMall could have done what I requested. Of course "Cole" give me the old "a supervisor is not available". He also continued to use my first name despite the fact that I told him that he should not use my first name. I've already sent an email to the grocery that is linking to this site, and will not be making a purchase as the whole experience left a bad taste. I cannot recommend them. Someone else got to use my birthday money! There's no way to communicate with a person, so once it's gone, you're stuck.

Just bought a gift card for $50, and my money was stolen and used elsewhere. Do not use this company!
Got the card as payment for moving some furniture with $200 on it. Went to the website and registered it so that I could have some items shipped to me. Nearly wiped it out short of $11.13. Checked on it 2 days later and a car company in Georgia had managed to get that last $11.13. Filed a dispute, which is a real pain. Had to return one of the items I purchased and the purchase was refunded to this card, which is now deactivated. Roughly $50 total lost on the card. Contacted "customer service" and was informed they requested a refund for the fraudulent charges and I will have to wait up to 90 days for a response. If the fraudulent company does not willingly offer a refund then I'm out that amount. Supposedly they will issue a replacement card for the amount I had refunded from the vender I purchased from but I suspect they are banking on me forgetting that a gift card company owes me money. I have seen several other complaints about the Georgia car company, probably related to the Blackhawk Network that supplies the cards. They know the company will never refund the scammed amount and are probably feeding them information how how much to charge to which card number

Stay away from this company. I think they are a fraud. I ordered a visa gift card in August. It never showed up. When I called they said it takes 10-15 business days in the mail. They kept saying wait one more day. I asked if they could overnight a new card since it never came and they said no they could only send it the original shipping method. I finally cancelled the card and they said they would refund the amount plus $25 for my aggravation. A week later they called and said they couldn't refund my credit card because the amount was more then what was charged and would send a check. This week I called because I haven't received the check. Once again they said it was mailed September 25th and would take 10-15 days in the mail. It did not arrive. They then said they will contact the accounting department and have a new check sent but according to the supervisor the accounting department has yet to respond. They said they can request it be sent again with a tracking number but cannot promise that it will happen. So the saga continues. The business should be shut down.

My sister gave me a Visa gift card in the amount of $100 a couple of weeks ago. I went to use it yesterday only to find that it had a zero balance and it was already used at a Winn Dixi supermarket. Getting through to gift card mall was almost impossible. The number on the back of the card did not have an option to speak to a rep. I finally got a live person after calling gift card mall.com and they said that they couldn't help me since the gift card was purchased at a store. I was finally transferred to someone who directed me to a dispute form online and was told to fill it out and that I wouldn't hear anything back until 7 to 10 business days. I didn't even get a auto email confirming that they had received my form and they would get back with me shortly. I was also told that it would take about 90 days to get resolution. I do not recommend buying a Visa gift card as you are running the risk of fraud and throwing your money away. I will never buy a Visa gift card again. I am not very hopeful of seeing my $100 ever again.

I tried to purchase an egift card through gift card mall. I am used to the egift cards arriving within the half hour, unless I post date it. This site did not offer post dating, so when I placed the order, I expected it the same day as the site didn't seem to specify when the card would arrive. After awaking the next morning and the card was not received, I became concerned and called the company. The company advised that it could take 12 to 24 hours to receive. Fine, I didn't mind waiting. It just would have been helpful to know before I placed the order. Low and behold, 24 hours came and went, and the card was not received. In calling the company. The order was "cancelled as they were unable to verify the account to protect from fraud." Although it seems reputable to protect against these situations, in order to verify the account (according to the representative) they would have had to call or send an email. There was no email. There was no phone call. To top it off, there was also no notification to state that the ecard order was cancelled. Horrible way to do business, and with that alone, I would never do business with them again. After reading the reviews of how these cards work, I guess I could consider myself one of the lucky ones.
I recently purchased a gift card through www.giftcardmall.com for a friend of mine. Currently I am using the term "purchased" loosely... technically, as it stands I just gave them money for nothing other then a headache. I bought the card on 10/19, and it supposedly shipped the same day via USPS first class. They claim a potential shipping window of 7-15 days (which already seems a bit excessive). That is clearly posted on their website, though I will admit I assumed it was a "worst case" scenario... I suppose that was my fault for assuming. So we'll move on from that... but, if we start counting from the 20th then it's now been over 21 days since it was ordered, and there have been 18 days that the card could have arrived (because USPS doesn't deliver on Sundays)... if you want to count only business days (Mon-Fri) we're now at 16. I contacted them several times to inquire about the status of the order, and each time I just get a reply quoting the "7-15 day shipping time frame." I haven't asked for anything for free, but simply that they refund the amount I paid, and cancel the gift card (assuming it either never shipped or got lost in the mail). I was just told again that I needed to wait a couple extra days, beyond the shipping time frame, to see if it arrives. It is now approaching a month since I ordered it. I just wanted to send a giftcard as a nice gesture to thank a friend for some recent help... I incorrectly assumed that ordering it online, through this vendor, would be a convenient and quick way to send this gift... lesson learned. I truly hope this is a fluke, and isn't a common experience for other customers, but their response so far makes me wonder. In each of my last few interactions with this company's customer service I requested either a refund, or to be put in contact with a manager who could help me. Realizing that perhaps this was just and accident, I also specifically mentioned that I would prefer to avoid publicly posting about my negative experience, and I'd rather resolve it with them directly. I got the same "bottled" responses, and no real help. They didn't seem to care or have any concern for me, so why should I care if a negative post hurts them? Maybe it will even help someone else...

I received a gift card via email through this site and it has been nothing but a hassle. First, the site itself is a bit clunky and difficult to use. However, that is not really the biggest problem. The biggest problem is that when I finally figured out how to use the site and bought a gift certificate they cancelled my order. I called them 5+ times making the same complaint. The customer service people, while quite friendly, would tell me the same thing: They are so sorry and they have made an inquiry. A supervisor will call me soon. Only once did someone actually call. She said she would look into the problem and call me back. I never heard from her again. I finally called back (this is now over 3 months since receiving the card) and demanded that a check be sent to me. Supposedly they are sending that and it will be here in 15 days. If that actually happens, I will be shocked. Terrible company. I work for a job where we need to buy gifts for clients relatively frequently and I KNOW that I will NEVER use this company.
11/27/2015 - As an update. I had to call another 3 times to request my check which was supposed to come in 14 days. On my second call, I said that I was ready to report them to the better business bureau as I felt that they were fraudulent. The next day I received the amazon gift cards in my email that I requested back in July. I was still frustrated that I did not receive the promised check and when I called they said they changed their mind and decided to give me the gift certificates. I was exasperated enough to just take the gift certificates. But this is a very shady company. Don't use them to give gifts. I really think they bank on people receiving a gift and that they won't be as persistent enough to actually follow through on getting the money that they were given. It is an awful, awful company.
