You actually have to give personal information to redeem this card that's not wise obviously the person who purchased this was too lazy to go and purchase the gift card I would have liked or just send me cash

Do not use this horriable company. They advertise fake guft cards they sell in the net whuch are actually carda to make a depoait to a bank account or PayPal. MY friend Wwent to make a bank deposit and the bank said the code he gave was useless. I called for a refund but no one answers the phone sent 5 letters no action. Avoid them zero stars

Bait and switch
December 19, 2024

Ask me for my Social Security number and date of birth. I had to confirm my yahoo address only for them the next day to cancel the gift card now I'm concerned about fraud.

Beware Bait & Switch
December 3, 2024

When we searched for how to buy a gift certificate to a specific restaurant called Sissy's in Breckenridge, we were happy to get a hit. Giftly's site for Sissy's gift cards has a nice description of the place and a cute graphic of what the gift card would look like, with "Sissy's" on it. After I purchased it and it was sent to the recipient, I researched further for details about how the recipient redeems the digital card. THAT is when I discovered that NONE of the gift cards are specific to any place. They are only Visa gift cards. The whole reason I needed a gift certificate to a restaurant for my cousin was to give him money for FOOD ONLY. Not for cigarettes and alcohol. Now, I've sent him a gift card for whatever his heart desires. NOT my intention.
Can't cancel it without emailing customer service. NO one answers the phone - you can only leave a message.

I sent a Giftly egift and a week later they threatened to cancel it unless I sent more info. I did and they cancelled it anyway. Why even approve it in the first place? Never contacted me or offered a valid explanation as to why? Pathetic.

Do yourself a favor and use a more reputable company for egifts.

Why would anyone use this company if you knew how everything is processed. They are deceptively using your money and they require you give out your personal information to redeem a so called "gift certificate" for cash. They have no accounts at any business for you to redeem your certificate. You redeem the certificate by having them send money to your paypal or personal account. The EMAILED gift card is only a suggestion of where you should shop. You still have to use your own money, or wait for the transaction period of funds being deposited in your account. I can't believe the Federal Government allows this company to continue doing business.

It's not gift card. Money are not available right away. They just send fancy email to recipient and then offer to transfer the money to Paypal, Bank account in 3 to 4 days or receive physical cash card in 2 weeks. Service costs 7 bucks. I could have just transfer via Zelle or PayPal and don't pay that fee. Don't waste your money.

Do not use this site.
December 12, 2022

First, you do not receive a gift card. You receive a card with a code that indicates you an provide your bank info or request a card which takes up to 14 business days to process. I paid $113.00 for an Aldi gift card. Surprise Surprise they don't even have those gift cards. They send a visa card, but the recipient must request it. Many online comments about users having issue using their cards! This site is not even worth 1 star. Once you order your card they tell you repeatedly to thank the giver in a very demanding rude way. Terrible service and terrrible product.

No more Giftly
April 7, 2023

I cannot even give Giftly a 1 star review. We have received 2 Giftly cards for 2 different restaurants in the last year. We followed instructions and activated as required. In both instances, at both restaurants, the managers had difficult time processing the Giftly cards and when they finally were able to, they had to do so in $10.00 increments only. The cards were for $50.00 each but we could not access entire amount at checkout. They appear to want you to leave a balance on card. We were informed by the staff at both restaurants that this was not unusual with Giftly. I have told our Daughter not to use Giftly again.

Zero Stars
July 15, 2023

Received a modest gift from a relative and Giftly aka PerfectGift.com makes it really hard to redeem. Simply getting a physical gift card took a week and then when trying to buy a pizza for less than the amount, the card was denied. (PerfectGift's excuse is that food retailers automatically add a 20% phantom tip prior to completion of the transaction and that put me over the cards limit. Also to empty the card you have to do multiple transactions to drain any remaining amount. Sounds like a scam...keeping your money in their pocket for as long as they can.

As an engagement gift for a friend, I purchased a gift card for a specific local bar/restaurant using Giftly as it was the only option to do so online. When I received the confirmation email it showed that the gift card was "for $25 at *restaurant name*" but my friend received an email to redeem the funds via Paypal? She was confused when I asked her if she got celebratory drinks at the specific restaurant as she thought I just sent her money. No idea why I paid a $4 service fee when I could've just transferred money to my friend for free if that is what I wanted to do. Not only did Giftly ruin the gift but I am now out $4 in fees.

Don't buy Giftly gift certificates. They don't redeem the full amount of your gift card at time of purchase particularly at a restaurant. I was only able to apply $80 towards my restaurant bill from my $100 gift card. Not fair, which means my purchaser got the 20% discount. I would not recommend this product at all! Zero rating!

Absolutely ridiculous on how to redeem this card. You pay extra for nothing but a huge headache! Do not buy! Just go get an actual gift card and save yourself from this disaster of a site!

They are issuing gift cards using my restaurant's name without permission. We do not issue gift cards. I would like the name to be deleted as it is very annoying.

Giftly lets sender gift money to someone and the someone can choose the gift card retailer. Then giftly sends the card. WORST redemption process ever for the recipient -- SKIP this vendor!
Received email of giftly card from family member in different state - great idea I thought. BAD implementation -- what I had to go through to redeem is ridiculous. Received my card from store of my choice. Call to activate -- yes, totally get that. But to set PIN to use the card you have to go to the website. Guess what? Website doesn't have PIN set option. Customer service doesn't answer, menu option says to set PIN on website, you're supposed to email them with your problem (really? I wanted to walk out the door and use my card)
If you google how to set PIN it says to call customer service (see above about what happens when you call customer service). Continued to google and found link to link to link of ** differently named website ** on where to set pin. BUT still don't know how to have merchant run card (debit? Credit?)
Oh, and yes, they charge you if you don't use card after 12 months. That should be illegal.
BAD system when so many others are easy and straightforward to use.
PASS on this and find another gift card system! 100% say use someone else!

Purchased for an immediate gift card and when my daughter was at a drive thru, it says the gift has to be deposited into paypal, bank account or 7-14 days in the mail. What a scam. $5.00 processing fee and $1.00 for gift card. If I don't get a full refund I will dispute with my credit card company. Beware!
