Gigsalad is getting more and more efficient. From time to time we get leads. Then we reply with a quote. What's awesome about this platform is that GigSalad sends you an email notification on the spot when the client "view" your quote. This is key in following with the client on time.
When one gets many leads from time to time on several platforms on can miss on the follow-ups. And THE FOLLOW UPS (rightly done so) are KEY in closing/selling deals.

GigSalad is by far the best resource that I have found for my jazzreggae band Byrds of a Feather. Their price structure is very fair and their web site is very effective at getting clients. I have also used their better known competitor, and GigSalad has far better clients. I don't claim to know the reason, but there is really no comparison to the quality of the gigs I get from Gigsalad compared to their competition, who also charges more and delivers far less. Also, they a pleasure to work with, and I get the feeling they really care about the musicians they serve. 3 cheers for GigSalad!
Just want to say that I've been a Gigsalad member now for a few years and they are an upstanding organization. I'm a solo guitarist who has increased my exposure and bookings using GigSalad and looking forward to being with them for years to come.

Someone on their sight (Mariachi Mexicanismo) didn't show up to my wedding which I payed for, and gig salad basically said it was my fault. Terrible customer service and poor very "slick willy" type people.

We are a working, traveling band and we love having an online booking agent! The Gigsalad team members are nice and easy to work with. Gigsalad is the online replacement for the booking agents of the past who only booked certain select people and you had to know somebody. Gigsalad has something for everybody and tries to meet you where your needs are. The only reason we don't shout out more praises is we kind of want to keep them to ourselves!
Don't purchase the upgrade packages. They promise you will be at the top of searches and you will get more leads but you're not at the top and your leads are the same as a free account. They do not give refunds (even if you ask within 24 hours of purchasing) and there is no free trial. It's just a waste of money and I feel scammed. The free version is fine.

We also do not guarantee more leads, but in general, our paid members get 22x more leads than unpaid members. I listed my company on GigSalad years ago. Every year I am impressed with the ways they make it easier on the business owner. Using their save options on quotes and replies saves so much time! Letting GigSalad do the leg work and collections makes for MANY fewer headaches! LOVE THEM! I tell all of my business associates to list on GigSalad!

The jobs I have booked through GigSalad have all been great. I like GigSalad because you can set your own rate, and negotiate before sending a quote. You're really working for yourself. What people need to remember is GigSalad is a PLATFORM, they are not the event police, and there is a certain amount of risk involved always when you have to rely on people. My suggestion for anyone using GigSalad, whether you are hiring or being hired is, make sure to have a phone conversation/interview with the other party and verbally agree to all the details. If you book someone months in advance, make sure you are following up leading up to the event. If you are totally professional on both sides, events can turn out great. Just remember that you are dealing with PEOPLE, and the rest isn't GigSalad's fault.

GigSalad was very efficient. Easy to use. I liked the way it could suggest other bands that were similar to the couple of bands as to which we expressed interest. We hired one of the suggested bands. Easy to compare styles of music and prices.

GigSalad is SO easy to use. For the performer and the client. They send you reminders of the upcoming gig and encourage communication which is a good practice anyway. They use a very fair fee structure and even collect for you. Have used GigSalad for years and plan to stay.
