Without a doubt Gixen is the best sniping site that I've used - I hardly ever lose an auction. It's really cheap - or free - and is automatically linked to Ebay.
Simple and reliable. Cost effective $6/year I think. I've been using it for several years now without problems. It levels the playing field bidding, everyone gets one shot at the same time.
This the greatest tool for buying on ebay it is great value for the small amount asked each year or two years.

I've been using Gixen for several years to automate my eBay auction purchases. Sniping at the last moment will often win the auction, if your bid is reasonable, without creating a bidding war as eBay's proxy bidding system often does. The result has been a lot of saved money and time, making the paltry $6 per year charge for the optional double server bidding (called Mirror) well worth it. And, Gixen is FREE if you choose to stay with the standard single server bidding feature.
I have experienced NONE of the alleged problems with Gixen. No password issues. No Paypal funds issues. Every time I use the Gixen service things go without a hitch. I've used the service exclusively with my desktop PC. I cannot speak to the ease of use of Gixen's mobile Android app (free to Mirror subscribers), though I have no reason to suspect it would be any less effective.
Will Gixen win every auction for you? Of course not. A lot depends on the popularity of the item(s) being auctioned, which makes for more sniping & proxy bidding competition, and being sure not to bid some ridiculously low amount that is almost guaranteed to lose. That being said, I've won several auctions at very low prices, but with the knowledge that my bids could easily have been too low to win.
Based on my several years of membership, I highly recommend Gixen as a safe and low-cost way to save BIG on eBay auctions!
In the world of auctions this is a great tool. You just set your bid and Gixen does all the work. You'll receive info if you've been outbid and this allows you to make adjustments. Glad I found it!
I had been using a paid auction sniper service for years and was very happy with it until I found Gixen would do the same thing for free. All the bids I've placed have been carried out perfectly.

I have been using Gixen to snipe on eBay for several years now and have been almost 99% successful with all my bids. As a paid subscriber I get a multitude of options that the free service does not get. I find the sniping from 2 different locations a great and unique service that doubles my chances of a successful snipe. The fact that I can also set my snipe time and set an unlimited amount of free snipes basically allows me to set the app to auto-cruise mode!. No annoying ads (although these do help the site to maintain itself!) distract me from watching "live" over my snipes. I loved the introduction of the desktop software. This meant I didnt even have to have a browser opened to set my snipes. Really useful! Overall you get so much more than other sniping services such as a community forum for any questions you might have and thanks to the mirror service included as a subscriber as I have proven for myself, a higher success rate of winning snipes!. I cannot see myself ever changing from Gixen back to another snipe service as it is so easy to set-up and start sniping... a nice clear layout with the option to group snipes and the SSL provides me with confidence that I am being protected at all times. I've been using GIXEN for many years now, before I used other snipping services which were fine but all had limitations, I must admit GIXEN is not free now as it used to be(unless you want limited snipes) but for just six bucks a year you get unlimited snipes as well as your snipes entered by a mirror server so there is almost no chance of your snipe not being entered. Try GIXEN you will be well pleased you did. Richard

I have been sniping for about 15 years now. I've tried bidnip, JBidwatcher, and another software sniper that I can't recall the name of.
For a few years now I've stuck with gixen and it is by far the best and easiest snipe solution I have used to date. I would recommend the Firefox add-on (Autosnipe).
One feature I really like is "Multi-win group bidding" which is where multiple snipes of the same type of item can be categorized so that once the specified number of wins is hit, the other snipes are canceled. Example: Bid on 10 widgets with a multi-win "Items to win before canceling" set to 2.4 bids are placed and the 1st and 4th win. The other 6 bids will not be placed.
Another feature I like is that there is a mirror server, so failure is rare. I have never had a snipe misfire yet.
I have to say that I highly recommend Gixen.
EBay bidding wars suck. Given is a great way to mitigate this problem. It has always been reliable. Easy to use. No software to install. Well worth the $6 a year.
Gixen snipes ebay for an extremely nominal fee each year, NOT each snipe, as was my previous experience. Gixen nails 'em, no apologies. Very satisfied.
I've used and found Gixen to be just fantastic for many years. Whilst it does at times remove the game od eBay - it makes what you want easier to obtain I reckon. Just do it!

Com, (Mario's Sniper service) for several years now and in ALL that time I only had one auction that did not complete and that turned out to be EBAY'S fault (their website was down); even then Mario reached out to me alerting me to the status of my bid. I CHALLENGE anyone to find a MORE reliable service with BETTER CUSTOMER SERVICE (you contact Mario, he will answer quickly amd honestly-) at the price it sells for... I have been a customer for several years, I have tried several sniper services... NONE WERE FOUND BETTER! I will stay at Gixen, give it a shot and you will also! GREAT SITE...
