Gixen

I'm a U. K. comic collector who buys and bids extensively on e-Bay. Gixen has allowed me to assess and enter all my bids for forthcoming auctions at a single time and not leave me chained to a computer to place last second bids at ungainly hours of the morning or night! Just as important, it creates a discipline in bidding strategy, including fixing maximum bids well before auction end, removing that 'bidding fever' that can sometimes be a pitfall for some prospective buyers trapped in last-minute bidding frenzies with other bidders. You win some and you lose some... be content with that! Do pay the subscription and buy upfront for 2 years... it really is exceptional value and will free up countless hours to enjoy other life pleasures.

I found and have been using Gixen bid sniper since at least 2010 and I could not be happier with it. Initially I used only their free service but eventually I felt a bit guilty because I'd been able to snipe and save money on items I really wanted so many times. I bought a subscription and I've been buying one every year since then because it pays for itself if you're an eBay deal hunter like I am. I don't always win what I want but I usually do and can often do so at a much lower price than I would have otherwise been able to pay. Gixen is fantastic, simple, no frills. It's not the prettiest user interface but it's overall very reliable and fairly simple. I recommend it to everyone I know who's trying to score deals on eBay. Mario responds quickly to any support questions I've ever had and has been thoroughly helpful in resolving any problems.

I used Gixen for a year or longer. I now use it more of less exclusively when bidding on eBay. Head and shoulders above the other eBay auction snipers that I've used.

4* rather 5" simply because logging in can sometimes take ages; and occasionally doesn't work at all. I'm a UK user and I don't if that has anything to do with it. This is more an annoyance rather than a real problem as once I've set my bid, I don't need to go back in to Gixen unless I want to edit it.

Worked just fine for one snipe before it would not take me back to my account, but directing to a page about mirror service. Not free. Not even close.

Sitejabber suggests you can upload media, but that doesn't include animated gifs or video clips. So I can only post the screens I see on Gixens site.

Brilliant system, however having paid for 2 years, and changed my ebay password Gixen does not respond any more and there is no customer dept to assist you. I can't fix it, so I'm out and onto another snipe platform, disappointed in the customer service!
PART 2! I did cantact Mario who said its something ebay had done, and that he had tried to help but didn't happen. I have now got a compiuter expert in and HE has since solved the problem this week and I'm back on. I stand by what I have said, they should have a dedicated helpline department, BUT it IS a VERY good system and VERY good value, BEATS! All the rest out there on price. I Looked after my problem but could NOT find better! I think thats a fair review.

Gixen has won me every auction I have directed it to. The tool has a free version which is fine for light users like me, but as the tool is so cool I pay the tiny yearly amount to subscribe. Highlights have been using it to win a fancy chair which I resold at £50 profit! And a bike for £150 less than what they normally go for. If you desperately want an item, just whack up the bid to what the item sold for at retail and sit back and relax. I sometimes feel cheeky using it - especially auctions where there was an initial bidding war which calms down with several days to go. The other bidders don't know what hit them!

Also the creator is quite transparent about everything. Here is a forum, he will answer questions, take suggestions and so on. It reassures me this isn't a gone tomorrow site
