I heard about glambot.com from a girl friend who works at Ulta. I checked out the site and was amazed that they have thousands of items available for purchase. I was able to find a MAC Studio Tech Cream Compact Foundation that is now discontinued. Because it was my first purchase, I was able to use a 15% off code that was emailed to me. Pretty awesome. Although the item was listed as 80% fill, it arrived in almost new condition. Although used makeup is not for everyone, it's great for those looking for a rare item or for expensive brands on a discount. I'm on their email list and this they are always rolling out insane deals, at least once a week. I like to check the site now and then to see what new items they have listed on the site. It's fun to even just window shop!
This is a very shady and misleading company. They have an estimator on their site of what one can earn selling slightly used makeup. Yet they consistently pay about.50 to $1 per item. The BBB needs to shut this "business" down.
I love their makeup selection. I have tried a few expensive ones from other stores which do not necessarily do good job on skin. Glambot offers value for money
I have been pleased every time I've ordered from them.
This store will always have pretty a good variety of products and discounts to choose from.
Thank you
Some authentic on this site. I've bought from some sites before which I won't mention here but was not so lucky. Got mostly deliveries of fake make-ups but I've never experienced that with Glambot.
Hi Raven! Yes we take quality control very seriously here at Glambot. Unfortunately, there are a lot of sites offering great deals on makeup- but the makeup is not authentic. Very dangerous to use such items. We're located here in San Francisco, California. Glad we were able to make your day :)
Like others said, you have to know what youre doing when buying from Glambot. They have regular big discounted sales that have gotten me great values- but for the best values, get their dollar bags, sample bags, and mystery bags that come around a couple of times a year. Ive been delighted with the value of what Ive received. Charlotte Tilbury and Marc Jacobs palettes for around 20$ each- mystery bags that cost 20$ with over 200$ of maleup, almost at 100% full... you have to pay attention and choose the best values... as far as selling, you can expect about $1-2 per product. Its only good if you know youve got stuff that youd get rid of anyways - and you get more value if instead of money you choose glam bucks, which is store credit, youll get better value. Might not be worth the trouble for some people.
Hi! Thanks so much for the honest and helpful review. I'm sure others out there are finding your input useful in making their own decision :)
I bought a set of Milk makeup and GlamGlow here last month. I must say, I'm enjoying the value for my money. Some top class products from this site. My first time to shop here but I'm impressed.
Hiya Catherine! Thanks for your review and sharing your experience with others:)
Yes, MILK and GlamGlow are both very popular brands that we sell on our website. Glad to hear that you were able to get those brands at a bargain discount. We try our very best to procure all the hottest brand such as Kat Von D, HUDA Beauty, Anastasia of Beverly Hills and more! We also offer very high end luxury brands such as Tom Ford, Chanel, Givenchy, all at pretty amazing discounts. Thanks for stopping by and we hope to see you again soon! Xoxo
I sent them 28 items, all high end, all barely used (some new!). Some of the items: Too Faced Sweet Peach Palette, UD Naked 3, Josie Maran Vibrancy Foundation, Jeffree Star Beauty Killer & Mint Condition Skin Frost, and more. They offered $28. I declined and paid $14 to have my items returned to me. It has been 8 months and I never received my items back. I feel sick. And because they pay for the label when you initially ship them the items you can't get postal insurance to cover your items should they get lost or never returned to you. SCAM THROUGH AND THROUGH!
So my girlfriend has a tradition of telling me (heavily hinting) at what she wants when there is a gifting holiday coming up. This particular holiday was our 3rd anniversary! Usually, it's the thought that counts but she hinted that she wanted a makeup from a brand called Urban Decay. Apparently, she loves this brand (I have no clue about makeup or makeup brands). I just graduated college, so I don't have a lot of money to spend. I did some research online for discounted makeup and this website was in the search result. At first, I didn't realize that the makeup was second-hand because the website looked pretty sleek and professional. Because she knows I'm on a budget, I showed her the site and asked if it was safe to buy the makeup she wanted from this site. She was a bit surprised at first, but then we read some other reviews online and asked their Customer Service, if it was safe to use used makeup. Makeup artists and those other girls that sell makeup at the mall use used makeup on customers, so we figured it was a safe bet.
The items came (a little later than we expected), but she was really surprised that the items were almost new. Everything was very clean and well-packaged (picture below). They even threw in some free samples! She was very happy and I got to save money. Pretty sweet deal if you ask me!
Hi Nika! Thanks so much for sharing that experience with our readers here. That was very sweet and considerate of you :)
I loved what I received. Every item was in excellent condition and I am very pleased! It gave me a chance to try products I have never tried before. Thanks!
Hi Vicki! So happy that you are completely satisfied with your order. We offer a very large range of brands and products so that our customers have access to all the beauty products they could ever want!
Easy to use simplified for people like myself who aren't brilliant on online stores. I was updated with the delivery details and the package arrived within the specified time frame.
Hiya Maggie! Welcome to the Glambot Fam! All makeup fanatics are welcomed:)
Delivery overseas can be a bit tricky (we are located in the United States), especially with each country's customs clearance. Glad we were able to serve your makeup needs in a timely fashion! Woot woot!
I got a fabulous package of foundation and MAC beauty products from Glambot. I gave them as a gift to my aunt and she was really impressed. They have some recommendable products
This is a review of selling to Glambot, not buying. Overall, I found that their communication about selling terms was so inconsistent, error-laden, and ambiguous that I never actually sent off my makeup because I felt it was too risky.
I was considering sending a sell package to Glambot, so asked for a shipping label. When they returned my email, I noticed that the message said I needed to include 20 full-sized items, not 10 as the website currently describes. I sent multiple requests for clarification to their customer service, and learned that their current selling terms are not what is reflected on their website, which I find to be incredibly misleading. Some of the inconsistencies I found were:
1.10 full-sized products is only a promotion until 1/31/2017. Normal requirement is 20 products.
2. Glambot no longer accepts Back2MAC even though the website says such items can count toward 1 full-sized item.
3. Glambot no longer counts 4 premium samples as equaling one full-sized item even though the website says that it does. In fact, premium samples can no longer be counted toward full-sized items AT ALL.
I can imagine lots of sellers shipping off their items to Glambot relying on the website information and being sorely disappointed and angry to learn (after Glambot already has possession of their products!) that the terms vary so widely from what is advertised.
Based on these errors alone, I did not trust selling to them.
I had a great experience with Kelly, the phone representative.
Needed to revise my order.
She was really helpful.
That's a great of you Kelly
Great customer service worth of 5 stars
Not a question, I just wanted to say I think their service is innovative. Service is awesome and shipping has been super quick! Everything has been perfect and if it has used, I sure can't tell!
Thanks for the positive shout out Mary! Sending our <3 (better late than never!)
I love Glambot but I also hate it. The products and the prices are amazing but I always go overboard, especially on the 50% off section. The got me broke once..
Hi Kelly! Thanks for the flattering response. Initially, you have me worried, there! Yes, I agree that the 50% off section is definitely tempting. Especially as we are always adding new items to that section and there is no limit on how many you can buy (unlike our 80% off section, which we need to limit to 2 or 3 per order because of limited supply). We hope to see you again sometime soon :)
This is was absolutely unbelievable offer that I got from this store.
The makeups are just beautiful. Talk about the variety of brands to choose from.
It's really nice of you
Hiya Babe! Yes and more Yes! The 5 for $15 sale is currently live. We are adding new items later today, so check back to see more makeup and skincare goodies! :)
Glambot Thieves!
Some invitations have not reached me in a few months, I write to them a lot and they just do not respond, be careful do not be tempted!
Bought stila smudge potm urban decay glide eyeshadow. They send me a smudge pot that dotn have eyeshadow on it. When I open it there is a very very hard rubber or I dotn know what to call that, that is totally glued inside. I dotn know if I am going to laugh or cry when I saw it. And then The glide on eyshadow its 3 inches and is cut off adn is super hard means its old. I just cant believe why they are still around after scamming a bunch of customer. I didnt even return it anymore cuz I know I will just waste my time. NEVER AGAIN! Btw, tht was my first time buying from them.
Glambot, for who those who aren't familiar, is an online company which sells high-end (from MAC to Armani) makeup which it buys secondhand from consumers. The products are "sanitized" and offered at sometimes deep discounts. This is a site I have enjoyed using, with a few glitches. I have bought and sold at Glambot. Founded in 2012 by Karen Horiuchi, the site currently has 21 complaints registered with the San Francisco better Business Bureau. As of today, it had mine, for a grand total of 22. On January 6,2020, I shipped a large box of for sale items to Glambot. I used their prepaid shipping label. The parcel was delivered on January 9,2020. After some time, and no offer (which has been prompt in the past,) I began to try to contact the company. I have emailed four times. I have used Facebook messenger. I tried the phone number listed on the BBB. (left a message.) No response. The package I sent was all Chanel, Armani and other high-end cosmetics. All in good-new condition. I get emails every day from this company asking me to buy their products. I know people complain about this company because of their low offers for merchandise. This is different. I filed with the BBB because they have my products, tracked to their address, using their label, and they have, in effect, stolen them. Seller Beware.
I have placed about 5 or 6 orders on their site. Processing takes about 7 days, and 3-4 more for shipping, so i usually get it in a little under 2 weeks. The deals aren't bad, SOMETIMES.
I just want to warn you, that most products, even 100% full or "unopened" can contain some really deadly bacteria. Also, you might save $3-4 but the product could be 1-3 years old, and you have no idea until you receive it and look it up. It might seem really great because they sell limited edition items... but they also might be REALLY expired.
I bought a 100% filled Bare Minerals blush, and was super excited i paid so little for it. I checked the cosmetic calculator after i received it, and it was manufactured in April 2011... Its now December 2015... EWW ALMOST 5 YEARS OLD OPENED! I didn't really think about the expiration dates because they say they don't buy expired products... obviously that's not true because 3 out of 4 items i bought were well over 1 year old. That's really dangerous, and not worth the discount to possibly contract meningitis.
I have ordered from glambot 15x in past month I'm addicted I don't know why the bad rap? All of my items were perfect and most of them were completely untouched and everything was super clean. Shipping is long though that's my main complaint it takes 2 weeks but given I'm in Canada it's not that bad I guess. I've had a few issues not gonna say they're perfect. 'Missing item from my order and 3 sale items that were out of stock after I paid BUT I got immediate refunds for all those items and no hassle whatsoever so customer service is definitely great
If u buy during the clearances or glambot vault u get crazy deals! I have purchased limited edition brand new Nars face palettes and tarte palettes for under $20. BRAND NEW! Worth about $100 each and LE from last year so not expired...
My too faced, Kat VON d, Marc Jacobs and hourglass palettes were untouched and fresh based on batch codes
And I paid 50-70-% off retail
Stop hating honestly I don't get it this is a dream website for a makeup junkies like myself who pays BIG money at retail stores and for LE's on eBay. Now that I have Glambot - I'll never buy retail again. My collection has grown beautiful for super cheap. If( selling to them is an issue then just buy, but don't drag this company down because they won't pay you what u think they should for your used makeup that they have to sanitized and pay people to do so, & re sell for enough to make money but cheap enough to have return customers
Think about it
Hey chicka! So glad that we were able to service the needs of a makeup hardcore like you. Take care, babe :)
For anyone who is stylish with makeups, Glambot is the best store to visit. You have a variety of latest makeups at unbelievable prices. You want to give it a try
I have been curious of Glambot for about a year. I haven't purchased anything but I did have some makeup I didn't use and thought I would give it a shot to sell. I went to the website, read the list of items, and packed everything up nice and neat. Thinking I would get a fair offer for the makeup I sent it in. And I waited for an offer to be emailed to me I did happen to look at the website and one of the eyeshadow pallets I had sent in sold for over 55 dollars with one of the pans missing. My Pallet had all the pans and really only been used less than 20 times so I thought I would get a decent offer. I received my offer and they only offered me 9 dollars for the whole box. NINE. That's not even a dollar an item. Now how can you offer me 9 dollars and sell an exact pallet for 55 dollars? How is that even fair? I had various items in there that had barely been used and a few that I hadn't. A brand new just came out powder foundation that was used once and it wasn't my color so I sent it in and you offer me not even a dollar for it? But I'm sure they would sell it for almost the full price of the powder on their website. I think this is a scam and a shame. If you've had a good outcome then great. I also rejected their offer and had to pay THEM 9 dollars to return my items. So I basically paid them for nothing. I'm a little angry at the whole situation because a few hundred dollars in makeup is not worth just 9 dollars for them to get a huge profit. It's just wrong. Just beware and do it at your own risk. But I advise against it.
No mai answer, no instagram answer, no fb answer...
The have blocked my card after receiving glambucks and I can't use them, so I cant order.
Why?
Its not clever..
I Received my package in the mail but was missing a product. The most expensive one too! I just want an answer and get no response.

Glambot was founded by a tried-and-true makeup hoarder. She loves makeup and all of the glamour it represents. Trying the various online makeup bartering and trading communities, she experienced the major downsides, including swap lifting, counterfeits...
Hi Ronna! Aww, that's so sweet of you. Glad to hear you are a part of our tight knit community. It means a lot of hear your positive feedback. As always, we will continue to try our very best to provide you the best deals on makeup!
