I needed to send the package from Slovakia to Italy. Because of the public holidays in slovakia I was very nervous if the package arrives on time. Using the tracking I could see that the package arrived really the lowest level delivery time within EU 3 zones as declared. From my point of view - very good job.
First experience with this service. Their courier left my package in the middle of the floor in a public lobby of my apartment complex where it was stolen before I even got the notification it was delivered. Emailing them they told me there was nothing they could do and directed me to the seller, who had nothing at all to do with their negligence. This company sees nothing wrong with a courier just throwing a package onto the floor and taking off, and will do nothing to help after the fact. I advise staying as far away from them as possible as both shipper and receiver.
Despite giving them the gate code (to a broken gate stuck open) and countless HOURS on hold, they cannot figure out how to deliver a package. We've used this service to the same address for years and they mess it up every single time. How you can excuse 3 departments or more not doing their job and wasting hours of my time is beyond me. This company won't stay afloat with all the lost man hours driving in circles. Tomorrow will be their fourth "attempt" at delivering a small package, when i'm working from home, waiting for them. Must be unreasonable to make a simple phone call to the customer.
I get meal food kits delivered weekly. The company uses GLS and this is the second week in the last three weeks that the food kit I was supposed to receive on Wednesday, still hasn't been delivered by Friday. There's no updated tracking info either. The first time, the excuse was a truck broke down. This time it's supposedly due to our mediocre winter weather where I live. Funny the weather excuse was received in an email on Wednesday. They still aren't able to make it 2 days later? Good thing FedEx, Amazon, and UPS aren't having the same problems since I've received several deliveries from these services on time or early this week. My food will be bad or frozen like last time. Needless to say, GLS is incompetent and I'll be changing back to a food delivery service that uses a more reputable shipping company.
Company I buy fancy cat food from just recently switched to GLS. Since then, my orders are delivered to the wrong side of town (SW 15th rather than SE 15th). Mistakes happen and I'm pretty laid back but this is the second time in a row. Over $100 worth of time sensitive perishable goods. Delivering late is not an option. Just had to cancel my subscription. I feel bad because it's not the cat food company's fault but I can't take the chance with perishable goods. GLS can't seem to read simple addresses correctly. Avoid at all costs. Don't order from any company that uses GLS.

Twice had wine deliveries which required someone 21+ to sign for...they tried to deliver but went to the wrong address and then stated that we were not home to accept the delivery. Tried calling at 5:56 PST, got voice mail to leave a message, but website states that they are open to phone calls until 7:00 PST...tried CHAT, waited 15 minutes, no one every answered and then got a message stating that no one is available. Very unreliable service, have advised the shippers to discontinue their relationship with this company.
I signed up for a meal kit delivery, and the company uses GLS for some reason. I'm a new customer, and each delivery has been delayed by a day. This is perishable food, that I see on their website... they receive the morning it's supposed to be delivered. Yet it sits "en route" less than 25 miles from me all day and night. I'm hoping I get yesterday's delivery before noon today, unlike last week.
I have to use this service because my meal kit company picked them. They've reported my complaint last week and today. Hopefully they'll drop them.
* edit -- as of this writing, Sunday, 6/19 I have still not received my perishable food box. I have cancelled my subscription with the service and they know it's 100% due to GLS. GLS SUCKS and should be ashamed of themselves (considering all these similar reviews). They have had my order since 5am 6/17. It's been sitting in their warehouse or their vans for over 48 hours. If I do even get it, it now has to go straight to the trash.

30 emails and over a month later I still don't have my package. Somebody who wasn't me received it and FORGED my signature. No sign of getting my money back. Just more bull$#*! responses from them. Shocking company. Shocking customer service.

Simple issue: find the status of an order that they claimed was delivered. Chat is available, phone also. Tried both. Gave up on both after 25 minutes. No modern phone queue technology (call back, estimated wait time) just a good old fashioned stuck in a forever queue with nobody answering. Wow, that's like back to the 80's I can't recall service centers that bad. Gave up and just resolved to avoid the firm forever.
I think this has to be the WORST shipping company ive ever experienced. First, they dont provide a time frame so you dont know when to be home in order to sign. Second, they are always delayed so if they give you an est delivery date dont be surprised if it shows up a week later. Third, you would have an easier time getting a hold of the president before you get a hold of an agent to speak to. They are un responsive and unprofessional. I feel bad for all the companies that use GSl as their way of sending packages out.
Along with completely ignoring the delivery time change request, these imbeciles delivered to an address in the dead middle of the night to a house that was undergoing a termite treatment...like hello? There's clearly no one there to get the package you idiots why would you even bother? They also just threw it right next to the trashcans which was a fun touch.
This company said they attempted to deliver and never did. Then held my package saying it was requested to be held for pick up, which was also a lie. I called the company 4 times to try to get this figured out and got the run around. After 5 days, I still have not received my package and none of the people working there seem to care at all. I gave specific instructions multiple times and even asked them to call me since it has been such a problem for them to deliver. I hope companies stop using them to ship items to customers. This is a terrible company.
An online printer I use employs these guys to do their shipping. They totally botch my overnight shipping. When I followed up with their customer services to figure it out... they were anything but helpful. Passing blame back at the print company. Repeating over and over that "we can't help you". This was through chat. When I did get someone on the line, they would only give me name and rank... no actual help with the order. This seemingly would have been an easy fix, but they failed. I have passed the feedback on to the print vendor, but they aren't much better.

I ordered a piece of art that was shipped with GLS. The first shipment they lost my package and took ZERO responsibility for it. Instead insisted the shipper was at fault. The shipper was not at fault but they had amazing customer service and re-shipped another canvas. GLS has now re-scheduled my package 5 times now. I've tried to call their customer service number over a dozen times and have been on the line for hours and NO ONE ever answers. Their chat has a pending line ov over 100 people every time you start a chat. 3 hours later, yes 3 HOURS later I finally got on a chat and the rep "Cameron" said he doesn't know where my package is again and they will "call me asap". I expressed I needed a direct line to a manager or a call from a manager there and then and the rep said No and ended the chat because they were "too busy". The worst shipping experience but even worse is their customer service. DO NOT ship with this poor excuse of a company.
They just leave my package 10 days in Germany, if i didn't write them 4 mails, they never send it to right destination! The excuse was "that due to an error in their system, your order was misdirected.'
The worst customer service I've ever received is provided by GLS. Even though I contacted GLS's customer service multiple times and they requested my email or phone number, I didn't receive my parcel for a whole week after Zara informed me that it had been sent to shipping. Their website also appears to be untrustworthy and cheap. I don't understand why such a large corporation as Zara choose this business as a shipping partner.
I paid for next day shipping but my package said it won't be here till next week a total of 5 business days later! They sent the package to Georgia when I'm in Illinois! They only realized the mid once I called them. So they sent it back to California but now they don't know what warehouse it's at! Also every time I called to speak with a manager they said they didn't have one available. Never will I use them again

They never delivered my parcel. When I called customer service the first time she was great and told me the shipping department would get back to me in 2 hours. Nothing. I called the next day, again she was very polite, put me on hold to find out where it was. This time the story was the entire trailer had been stolen and I need to file a claim with the original product distributor. While I was on hold I searched the reviews, oh my. This shipper must be a scammer! No company can be this bad without it being a scam. Do they steal the parcels and resell? I suggested to customer service that she sounded very pleasant and it was time she looked for another job before the company is sued, or just disappears. I have contacted the original company I purchased from and their distributor and suggested they never use this shipper again. I would suggest contacting anyone that uses this shipper and tell them to never use them again. I would attach a photo but again….no delivery.
The delivery person doesn't know how to follow delivery instructions so I had to wait the next day for my package. And now they're hours late from the latest I was told they would deliver. Still waiting on my package that I should've received yesterday and it looks like I'll have to wait another day. Terrible terrible experience. I'm not purchasing from the store just so I can avoid having GLS deliver my stuff again. First & last time.
Worst shipper we have ever experienced. " Missing package" "delayed due to weather" " delayed due to unsafe location" "sorry we are having technical difficulties at this time" what ever they want to say is a straight lie! Customer service is beyond rude and they straight up steal your stuff and say it was lost. How is EVERY package "lost" get your sh** together gls.
If you value your package being delivered or honest attempts to make the deliveries, then do not trust these clowns with your package. They mark their tracking site for customers to see where the package is as, "delivery attempted", when they never knock on your door or rang the door bell. This company can not be trusted with your parcels, and companies should not use them at all. They are incompetent at best and extremely dishonest about the trying to deliver packages. I am now in the process of trying to get my money back from the seller who I bought the goods from since this company will never be able to complete the delivery. I feel sorry for the seller as they tried to find the cheapest way to get the package delivered and save the customer some money. But they should have just went with UPS or FedEx to deliver the product.
Not even worthy of one star! They didn't deliver my package like it says on Amazon. They left a post card. I had to go find this shop and they had different shorter hours posted on the window than on google when I had to service for the address. The guy was still there but refused to help me.
Really bad experience with GLS! I was home, waited; they never ring on the door, but claimed to do so. The delivery has been sent back to their deposit, as they say. But I have no way of contacting them. The website is extremely bad designed, FAQ is not complete at all, no phone contact, they don't answer mails.

Every other delivery company seems to be able to drop off packages to me. These guys aren't smart enough to punch three numbers on an entry gate to get into my place. They sent the order back to the supplier and now they want more shipping money to try to deliver the package again. Very disappointed.

Bought a bike online, the vendor used GLS. It's been lost in Portland for a week. Sad thing about it I wanted to see the bike before we bought 18 for are rental fleet. Now we won't be purchasing bikes because of shipper
Still waiting for my package that is 40 miles away. They literally lied and said the road was closed…TWICE. I even contacted the dispatch and told them it was a lie and gave my number for issues. Still no delivery. I have never heard of this company before this experience, and I never wanna hear about them again. I only gave a 1 rating since it wouldn't let me do a ZERO. Joke of a company
