Started out well enough a couple of years ago. Now there is a $10 monthly charge for storage fees. Plus, they won't allow you to take your money out. They recently introduced extra KYC features and asked me to unload documents to 'verify my holding' again. They are doing some sort of forced migration in order to get everybody to a new vault, so you can pay more money for a lesser quality of service. They have a new KYC service that is set up to be IMPOSSIBLE to comply with. It is the most counterintuitive process I have ever experienced. It has to be deliberate. There is no reason they could not have done a manual transition instead of negating existing accounts and forcing them to do a SECOND KYC process to migrate to a vault they would never have agreed to in the first place. Avoid like the plague, it has been corrupted. BTW, owned by George Sorus.
I have been a member for10 years. I came across quite a few reviews on how bad Goldmoney was because they would not give you your money, you could not withdraw, etc. The reviews say that they ask you for a ridiculous amount of forms which is a ploy so that they can keep your money. I started to get worried because I have a good chunk of my savings there. So I went and for the first time ever sold some gold to try it out. They asked me for 1 document that had my current address on it. I sent it, it took two days and I received an email that I was now able to withdraw my funds. This is the KYC I think it's called that everyone was complaining about. Really? I seriously do not understand what all the complaining is about. It was as simple and quick as can be. As for the fees for buying and selling, I think they are great. I estimated that all in they charge about 5-6% premium for silver. Try finding that premium anywhere else. As I speak, silver spot is around $19 and silver eagles are at $33 at any online store. Maples are at $27. That is around 60 to 70% in premiums! There are always haters. I am very happy with Goldmoney and will continue to use them and recommend them.
I invested £100 and they will not give my holdings back. They charge me interest every month. Gold has hit a high, but my investment is now, they say worth £65. They will not return this money to me. The web site is impossible to get answers. STAY CLEAR OF THESE BAD PEOPLE!

Terrible experience, they overcharge you for everything and you are not able to move your money without get rib off. I will never put my money there again. Be aware
Dear Jose,
We are a publicly traded online custodial service and have some of the lowest fees in the industry.
I also have had an account with Goldmoney for over 10 years. Previously first rate professional organization. Now they will not release my funds---state they need proof of address despite having an account with them for 10 years. Proof of residence supplied and they still have not released my funds. Frightening experience and a wake up call for dealing with companies outside the US where legal authorities are unknown. As I understand once James Turk left the company it was the beginning of the end. STRONGLY RECOMMEND STAYING AWAY FROM GOLDMONEY.
Dear Gregory,
Goldmoney is always looking to stay up-to-date with any regulatory changes, and on occasion that will imply in changing or updating the requirements for account verification. Had an account with Goldmoney for years, no problem putting money in and withdrawing when I needed to. Just recently I decided to close my account and withdraw my holdings completely. That's when the game playing started. I received an email from them asking for all sorts of documents to be sent to them in order to withdraw my funds. No problem selling my shares, but a REAL BIG PROBLEM GETTING THEM TO RETURN My FUNDS! STAY AWAY from this company. Be aware that if you already have an open account with them, they will do everything they can to get you to KEEP your funds there instead of withdrawing funds when you want to. After sending them a long list of documents they requested, the next step is to try to get you to move the money into other types of accounts or a credit card or bitcoin - all accounts they control. I finally fought with them and eventually got my money wired out and closed my account, but it took a lot of threats and jumping through hoops to accomplish that.
Dear Linda,

I have been customer for many years (at least three) and never had an issue with them. I religiously used their platform to buy my precious metals. When I had a question, I would contact their support team and they would answer usually within 24 hours.
Then something changed.
Starting end of 2019, they updated their price structure, mind you, they were not cheap to begin with! The new prices were actually not the problem but just a herald of something not just quite right... Instantly, they stopped answering support requests. The last time I funded my holding, it took them 2+ months, several unanswered support requests and two phone calls to get the money credited to my account!
This was for me the last straw that broke the camel's back, so I decided to close my holding, sell all my positions and withdraw my money ASAP. I still have 500+ CAD locked on my GM account that I cannot withdraw. Again, they will not answer when contacted, there is no public communication, they are literally ghosting us. (I sat 'us' here because I see plenty of other clients posting on their social media page with complaints)
It's such a shame!

I had a large sum of fiat stored for several years at GM... loved the concept. They had several very good, flexible services when they started:
1. Foreign exchange currencies
2. Debit card (for US citizens) tied to your holdings
3. Delivery of your holding, via schiff gold (I actually used it once and it worked in 2019, as a test)
4. Good customer service: when you emailed them, response same day. If you called, someone picked up the phone.
NONE OF THE ABOVE IS AVAILABLE ANY LONGER!
I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO TAKE DELIVERY OF MY REGISTERED BARS FOR 2 WEEKS AND THEY WILL NOT RESPOND! I actually got to talk to the customer rep and told him of my frustration. He said they have been busy and the delivery quotes were taking longer than expected... that was 2 weeks ago.
I'm selling it all and exiting the entire scam... I was burned w/the Tulving scam already... GoldMoney is acting EXACTLY the same way as Tulving right before Tulving went under.
GET. OUT. NOW.

I was placing money monthly for my son into a gold account as felt there was a better return than in the bank. When I looked at my account which is just shy of one Oz of gold I noticed without any notice that I am being charged 10 dollars a month.
I tried in vain after many attempts to get my money out I have resorted to calling messaging practically begging to get the money out but I keep getting a automated robot telling me someone is dealing with this. It has since been two weeks still being charged and additional charges to move vault and attempt to move money which cost 30 dollars.
I then tried to take money out which is rather confusing I was charged 35 GBP to withdraw 16 pound which is all it would let me take. I asked for this to be cancelled but still no human reply.
Avoid this disgusting company at all cost I can see from other reviews this is not a one off still waiting for human contact and money is still in vault held by nothing more than mafiosos posing as businessmen.

We've purchase gold last year and we had it vaulted in New York. We have transferred from the New York vault to the Toronto Canada Brinks Vaul out of concern that NY Brinks didn't allow registration. We registered in Brinks Toronto. Last week we've got a call to inform us that an error has occurred and our gold bar was basically gone and they need my consent to get me a replacement
Of course we didn't give them a consent to do that. Now as of today we are waiting for a call from the President Founder of GoldMoney Roy Segar's to correct the "error". Be very careful now a days from sharks that are trying to fish you out in the murky waters of coronavirus.
Requested to get my funds transferred to bank. It's been two weeks now, and I still haven't recieved my money. Stay clear from this complany. Do not trust them.
Dear Alex,

I have my accounts verified already for 3 years, until now No problem at all. But since last September I can not take my Money out, I tired already to talk with the Customer Support, but even if I prove my name again with my Passport and the details on my Profile, Goldmoney is telling me that my Name is Not Correct, with my Bank Details. My bank is: Deutsche Bank (one of more biggest bank in the world), but for Goldmoney, that is Not a Commercial Bank.
I think that Goldmoney is already a Scam, now I am trying to get in touch with the Anti Fraud department in Canada.
