I was looking for an English Bulldog, which can be a challenge. Good Dog vetted breeders so I didn't have to worry about a potential scam. They also followed up during the process and provided useful articles for bringing home a puppy. Overall, great experience.
I contacted a couple of breeders on GoodDog.com and one of them was KZAAM Golden Retriever (Patty Byler). Since we have had 7 Golden Retrievers before I am trained in how to select a puppy. You always look at the parents to see how they are. You would be surprised at what you will find out there with breeders that are not very good. So, I always ask the Breeder to provide pictures of the male and female parents. I require a picture of the dogs in the standing position with one pic of the side view and one of the front. Looking at both parents like this will give you a good idea on what the pup will look like when they are an adult. There is nothing like seeing both parents for yourselves. This way you can see the disposition of the dame/sire. If this is not possible, go with the pictures. This method of selecting a pup has always given us great Golden Retrievers that look like the Goldens they use on TV. When I insisted Patty to provide these pictures she finally said that she was not good with letting us have one of her pups. My response to her was, without the pics we would not purchase a pup from her. Just thought anyone looking for a purebred dog should know this before looking for a purebred pup.
Good dog did a great job helping me find a new friend for my daughter that lost her last buddy after 17 years. We picked up the pup today and things are great. My daughter will be giving a full review of her new buddy named Tess since she is the owner. Thank you all!

Our experience with Good Dog has been exceptional! They have wonderful programs for breeders and buyers alike. Their customer service is hands down the best I've ever worked with. They are quick to respond to any questions and are always helpful.
I'm a breeder and a trainer. We use Good Dog mostly to be able to keep all of our applications and waitlist in one place but it also gives us many resources to provide to our clients. This includes secure payment options for buyers as well as courses, guides, and customer service options.
Be warned!Good dog has mostly backyard breeders. We are breeders and there was no vetting process. On top of that they have kept the money that should have went to us the breeders. We have sold several dogs recently through them an they have kept all the money! Be warned! Please read reviews about them before ever considering using them. They are a scam with 6 investors and nobody ever answers the phone or return emails. I've had to ask my clients to cancel there payment after 1 week of payment and still "pending"

Very helpful, great experience, and trust worthy website. I was looking for a heeler and had great success finding a wonderful breeder. The interaction and response where awesome. I used Tara from Red Desert Australian Cattle Dogs. She answered all my questions and had exactly what I wanted. Tara is supper sweet and everything she tells you in the truth. I highly recommend her and Good Dog.
I had great success placing puppies in great homes though Good Dog during the pandemic. Partially continued success in 2022. It will be interesting to see what 2023 brings. The only really good prospect I have so far for my, hopefully, on the way litter who is a Good Dog applicant has been waiting for a puppy since 2021.
The positive vibes I felt at that time from the staff. I felt they were, truly, on a mission to help responsible heritage breeders.
When I signed up to GoodDog, I received a call from them asking me how I bred my dogs, where they stayed, where puppies would be kept, etc. I thought very good questions for potential client.

We had so much hope from getting a puppy to complete our family and what we got was absolute trauma. Our puppy passed away the same day as delivered to us by the breeder. She was so sick, weak and fragile that she barely walked or moved when she was delivered to us by the puppy nanny arranged by the breeder and died within hours of coming to us. We asked for health records and they were all made up and didn't show the real health of the puppy :( Be alert! Don't buy from good dog. It's been 5 days since we incurred this trauma and have no resolution from good dog- only asking us for multiple details but no action on breeder or no support to us. We are depressed dejected and so much in trauma to see a puppy die in hours coming to our arms
The good dog site is so easy to use and they respond quickly to answer questions. We found a fabulous local breeder and have put a deposit down on a litter that is due in April. I highly recommend this site for finding a new puppy/dog.

Great experience with Good Dog. They connected us with two Breeders for our two Aussies. They regualrly followed up to see how our search was going. The dogs (Sadie 1 1/.2 yrs old now; and the new pup, Bess) are wonderful. Two paws up from me!
We were duped into buying a Standard Poodle puppy with a tooth issue we specifically asked about due to it being common but not acceptable for the breed. We made sure to pay through Good Dog and they protected the lowlife breeder instead of us. We turned down a local honest breeder with beautiful dogs because of the same issue, which is how we were made aware of it in the first place. The local breeder crate trains and works with puppies daily which the good dog breeder obviously doesn't. The response was for us to drive the 3 hours to the airport and return the puppy we paid to fly to us. Unacceptable. Good Dog then harassed us and flagged our account so we were no longer able to send messages to the breeder of this, or any other, puppy. We ended up contacting another breeder by going directly to their website and learning they never got any of our messages. We kept the good dog puppy and love him very much.
Tip for consumers:
Don’t bother going through this site if you want a healthy puppy. Good Dog stands behind their ethically bankrupt breeders and flags or blocks customers so they can't send messages.

I purchased a puppy from one of their certified breeders and I had to admit him to the ICU the morning after we received him. He had severe parasites and 3 different bacterial infections that cost thousands of dollars to fix! Although the breeder did check in on his progress and is nice, did not even offer to help financially for something that she caused. Beware of this site! I would not consider my experience to be something that is a result of a responsible breeder. Although disgusting, I have attached an example of the parasites that came out of my puppy after his worming at the ICU visit. The vets were literally horrified!

Sarah the owner of Country Grove Breeder LLC. Was wonderful. All the pets she breeds appeared wonderfully cared for. Well bred. Clean and well kept areas where the dogs live. Just a amazing experience. Can tell she enjoys the dogs she raises. Cares about the homes she lets them go to.
Of all the breeding sites out there Good Dog proved to be the most reputable. A company that ensures to have only quality breeders with whom they associate with.
After loosing our black lab our family was left with a huge hole in our hearts! We met Camber and her family at the Mayfield farms who was so supportive in our quest to have Santa bring us a new puppy! We were so fortunate to secure not only one, but her litter mate too and we have had nothing but sheer pleasure integrating them into our home and welcomed Greta and Ruby.
Until we could get them, Camber was awesome at sending pictures, video clips and answering my texts until pick up. The whole family gets involved in rearing these puppies and they are extremely socialized by the time you get them!
I even got a wonderful Christmas pic that became my New Years card introducing our additions!
I would highly recommend Mayfield Farms to others and would definitely return myself! Received an awesome starter kit with everything to get started with your new puppy too.

I am so pleased with this site. Puppy buyers have all the information handy that would take me several messages to convey. Same for me as seller, I already have that valuable introduction to the puppy buyer. The people looking for puppies on Good Dog are serious. Payment through Good Dog seems to be okay. I advise my buyers that they have the option to not pay a sales fee. All has gone smoothly.

I already paid for my puppy. I have not picked her up because the breeder keeps changing pick up dates and times. She wants the dogs to be picked up at her house, which is 6 hours away one way. I have asked for pictures and she sent one video of the Vet Tech. At this point I do not even know if she really has puppies. With all the issues from this breeder I do NOT feel safe even picking up the puppies at her house. I have suggested a public place for pick up or at least close to the freeway. I have been ignored. Do Not pay for a dog unless you can physically see the dog and pay for it as they are handing you the puppy. At this time I just want my money back.

Where does one look for " the puppy of your dreams". All pups, even shelter pups in need of homes touch our hearts; but often you know what your very special breed of pup is for you. Easy to use... Found an excellent breeder... very authentic and honest... the site itself is nice to use because it helps keep your deposit safe... in my case that was $400... so that made me happy... there is some fees they charge but with the ampunt of breeders they support... the info they have... ans the fact the website worked flawlessly... i rate them a solid 8.5 out of 10 and i never give perfect reviews... so 9 out of 10 is really the highest i would go and has yet to happen. My ad was taken off GoodDog because their 'compliance team' deemed that I bred my female Morkie too early. Based on the AKC breeding age guidelines of not earlier than 8 months old, my female was 9 months old when bred. Although I do wait until the second heat, this little one escaped one day. Two buyers had placed deposits and others were considering buying a puppy. If this is a GoodDog policy, and it must be, it needs to be stated in their guidelines. I would hate for someone else to be placed in the awkward position in which I was placed.

Based on recommendations from canine reproductive veterinary specialists, our screening committee typically likes to see that Morkies and Yorkshire Terriers are allowed to mature to 12-18 months before being bred.

I was looking for a pure bread Yorkie that came from a good breeder/ home, and came across the site good dog. This is where I found Tammy from Puppy Love Castle. My tip is to make sure you have real contact information so you can speak with the breeder! If it's legit they will show real pictures videos and keep in contact with you.
I used to like good dog. Then they gave me a "random" audit. I am assuming brought on my a complaint from competitor. I literally sent them everything they asked for including vet reference paperwork where my vet confirmed I am taking all measures necessary to protect my puppies and take good care of them. Still they removed my page. Asked repeatedly why and never got an answer. I read all of the terms and conditions with all their policies and I was not in violation of anything, yet they wouldn't tell me why. What a joke, especially considering I had over 30K in puppy sales of which my puppy families paid them fees and now they have no guarantees. Quite irritating when I health test my dogs, spend thousands on importing them to the Us and there are puppy mills selling puppies on hood dog and other breeders that are lying about health testing results actively selling.
