I booked 2 tickets from South Africa to France on Air Algerie through Gotogate in about June 2024. Flight departing mid September. The flight was cancelled by the Airline on 17 August. Their refund policy stated 15 working days. This was 6 weeks ago and no refund has been received. The reason now given is that I was a "no show"! There are currently no Air Algerie flights to South Africa, so it would be difficult to be a "no show" if there are no aircraft! Gotogate keep fobbing me off with excuses. My advice - do not book through Gotogate if you want a refund if the airline cancels the flight. They should just be transparent and tell you upfront - no refunds on this flight for whatever reason. I am going to pursue this further.

I booked the flight with go to gate. But they didn't pay to flair full amount so they didn't let me board. When I called go to gate they said they requested a refund. But it's more than 3 months nothing yet. Whenever I try calling them they said they don't know how long it will take but they are still waiting from airline. Like seriously. I would never book with go to gate.

An error caught immediately after booking has costed me 45 per person handling fee and another 25 if you want to change the flight. Trying to get your money back through 3rd party is horrendous.
I have been trying to get a refund for over seven months. The email exchange with this company is really poor, as soon as they get your money they don't care about you. I am so sad to see these kinds of companies continue to abuse without any accountability. There should be an authority to stop them. I will continue to denounce this on all platforms. A very friendly advice, avoid them.

I have booked flexible tickets, when I requested to change them they send my request to "another" department requesting be to wait for their call.
After one month nobody has call me back. I have called them more than 15 times mentioning that I need to have my new tickets in order to extent my visa but nobody cares. The only reply is "we will call you". Although I have requested to speak to supervisor, they endured me that supervisor will call me but again nothing.

Well, the book processes a little confusing, Kitchener/Waterloo is not Toronto. Then you use the term Kitchener Lake? Lived in the area for 36 years, never heard the term. But I did manage by going by the call sign of YKF. This is how Customers make mistakes when they don't know. I would hope that you would make it easier.

I didn't look at the reviews, before I made the flight I thought it was better to pay the $90 fee to get my money back then the risk not having my flight or having problems. I read many many reviews and most of them were bad news, I had searched Airlink or the airline I wanted to take and thought I was on their site. Still it was worth paying $90 for peace of mind. Tried to call the no answer, tried to do your chat page. No response, took me several hours after I booked to cancel the flight kept giving me error messages.
This app didn't say I have to change airport
Only after I bought the ticket I found out that I have to go to another airport after my flight I would never chose it by my own. I am really disappointed I can't change it now very frustrated. Can't believe I trusted this app.

Worst ticket company I have ever worked with. Lots of hidden fees and crap customer service. They take forever to return calls and leave out important information. It ended up being $1568 per person when the original price was listed as $860. I couldn't get a refund either, only company credits.

And in a tactic just disconnected the call saying "This call is going no where". Infact the agent also insulted me saying "Am I kidding". I want to make sure no one else has this plight by making a booking through these guys. Be aware. While I made the booking it clearly states the baggage allowance that I am entitled to and in the back end GotoGate has booked a different fare type with a lower baggage allowance and the passenger needs to be pay the price for it. They refused to accept their error and just disconnected the call.
Tip for consumers:

I swear its not worth the few dollars you save. Here is my experience.
I booked a flight and tried to cancel with them a few hours later (under 24hr US law). They would not let me and said there would be no refund. I got on the phone with the actual airline (Air Europa) that was doing my flight and the airline told me that yes I can cancel and that I will receive a full refund. I three way called with the airline and GoToGate for almost an hour. The airline employee kept trying to get GoToGate to file the correct paperwork for my refund, or to contact their refund department so we could finalize it. GoToGate ended up not filing the refund correctly so I did not receive my full refund.
I ended up getting back less than 10% of my refund (taxes).
Whenever I have tried calling the airline (Air Europa) they tell me its GoToGates fault and that I must go through GoToGate. When I call GoToGate, you are speaking to an offshore support person who could care less and just tries as hard as they can to get you off the phone.
Do yourself a favor and DO NOT BOOK with them. If there are any changes to your plans, you are out of luck.
I lost $460 and learned a valuable lesson. Book direct with your airline!
