I booked 2 tickets from South Africa to France on Air Algerie through Gotogate in about June 2024. Flight departing mid September. The flight was cancelled by the Airline on 17 August. Their refund policy stated 15 working days. This was 6 weeks ago and no refund has been received. The reason now given is that I was a "no show"! There are currently no Air Algerie flights to South Africa, so it would be difficult to be a "no show" if there are no aircraft! Gotogate keep fobbing me off with excuses. My advice - do not book through Gotogate if you want a refund if the airline cancels the flight. They should just be transparent and tell you upfront - no refunds on this flight for whatever reason. I am going to pursue this further.
Within 20 mins of booking wrong flight I tried to cancel. Having major difficulties with customer service to cancel the wrong ticket and rebook.
Once they get your money they will not help you. Choose another agency I recommend.
After being redirected from Skyscanner, the site was in another language and I didn't see any option to change the language.
The search reset without notice and I had to restart it, the price being different this time.
Before paying, the price changed once again. This looks like a scam.
Tried to book on 2 different airlines through Gotogate. They try to sell you extras every step of the way and when I entered my card details to pay the price went up by over £200 so I aborted the transaction.
Avoid this scamming company at all cost.

I realized after purchasing airline tickets with GoToGate that I need to purchase additional services from GoToGate in order to receive SMS flight updates and booking. I paid 12.98 CAD for these SMS updates.
But my flight was canceled by airline a couple of days before the flight, and I was fully reimbursed for this by airline.
But guess what? GotoGate told me that all their additional services are non refundable.
Even if it was not me who canceled the flight. So, they take money, cancel service and reject reimbursement! What an excessive desire for money!

The person that used your service did so with a stolen credit number!
You emailed me but you will soon see that the service you provided will not be paid because it was with a stolen credit card number. Nelson is not my name and they are criminals that have stolen my credit card.
I tried using the confirmation number and email to check my booking details in order to get the reference number. Every time I enter the confirmation number I get asked to verify my email but it brings me back to the same page for checking your bookings. When I verify my email and enter my confirmation code again it gives me an error message saying "this service is temporarily unavailable". I need to the reference number in order to cancel my booking on the Norse Atlantic Airlines website.

You buy and then 10 choices of useless options. As a result I only use gotogate as my last option. Plus during covid you never reimbursed me a flight which was cancelled and I never forgave you for it. Thieves!

They lure you in with dishonest prices that include no bags, or seat reservations (e.g., to ensure your child is sitting with an adult family member), then charge your 100% of the airfare to have any luggage or seat reserved. Unsure if this is Norwegian Air, the carrier, doing this or Go To Gate, but there are dozens of up-charges for things that are free on other airlines (e.g., text confirmations, e-tickets, re-routing if flight change, etc.).

First, when I made the payment the screen shows payment failed. Then I went to another website to get the tickets, however, somehow Gotogate confirmed the order. So I reached out to the agent, I been waiting on phone for 4 hours and I'm just the 8th on the line. In what hell does 8 guests need 4 hours to wait, and the agent guy only talked to me within 2 minutes, telling me I need to wait for other teams. So he did not fixed my problem and shows no care about my case. Don't recommend to anyone!
Last time I used GoToGate my flight was cancelled by the airline company and nobody notified me, so I've had to book new tickets 1 day before the departure, with 2 times the initial price. It was a very bad experience.

Terrible experience! The information provided is misleading and unclear, making it impossible to trust this platform. The service is poor, and trying to get help over the phone is a nightmare—the operator is unprofessional and keeps making the same mistakes, clearly not knowing what she's doing. I will never use this platform again.
I asked for a refund after 10 mins of booking because of out of my control visa conditions. You charged me $44 for each person. Not fair! Those are were flexible tickets and I asked for a refund before you create tickets. You didn't send tickets to me. And you have to refund $88 more

Literally was checking out to buy 4 airline tickets and after I entered the credit card information and was waiting for the confirmation, the price magically increased $50 due to "high demand" for the flight. So fake & not true at all. No one is flying this route. So not likely to use this website again. Very dishonest & very bad experience.

Your website charged unreasonably and unethically high amount saying "HIGH DEMAND", I've rejected 1st attempt and started again the search and booking ticket, but there were too many available options and seats. Looks not such kind of false high demand.

Booked a flight with gotogate and canceled less than an hour later. I was told within 24 hours of canceling I'd receive a refund. However, when I spoke to customer service, they told me their team handles cancelation cases on a "first come first serve" basis, and that they may take more than 24 hours to handle my case. I did not receive a refund because of this. How is that a 24 hour cancelation policy? Why am I penalized because YOUR team took over 24 hours? Also good luck getting a hold of customer service during normal hours. An automated system will tell you that you're #68 in the queue. Do not book with gotogate!

This company is horrible. I booked a flight through them and they scammed me. At checkout, the total cost of the flight was $1,697.89 but when I pressed pay, it didn't go, I tried it about 3 times and it still didn't go through. I waited a bit and tried again, but this time, the amount they removed from my card was $2,679.18. Please keep in mind that the failed attempts were recorded by my credit card company and the money was returned almost immediately. I have called and messaged them and all their agents keep telling me that there is nothing they can do and that I have to pay hundreds of dollars to cancel my flight. I explained to them that it must have been a glitch in the system because I went to check the same flight after booking and total cost with all the charges was still $1,696.89. I have explained and keep explaining but they keep telling me there's nothing they can do. How on earth does that make sense, the worst part is that receipt shows that the taxes for a $1,697 flight is $1,164.89. How!? I want the difference back, I would like to agree to a price before paying not scammed or forced into paying. This is the reference code for my booking 1024-501-246.

Do not ever book with them. I booked an air Senegal through them on may 20th; flight got cancelled and I've been waiting for a refund for 3 months after the airline cancelled the flight. I've still not received the refund, instead they're telling me stories to contact the airline; which I did not book with, and when I do contact the airline, they're telling me they've already sent them a coupon for the refund. I will never use this agency. I recommend no one use them.

I hate being forced to pay to select a seat, as if standing is an option. This is inherent in purchasing a ticket. And then all of these trash fees. $4 to get an automated text? Give me a break.
Although, the price is competitive, there are so many steps to follow before purchasing the ticket.
The email confirmation doesn't include airline confirmation code, and it is making it difficult to manage the booking directly on the airline website.
I am not planning to use your website for future travel plan.

This is a fraud company, total scam! Don't ever book your air travel or any travel with them. They scam you out of your money. They cancelled my ticket on their own without asking me and no refund was provided, when I just asked them if a travel on different date was possible due to family emergency. DO NOT USE THIS SITE TO BOOK ANYTHING!
