I booked 2 tickets from South Africa to France on Air Algerie through Gotogate in about June 2024. Flight departing mid September. The flight was cancelled by the Airline on 17 August. Their refund policy stated 15 working days. This was 6 weeks ago and no refund has been received. The reason now given is that I was a "no show"! There are currently no Air Algerie flights to South Africa, so it would be difficult to be a "no show" if there are no aircraft! Gotogate keep fobbing me off with excuses. My advice - do not book through Gotogate if you want a refund if the airline cancels the flight. They should just be transparent and tell you upfront - no refunds on this flight for whatever reason. I am going to pursue this further.
There is no way you can cancel your ticket.i kept chatting in their app but nobody comes there to chat for tickets cancellation or other queries.their coustmer care number it connects but they can't hear us.i called 20 times but they say they can't hear me. Dont book from Gotogate
The experience was easy, I just wish the Seay prices weren't so high. The original price was 4 something then the final price was 690. Just wish it was cheaper but I'm grateful nonetheless
I paid extra to purchase a flexible ticket from Lisbon to NYC. When it came time to change my ticket date, I called the GotoGate call center 3 times. Each time the agent said it was not within their control to change the ticket and someone would call me back. But this never happened. I even confirmed the number with the agents twice.

The call wait times were also extremely long, often on hold for 1 hour or more. Their US number was also defunct/broken, had to use the Canadian number
They have a live chat where they lie to you that you can change your reservation. Good luck with that! If you try to call them you will be behind 40 "people" waiting in line to talk to someone. So expect to wait at least an hour. After talking to them 3 times (first two times they hung up on me) they told me they could change my flight time. Great! But i never got a confirmation email. Now its 3 days before my flight and I won't be able to change my flight to a later date and Im out $350
I have all the emails and documents to prove I am right and have a $1550 credit with an airline.
I've already spent $400 on long distance trying to talk to them but they keep telling me the same thing when they don't conveniently "disconnect".

We had to change a flight and despite having 7 days to do, Gotogate staff have been totally incapable of doing the change due to a rate not 'showing'. We ended up doing it directly with Philippines airlines who in return have extremely professional and efficient. Avoid gotogate if you think you might change plans, they are absolutely useless, I complained to Gotogate and never got any response whatsoever. They should not be allowed to operate at all.

Go with another company. Do not book with go to gate. They take no accountability for any flight related issues even with issuance. Their reps will do everything possible to avoid assisting you and will blame you for issues.
I purchased flights for Ukrainian refugees fleeing war. The airline incorrectly Informed them that a transfer country will not accept them, the following day they admitted that the information is incorrect. I pleaded with gotogate to reinstate their flights but was denied every time and directed elsewhere to no avail. They could care less about these people and that the issues is a result of airline error.
If you book with them and experience any issues, you will not be helped. You will be blamed and will need to purchase tickets again. Avoid the headache and take your business elsewhere.
I have never dealt with such a completely incompetent company as Go To Gate /Booking.com. I wish I'd looked at the online reviews before making a booking with them - heed all the warnings!

I paid £168 on our return flights to pre-book our seats, to keep a long story short, I received an email after noticing the seats had not been booked with the Airline, and was told there was a problem with their internal system and they were unable to book the seats and would issue a refund. They did but only for £84. This has been going on for nearly a month! At this rate I'll be going to the Ombudsman and/or my credit card to try and recover the money. I do not understand why it is so difficult to issue the rest of the refund. They are completely useless and I get told the same thing every time I call!
Booked ticket through Booking.com partner GotTogGate. Only option following a carrier schedule change was to cancel booking and flight. That was over one-month ago. Repeated calls, return receipt letter and more than one-month later, no update or refund. Im embarrassed for my stupidity in expecting this transaction be seamless.

If you are reading this review, it's probably too late and you have already been victimized by this chance internet promise of saving $10. In fact, the face savings may appear to be $10 or so, but one will end up loosing your sanity and more $$$.

Disgraceful service and daylight robbery. Even Qantas could not understand their lack of assistance with my request to them. Then charged me crazy fees to cancel my booking. Very annoyed. Stay away from them. Do not get tempted into thinking they will give you a good deal...
I was issued an open ticket to my returned trip when boarders of the destination closed and now being told that I can't use the voucher even though it's due to expire in Feb 2022. I have send so many messages via their web form but never received a confirmation or any response back. GoToGate is highly unlovable company. They should not be in the business as they are deceiving people and rob them. It's our hard earned money they are stealing away.
They are coming up different issues each time i speak with call centre staff. There's no email address to contact the support team behind the call centre staff as they don't travellers to contact them.
The lesson i've learnt ere is that not to trust any travel agent but book your flights direct with the airline.

Massively incompetent. I spent three weeks trying to make a small change with a booking. Spoke to at least 10 different staff members by phone and email and including the floor supervisors. Everyone blames everyone else or gives conflicting advice. Can't cancel an unrelated domestic flight that was made as part of a multi-stop international booking because "the outbound following flight will also be cancelled" with no attempt to identify who the party is that's cancelling this.
The airline was happy to cooperate if gotogate would contact them directly but gotogate didn't do this even after many times that they said that they would.

The man I spoke to today Raul Rao (apparently senior associate schedule change) does not know what his job description is. All he kept saying was ‘yes yes yes' and did not listen whatsoever. It's like talking to a wall or worse. A wall would probably show more empathy.
Will never use gotogate because of the constant misleading information I was being fed. Wasted my time calling and emailing.
Strongly advise you never, ever buy flight tickets from this company. Their customer service is utterly atrocious, and they are clearly engaging in fraudulent practices. When I attempted to change my ticket, they quoted me a staggering $7000, even though purchasing a brand new ticket would have only cost me $1200. I contacted multiple agents to resolve the issue, but each gave me the same exorbitant price. When I asked for the issue to be escalated, they completely ignored my request. I cannot stress enough how important it is to avoid this company at all costs. Please don't fall into their trap and risk being taken advantage of like I was.

Firstly legally the price has to be shown before charging in a clear format. It isn't. They add on extra charges without asking. Secondly it is not legal to charge extra for paying by credit card. They do that too.

Booked flights to Bali last year, flight were cancelled over six months ago and Gotogate still has not returned my money. Have been chasing them up for over six months. Their contact number does not work, they ignore written requests, and do not actually respond to my emails - it's always a generic "Dear Sir/or Madam... delays... airlines... rest assured". It's been the same messaging for months and months, which gives me the impression that this organisation is a scam. I paid for the "premium" service - imagine what the normal level of service is like. Have now got my bank involved. Clearly Gotogate is writing favourable reviews to try and keep things in balance on these sites. Will continue persisting to chase up the refund.

I exchanged about 7 emails with customer service, each time less helpful than the last. Ultimately I ended up just letting them "win" without receiving any refund or credit back because I was so exhausted by the whole process. I knew I shouldn't have purchased airline tickets through go-to-gate but now I will ensure I really never do again. Go straight through the airline - it's very likely that gotogate won't honor the purchase policies and you'll lose all money should something go wrong.
I had a problem with flight, it was rechedule, so I wanted to return my money, and this damn company didn't want to make full refund. They speak only over chat. They provide phone number that don't work.
The worst chat based customer service. I had one person completely starting chatting me in Russian. I had to speak to 20 or more agents to finally get my issue resolved and I'm still not sure if it is being refunded. The website gave me an error along with my Apple pay but it went thru both times. I would answer questions and they would ask me directly after the same thing I already answered them. Terrible customer service!
