I booked 2 tickets from South Africa to France on Air Algerie through Gotogate in about June 2024. Flight departing mid September. The flight was cancelled by the Airline on 17 August. Their refund policy stated 15 working days. This was 6 weeks ago and no refund has been received. The reason now given is that I was a "no show"! There are currently no Air Algerie flights to South Africa, so it would be difficult to be a "no show" if there are no aircraft! Gotogate keep fobbing me off with excuses. My advice - do not book through Gotogate if you want a refund if the airline cancels the flight. They should just be transparent and tell you upfront - no refunds on this flight for whatever reason. I am going to pursue this further.
Despite checking several times one traveler's name was completely wrong. Didn't had the confirmation mail and tickets till next day only to realise the name is wrong. Airline said it's possible from the ticket provider but go to gate will not change anything! All money lost!. Awful service
I had my return flights booked through Go to gate for my holiday December 2021. During my holiday, I had been informed that my return was cancelled. So I started to chase if I could get the alternative arranged or the refund made. Their response was so slow (usually would take 3-4 days or even had to send them multiple emails to get their response), nothing confirmed then I had to arrange my own separate booking of flights to return back to AUS.
After returning back, I chased for refund. Same slow, vague responses continued... They tell to contact in the number in web site. There is no easy way to find the contact number first. The number they have goes to Automatic response and tells you to go to website. I've not been ale to speak to anyone yet other than emails.
Here, it's July 2023, I'm still chasing a solution to this.

This is absolutely the most terrible company I have ever dealt with! I organised a trip for 10 people to Amsterdam and unfortunately one of the party died unexpectedly. The airline offered a full refund - but I had to claim it through Gotogate - who never passed it on, so are either that inept they cannot process a basic refund or are criminals and stole my money. Stay as far away as possible!
This is a scam, I had to wait for more than 2 hours on the phone to learn that they cant refund my money even though the flights were cancelled by the airlines. Then one guy said he can process my refund with a $55 charge but I am still waiting for over $1000. Authorities should take action to delist these fraudulent companies

Purchased flights to Bali late last year - flights were cancelled and have been chasing up refund for over 5 months now. Keep sending me generic responses or ignoring my request, saying the airline has denied the refund request. Do not use.
This company does not respond to emails or phone calls and if you do eventually get a response they are extremely rude and unhelpful. They simply steal your money. Buyers beware book through the official site and do not deal with Gotogate. Would give negative star rating if I could

Please for peace of mind do not use this company. When things are going right, no one really cares. It's when things are going wrong that you need someone to listen to you. I booked 8 business class seats for long haul. The airline cancelled the flights, and I was not informed. I had paid extra for seat reservations and one flexi ticket. They have refused to refund these despite none of this being our fault. I wish I had checked their reviews before booking with them. Their Indian call centre passes you from pillar to post and eventually refuse.
I am giving one star just because they sell tickets in low price. I cancelled my flight before 24 hours and the spirit airlines refunded the money back to them. But they denied me to give me the refund and said that they would charge cancellation fee which is exactly the amount i paid for my tickets. These are bull$#*! scammers out here. I would rather pay more expensive prices for flights but never ever book with goto gate. I am a first time customer and I totally hate this.

Gotogate changed my flight without consent after I'd booked. I booked a day time trip of 1.5 hours and they changed it to a night trip in two parts with no time between the two flights to collect and transfer baggage. When I rang they did the not uncommon thing of putting me on hold and then leaving me until it cut off. When I emailed the reply came that they would try to respond within 18 days. In my opinion there is something worse than incompetent about this operation. Avoid at all costs.
Who regulates this company? I had trouble obtaining some kind of solution for my cancelled flight back in March and was eventually informed that I would be entitled to a travel voucher to re-book my flight. No actual voucher has been issued (this would have been the easiest and most sensible arrangement) and I have been informed that I have to ring Gotogate to arrange my new flight. I've done this twice now (after numerous other attempts when I got fed up of being on hold) and both times I've been told "their systems are down"! How convenient! They obviously have no intention of honouring my re-book. I have received money back from the other elements of my holiday so why is this so difficult? If anyone knows how this company can be taken to task on their shoddy practices please let me know. Thank you.
Spent 3 days trying to get thru to their Customer Service team in London. A single phone number which is permanently engaged. Never never again will I deal with this company. Ended up ringing the airline direct at $3.00 / minute and spending 22 minutes trying to get help only to be told I had to go back to gate.
Absolutely terrible customer service. They have had weeks to deal with a simple change & have now left it too late despite me chasing daily over the last week. They will tell you the request has been prioritised & marked as urgent & that someone will call you back but I never received a call from them, I always had to chase. I can't believe a company like this is still allowed to trade. Save yourself the hassle & book elsewhere!
Had technical problems with their baggage system so my parents had to pay an additional 60 euros for their luggage. No refund offered and appalling service via email and call centre advisors. Don't use!

Terrible experience, both the outbound and return flights were cancelled, bad customer experience and they refused to provide an adequate refund for a completely cancelled service. I was unable to fly to my destination despite ensuring that I did everything correctly and without error. Looking at their other ratings online, both on SiteJabber and TrustPilot, I should have never used them in the first place.

I asked an operator to cancel my ticket because of the problem with my son's travel document and she said that they could not do anything. Then I asked to change my ticket or refund money, but they refused to help me. That day I was in a very difficult situation with my seven months old baby, but none of the members of the company did care. They don't work at all. No, not at all, this agent charges more than what price is coated on their web site. I have booked 2 tickets from delhi to london, on payment page it shown Rs. ******* but when payment is made, they charged to my debit card ******* which is completely rip off. When talked with Customer Service, they said that we only charged ******* and rest may be charged by Bank. On bank statement it clearly indicated that payment is made to GOTOGATE.

Avoid by all means. If flight works as plan, you got a cheaper price, if something happens to your flight, like the airline cancels it, the Go to gate customer service is non-existent and you will not get any support or your money back. It is a total scam.
Even if paying much more, I will be always booking directly with the airlines, never ever through an agent.
In the post-Corona times, when all flights are uncertain, booking though an agent and Go to gate in particular will bring you no benefit, as travellers have no rights in this case.
The biggest scam of all! They literally charged me 1400$ for nonexistent flight.
After confirming that the money is gonna be refunded back and that I should just go ahead and book a different flight because apparently the first one was a bust.

I wont never book a flight here anymore. Customer Service Agent will give you fake name and no Employee ID. You tell them your problem and never resolve your the problem. This Travel Company email me and asked us, if we can change my family flight early due the Qatar Airlines request. Promise us, if we dont want to take the early flight and l get my refund. So we decided to cancelled our trip. Gotogate email us that our refunds will be put back 6 days to the credit cards we used. After 2 weeks of waiting, l called them and Customer Service never give me an answer to resolve my problem and keep transferring, put me in hold, and want to end the call. L lost $5,910 but l hope l can help other travelers to be careful with this travel Company. This Company will scammed you just like happened to us.
