I booked 2 tickets from South Africa to France on Air Algerie through Gotogate in about June 2024. Flight departing mid September. The flight was cancelled by the Airline on 17 August. Their refund policy stated 15 working days. This was 6 weeks ago and no refund has been received. The reason now given is that I was a "no show"! There are currently no Air Algerie flights to South Africa, so it would be difficult to be a "no show" if there are no aircraft! Gotogate keep fobbing me off with excuses. My advice - do not book through Gotogate if you want a refund if the airline cancels the flight. They should just be transparent and tell you upfront - no refunds on this flight for whatever reason. I am going to pursue this further.
Tried multiple times to contact this bogus agency. E-mails and phone calls but no success. Why book flights and take money from customers if you won't refund if the flight gets cancelled?

When covid hit WA we could not get in touch with them to sort a credit or refund. Now I have noticed they don't even have an email to contact them (2 yrs later). I would be very careful if you use Gotogate. No customer service, no refund or credit just took our money and ran.
I have tried to get a ticket on gotogate, but whilst my credit card was authorised, I never get a file reference or an email confirmation. I contacted the customer service who confirmed they have no file for me and will not use the credit card. They actually took the money the day after and now stay silent. Real thieves.
Booked my flight on Friday and paid about 3K. Saturday morning they send me an email saying that they can not issue my tickets and they have sent an email about refunds. NO, they have not! I tried to call the customer service and after 5 failed attempts and hours and hours of wait, the lady on the phone says she can't help me because her system is not working (very rude!).
No response to the emails either.
I don't know when I will get refunds. I need to book my flights and I can not do this because you SCAMMERS are holding my money.
I am going to write these reviews in every available online forum to at least make everyone aware that gotogate is a SCAM and never ever do business with them.

Please please do not use this company. I booked a flight which i thought it would be $607 but with all the fees came out to $1213. Of course i wanted a refund. It took me literally a month but i finally got my refund. I will never and life use this site again. Please don't waste your time either.
Took our money for our tickets but never payed Lynx airline so our flights were cancelled with no notice. Do not recommend this company Get all the way to the airport to find out flights were cancelled

Scam! Lost so much money using them and they were no help at all, he literally put me on hold or muted me while I was talking And wouldn't respond $900 worth of tickets for me and my kids to get home out the door, oh and the insurance a scam too!
If there is less than 1 star i will give... i lost my ticket because of thier call center agents,,, more than 40 mins to answer the calls,,, when they send me confirmation about the refund they change the amont again... very bad experience
They might change a price right after showing it on a meta search engine or simply change stops for a flight you just selected due to unavailability. During a majority of the booking process, you will not see the exact flights "you" chose like on many other sites but only show you the start and final destination. This makes it harder for you to spot an obvious mistake. The confirmation also just contains a link, so not even there you will see your exact flight details directly.
So, while they are not criminals in a legal sense (as far as I know), they use every trick in the book to deceive you (I book maybe 7-10 flights a year so I am no stranger to correctly booking flights). And once done, it is very likely that even after several calls and mails, you will get no answer from them. Of course, I do not only blame them but also myself - for not immediately blacklisting them after the first red flag.

How to begin. I have called multiple times trying to get a COVID ticket cancellation credit but they have no one staffing the phone lines as I am always on hold for over 2 hours and once they do answer I have literally been dropped by an agent over 50%. When they drop me do they call back? Of course not. If you try to send an e-mail instead of spending hours on hold from their site it never works all you get is an undefined error message.
After you miraculously get an agent who does not drop you they actively refuse to send any e-mail documentation on anything so there is no trail of their incompetence. This ticket is over a $1,000 so I keep trying but I feel they are basically thieves and really could care less.
Don't even consider using this company they are horrible!

I have booked several flights where I believe the airlines have refunded this agent. They however will not process this refund back to me. This has been going on for months now and no sign of a refund. I believe they are a dishonest organisation, not at all customer friendly and I would not recommend using this company. I would give zero stars if I could. One star seems too good for this company:-(
Avoid at all cost! Terrible customer service, can not possibly be more rude. I was forced to re-book a flight during pandemic, as I wasn't given the option to have an open ticket, had to pay more than twice the price of the initial flight. This is just robbery. Never had issue with other companies.

Purchased flexible tickets. Call customer service for a earlier flight. It sounded like a call center in India. Hard to understand. The rep said she would call the airline and call me back. She never called back. Just a rip off.

I booked a flight with baggage and found upon arrival at the airport that the baggage was not included in my booking. I called Gotogate from the airport and was directed to purchase the bags and they would refund me. I have called them dozens of times and they only refunded me the amount that I originally paid for the bags and not the premium I had to pay at the airport. The difference was about $500. They kept telling me when I called that they would have someone call me back in a set period of time (48 hours, 3 days, etc.) and all but one time that wasn't the case. This company is run by call centers in India and their services are absolutely horrible. Pay the little extra to stay away from scam companies like Gotogate!
First time also the last time, I've bought tickets but go go gate wrote my name wrong on tickets, they've asked to pay more for correct their mistakes. Each time sends useless emails with different name and just try not refund money even I've bought tickets cancellation insurance.
What a terrible agent, I don't like go to gate, but I need my money back.

How can it take Jet2 4 days to refund me but Gotogate can't manage it in 15 months waiting for a call back from a manager but I highly doubt it will happen. Please don't use this website.The hidden fees will get you. They give you the cheapest option at first, but by the time you go to the check out they charge you the same as other outlets. Did I mention their hidden fees will get you. I got a full refund though the airlines when I cancelled my flight, but gotogate charged me $75 "Processing fee"
By the way they don't have a disputes department. Whoever the outsourced agent you talk to is on the phone is all who you will get.

Go to gate is fill with liars and thieves who will lie to you with every breath they take. We should get a lawyer and file a class action lawsuit against this scam company and shut it down. Someone stole my card information and booked a flight from indonesia and I called the company to reverse the charge and I had to spend a month with my card provider telling me to resolve with these scammers. These people only try to lie to you to waste your time and hope you give up. If someone is up for a class action lawsuit I'm definitely interested. Bury these scammers
