I booked 2 tickets from South Africa to France on Air Algerie through Gotogate in about June 2024. Flight departing mid September. The flight was cancelled by the Airline on 17 August. Their refund policy stated 15 working days. This was 6 weeks ago and no refund has been received. The reason now given is that I was a "no show"! There are currently no Air Algerie flights to South Africa, so it would be difficult to be a "no show" if there are no aircraft! Gotogate keep fobbing me off with excuses. My advice - do not book through Gotogate if you want a refund if the airline cancels the flight. They should just be transparent and tell you upfront - no refunds on this flight for whatever reason. I am going to pursue this further.

I booked a flight the flight was canceled two times by the airline and gotogate was of zero help, I have been offered credit to flight again with the same airline that made a mess out of my travel. Im done will never fly with that airline again and will never book with gotogate!

This is the #1 worst company ever! Terrible customer service! How come this company exist on earth? Only dumbs and unprofessional s work at this place (not even worth to call a company). Purchased a flex tkt allowing me for changes and still they want to charge 1k per passenger! The explanation was total non sense. These ppl are terrible! Stay away from GoToGate! Due to medical emergncy me and my wife couldnt travel and even if we submitted the proof they cancelled the open ticket for us and cant provide us a refund too. Told them it was a geninie reason and keep the ticket open but no one does anything.
Never ever book tickets from this agency. They dont actually understand customer sentiments or care for customers. They just keep on saying they are checking and checking once you get tired and forget about it.

They are crooks. My flight to Italy was cancelled and the airline refunded my fees to the "credit card on file" which actually is Go To Gate's credit card since it was booked through them and they charged me as a third party. Go to Gate will not return my refund to me!
You buy insurance from another company and then you want to cancel they start directing you to that other company and you have to show proof why you want to cancel

Do not book with this company. They have scammed thousands of customers. Staff are robots and useless, executives steal our monies and not provide tickets for travel. File your complaint with the government agencies: internet crime IC3 with FBI, Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services.
Flight was cancelled by airline because of CornaVirus. Two months later gotogate is refusing to give a refund stating they haven't got money back from airline. Called airline and gotogate was refunded the money less than twenty four hours after cancellation. That was six weeks ago! Gotogate now won't answer emails and after waiting two hours on hold was told there is nothing they can do as they operate under European Union rule which give zero protection to consumers. SCAM SCAM SCAM!
This is a scam company. After giving them my information for a flight, they scammed me out of an additional $493 flight I never booked. Stay far away from this company. They offer what seems to be a deal, then they screw you over.

It's the worst agency ever and the worst experience I've had so far. They sent me an email the day before my flight confirming my flight, I then checked with the airline company and the flight had been cancelled A WEEK before! They never notified me and when I called they didn't know what to say. Their English is terrible, I had to call 10 times and they didn't re book any flight for me nor gave me a refund. I'm going to fight as much as I can, i already cancelled the transaction through my credit card and called the credit card company, they are on my side and will help me as much as they can. This agency is just terrible, I don't know how they are still operating. It's a shame!

Having no choice we had to cancel the tickets but Gotogate does not take responsibility. They do not return the money and still charge 250 shekels cancellation fee per passenger when the responsibility is theirs!
Terrible. Booked a $1,700 flight on Spirit through booking.com. Transferred somehow to Go to Gate...Flight changed by 14 hours. Tried to cancel through Spirit...They told me they couldn't credit because the flight was booked on a different credit card and I didn't have the last 4 digits (CC or Go to Gate). I have called Go to Gate several times. They repeat the same things over and over again with no real solution. Call is escalated. They also keep telling me to call the airline of which I have 3 times, but Spirit tells me the refund has to be processed through Go to Gate! My next step is to report to my credit card company in hopes they will refund my money. I don't know how booking.com could transfer my booking to this company? Bad all around.
Made a booking (KHE3FL) for my son, after payment is done they just give a sh*t about anything else. Trying to enter booking with correct code, not working. Log in with registered email, not working, sending email, returned as not delivered with error message - from GotoGate!. Sending email, no response. If you want to save stress and trouble, just run far away from anything to do with GoToGate.

But it's impossible to get them prior getting to airport. So if you enjoy getting to airport 3-4 hours early for your flight to do everything that you would have done on your phone to get your boarding pass and upload COVID docs etc. throw that idea out the window and just go to airport at least you won't waste your time twice.

In December 2019 we purchased tickets to Ireland for October 2020 flying Air Portugal. We received an email stating the flight was cancelled due to COVID. Air Portugal states the flight is not cancelled. Gotogate says the refund vouchers have been submitted to the airline. My travel partners called customer service on 10/12/2020 within 5 minutes of my call. She was told that she would receive her refund to her credit card withing 45 days. I was told I would receive mine in 3 to 5 months. I will be filing complaints with every agency I can find to take the complaint.
Ones they get your money, you will never hear from them! That are big scammers! They will make reservations for you that's it! You will never be able to change your flight or cancel or get additional services you paid for. All their phone numbers are fake and they don't respond to emails. SCAM!
Booked a flexible ticket at +200$ extra per person.
Asked to change travel dates and despite the fact that the website showed the exact same flight available at the exact same price was told charges per person would exceed 750$ (more than the actual ticket price) per person.
Stay away from gotogate.
I had a dreadful experience with GoToGate during the pandemic when they refused to refund flights from Japan to Australia. I was fortunate my credit card insurance covered what GoToGate should have paid, and i vowed to never use the company again.
I booked return flights from Seattle to Bozeman on booking.com -- a company I have used a lot, and have found to be reliable. They used GoToGate to book the flights. I had to change the flight time of one of the flights, but having bought a flexible ticket, and having looked online, saw that there should be no charge for changing my flight. GoToGate charged me £45 / ticket. Explanation made no sense. Do not use, and i suggest be careful in booking flights through booking.com unless you are sure they are not using GoToGate which is disreputable company that should be shut down.

It doesn't matter if this site offers a $5,000 discount. Don't do it. I selected a flight, in the middle of the process, it jumped to another completely unacceptable flight, and booked it. 1 hour after the fact, i tried to change/cancel, i was informed that it was not possible
I bought a ticket and unfortunately my mother became sick with COVID-19 and cannot travel, I explained the situation and even then they charged me half the amount I had paid on the travel ticket. They have abusive policies that only benefit them and have no respect for your money. I strongly advise anyone not to buy tickets at this company
Absolutely horrible. Can you give zero scores. Beware! We bought a flexible tickets and then needed to change the flight. They said it was only flexible for +- 3 days. It was not written clearly! That is not exactly flexible! Anyways, fine, what is the charge to change one leg of the flight?--- $6000 dollars a person! To rebook the entire flight on our own is only $1200 a person. Please don't use this company. Even to find out the $6k charge took four phone calls, over an hour on the phone each time. IT IS A SCAM! Awful. Shameful, Incompetent. INFURIATING.

We bought an international flexible flight. The flexibility to change one leg of the flight was quoted by them at $6k. To book the entire round trip ticket on our own (again) would have been $1200
I bought a ticket through them. I received the confirmation and the receipt. When I showed up to the airport, was told that my ticket did not work. Called Gotogate who refused to help. Ended up having to purchase a last second ticket which was worth 4x the price of the original I had paid Gotogate. Meanwhile, I've waited 2 months with no response from Gotogate, no refund for the ticket I paid them or for the last second ticket I had to purchase due to their ticket not working. I've gotten a hold of Gotogate on the phone multiple times but they refuse to transfer me to a manager. They keep telling me they will call back in a few days but never do. They have not responded to my online complaint or my emails either.
Total scam. Would highly discourage.
This so called agency which is in fact located in India that provides service in accordance with their local traditions, is a pure nightmare. After being on hold for nearly two hours I was told by a phone rep to hurry up since there is a lot of people waiting. The most disturbing part is that in the middle of a global pandemic they have the nerve to charge you $30 for a ticket change, not because you choose to do so, but because the airline has cancelled the flight and there is a need of rebooking. The price difference isn't much with Expadia or Orbitz, so give yourself a favor and deal with decent people. At the end of the day you will end up paying more plus wasting your nerves with these scumbags.
