I booked 2 tickets from South Africa to France on Air Algerie through Gotogate in about June 2024. Flight departing mid September. The flight was cancelled by the Airline on 17 August. Their refund policy stated 15 working days. This was 6 weeks ago and no refund has been received. The reason now given is that I was a "no show"! There are currently no Air Algerie flights to South Africa, so it would be difficult to be a "no show" if there are no aircraft! Gotogate keep fobbing me off with excuses. My advice - do not book through Gotogate if you want a refund if the airline cancels the flight. They should just be transparent and tell you upfront - no refunds on this flight for whatever reason. I am going to pursue this further.
Stay far away from Gotogate. After a malfunction in their payment page lead me to double book, I called them to cancel the extra booking, was assured it would be canceled and I would be fully refunded, and I would be notified via email when the cancellation was complete. Called again 2 days later, got the same reply. A week has gone by with no cancellation, no refund and no notification. After calling again and asking to speak with a supervisor, I was put on hold for ten minutes, and then promised to receive a cancellation notification within 48 hours. Well guess what, 48 hours have passed and they have yet to cancel my booking. I am now in the process of disputing my payment through my credit company. Do yourselves a favor and use another agency when booking flights.
I am traveling with my fiancee to Thailand. We suddenly get separated and put on 2 different flights. They have had 4 weeks to sort the issue but failed to do so. They told us to telephone them to get the situation resolved. I was 99 in the queue. 3 hrs later we got through to a useless Asian customer service advisor who put us through to a department that could help. Would you believe we are back to 66 in the queue. A further 4hrs and 15 mins later we get through only to be told by another rude Asian with bad english that they cant do anything.
To add to the insult. I paid for a window seat and they moved me to an isle seat but wouldnt refund me.
The worst run travel agency ever. Do not use these idiots. I wouldnt even give them one star

Massively incompetent. Zero star. Stay away. I spent 2 weeks trying to cancel my fly or change with a booking. Spoke to at least 8 different staff members by phone and email and including the floor supervisors. Everyone blames everyone else or gives conflicting advice. Cant cancel fly to miami. Lost my money. They told me to contact the company i was going to fly with. I contact the airline to cancel the fly. The airline told me is not problem to cancel but gotogate need to contact they no my self.
The airline was happy to cooperate if gotogate would contact them directly but gotogate didn't do this even after many times that they said that they would.

Don't use this company. Very bad service and expensive. If you want changes you are forced to go via gotogate and this cost a lot more then directly via the airline itself. You pay extra is you want help, so extra payment for almost no service. Furthermore it takes on average 1h if you want to speak the help desk which you need to contact because they never answer to mails. Even on review websites they send automated response messages. Check the reviews on reviewwebsites before using them.

About a year and a half ago, a friend and I bought 2 flights. A few days before leaving, they inform us that the flight plan has changed and they do not support us. This forces us to buy two other obviously more expensive flights. Upon returning from the trip, we turn to a lawyer and undertake a legal procedure that ends with a sentence in our favor. We have sent the executive sentence but to date no one has yet replied to us, furthermore, of the three email addresses we hold, two do not exist.
By far the worst company ever! My flight changed they did not inform me and did not want to refund me and I had to call the airline myself and fighting for my refund now! How can i book my flight with you and you dont update mme that it changed so i missed my flight and then you say its not your problem? What joke!

GotoGate charge me SGD99.94 just to use my visa debit card! Then on top of that, when my bank statement came, I was charged an extra SGD21.03 from the amount shown on GotoGate bill. I think it is the conversion. If it is the conversion difference, Gotogate should say something about it clearly!

The worst service ever. The flight was cancelled by the airline, they refunded the full amount. Goto gate kept my money and did not refund, I was on hold for 3 hrs with customer service and was told that they would deduct half my flight charge for refund processing!
I had change in flights, i had to handle by myself, I asked them to handle a refund from airline, they kept wasting my time by saying contact us over the phone as they cannot communicate by email, and they want me to call them an international call, just cause there are other teams in their company handling such situation. I requested several times that I have nothing to do with their internal communication, however, they kept sending the same response and ignoring my feedback, and did not process my refund, and i cannot do it direclty as airline deals only with whom booked the ticket.
I wish I had read the reviews before I booked a flight with them. They said the airlines cancelled the flight and there was no options to re-schedule. They were able to reschedule the flight to another city, for a change fee of nearly $700 and I had to book another flight just to get to my destination. Another $600. Their customer services agents are barely understandable. I would walk whatever distance before I would ever use them again. Read all of the reviews and you will understand my displeasure.

I have just found out that I have cancer. I wrote to gotogate to explain this and that i needed to cancel my flight in Australia. Their response was: "Dear Sir/Madam, Thank you for your email.We have received your request that you wish to cancel your booking. We are always required to follow the airline rules for the ticket(s) that you have booked through us. In this case, according to the rules set out by the airline it is not possible to get a refund of your booking in case of cancellation. Please note that your booking has not been cancelled yet. We ask you to get back to us and confirm if you would like our assistance with the cancellation by replying to this email. I have just had the worst experience trying to change a booking. I was quoted £375 to change my flight and that I would be sent a link to make my payment. I was told to call back after I paid. I did as was advised only to be told that I had to pay an extra £55 for no explicable reason. I asked to speak to an advisor who was in a word "useless" I requested a refund of my payment and could not make my change. Stay away they're dishonest
Don't ever trust this company! I booked a flight via gotogate with wizzair from London to Vienna. Wizzair cancelled my flight 3 days before and never got informed by Wizzair or Gotogate. I've been trying for weeks to contact gotogate to get a refund, they never answered my cas. Once the answered and hanged off the phone! They even said that I have to pay 30 application fee of I want to get a refund for my ticket. I've been traveling for years and gotogate is by far the worst company I've ever used
Whatever you do not purchase a plane ticket from this ticket scalper. I purchased a ticker for my sister almost $7k and had to cancel due to illness. I received a refund, however the company kept $1337 out of the purchase ticket. If it means going by boat or by bus do that as they charge you Premium and in the end you will not get a full refund, very deceitful company, hence the low review from others. Save your money and buy ticker somewhere else.
I am going to make it my personal mission to get this company removed and taken down. I will use my legal department to sue them for all the horrible customer service, scams and lies. They have one of the worse customer services I have ever seen. They lie to you when you contact them and intentionally don't complete some of the bookings online and tell you things like it is in a pending state. Wait a 72 hours and it will send confirmation. If you wait any period of time and call them especially if it is on a holiday, their answer is it didn't go through you can rebook, knowing that they have raised the rate at least 60 dollars. And it is an endless loop. Complete incompetent Customer Service!

I booked a flight through Cape Air through GOTOGATE. Cape Air had to cancel my flights because of unforeseen events. Cape Air customer support was very helpful and easy to understand the directions they gave me. GOTOGATE, however, was terrible. I was on the phone with them forever and they were unclear about what I needed to do. When they finally found out how to issue my refund, they were charging me a 60.00 (USD) handling fee for being an intermediary. I don't know about other people, but that seems like a steep price to pay when the airline claims that GOTOGATE doesn't even transfer the funds over to them until the flights happen. No flights happen, no money transferred over.
Even if it costs a few extra dollars to book your flight directly through the airline, I would recommend that. GOTOGATE isn't worth the headache or the corrupt handling fee charges.
You can book flights but if you try to contact them it is impossible. So you wont be able to make changes or cancel flights my grand mother is 102 and trying to cancel a flight due to corona virus and looks like we are gonna lose the $2k in flights

I had booked my ticket with them and the airline cancelled the flight due to weather conditions. I called the airline and they refunded the amount to the payment on file which is GOTOGATE. I have called several times but they say that they received the refund but cannot see the amount. I am still waiting. I will never again book tickets through them.
