I booked 2 tickets from South Africa to France on Air Algerie through Gotogate in about June 2024. Flight departing mid September. The flight was cancelled by the Airline on 17 August. Their refund policy stated 15 working days. This was 6 weeks ago and no refund has been received. The reason now given is that I was a "no show"! There are currently no Air Algerie flights to South Africa, so it would be difficult to be a "no show" if there are no aircraft! Gotogate keep fobbing me off with excuses. My advice - do not book through Gotogate if you want a refund if the airline cancels the flight. They should just be transparent and tell you upfront - no refunds on this flight for whatever reason. I am going to pursue this further.
If I could give this service zero stars I would. You get a booking number and that's IT. The airline doesn't contact you to check in the day before, so you have to remember to do it yourself, and then you will realize that you were NEVER sent a confirmation number, only a booking number. You will enter your booking number because, hey, that's all you were given, and then told that this number doesn't work. You then will have to call the airline, give them all your information, and they will give you the confirmation number. And if you have to add a pet, as I did, it will not reflect in your reservation until you are at the airport, sweating, hoping you can get your pet on board. This site is AWFUL.
On 12/07/2022 I ordered 4 plane tickets to Romania through the GOTOGATE website, the
First order I did not receive confirmation, the computer was stuck for a long time, so I started everything from the beginning and made a second payment. When I returned from Romania I discovered on my credit card that I had been charged for both ticket orders. Since the names and flight details are the same in both orders, I contacted GOTOGATE to credit me for the double order!
GOTOGATE did not agree to help and I contacted the airline directly which credited GOTOGATE with 4,636 ILS, after many inquiries and months of waiting, GOTOGATE returned me only about 2,700 ILS.
I am turning to you for help in returning the remaining money.
This company is using COVID as an excuse to not help. Their website bait and switched me to different flights, and they didn't provide a refund. Assistance is very hard to find on website, and when you do find it, expect a long wait.

Awful Awful service. Booked a flight from Sydney to London through Gotogate, showed up at the airport only to find out my flight had been changed and moved 24h earlier! So was told I had missed it and had to take another flight. Gotogate approved the change with the airline WITHOUT my knowledge and then didn't tell me about it. On top of that they wouldn't help me get back to London, and when I complained they put me on hold for hours until I hang up, gave me an email address to register my complaint that said I had to fill out a customer form and never provided me with the customer form. Gotogate is useless, and won't lift a finger for you once they have your money

Needed to cancel a flight due to Covid. My experience: excruciating long wait times; dropped calls; difficult to hear. But it gets worse: bought a premium service a suite of services that included the ability to cancel or change flights at no charge: Did not refund: baggage service - for a flight I will not take; or 'text messages' for messages that I did not receive for a flight not taken, etc. Said they processed a cancelled with the airline but could not tell me how much. Asked them when I will get me refund and they refused to give me a time frame of when I would get it back. Extremely worried that they will keep it.
After providing me with a voucher for cancelled flight due to COVID, this voucher is a scam!
They asked me to pay another 180 euros on top of the voucher as 'extra costs', then they send me and email that the order is unable to confirm, but they did take 180 euros from my account. Customer service is no help... they tell me to email but no response on the email. After the fake voucher (580 euros) they stole another 180 euros... Go to gate are frauds! Don't ever book with them.

Had a horrible experience dealing with customer care. The reps were extremely rude and disrespectful. The rude rep I talked to was Susheel Singh (Atleast thats what he said his name was). Provided zero help. I finally cancelled my ticket and booked a new one with the airline directly.
They will change your reservation date to a different date when you click to confirm. They will show you with lower to book it for the date you want with the price but it will show a different date after you book it, and you will have a nightmare to change it later, impossible!. You will also talk very rude impatient indian service rep after you paid it.

I recommend not buying any tickets through this website. They are not helpful at all! I had missed my flight due to airline staff and instead of GoToGate helping me get another flight without charge they referred me elsewhere where they had me pay over $900 USD to get to my new destination. Since I was considered a "no show" they cancelled my flight back and had to pay over $300 USD on a new ticket since my prior ticket was invalid. I did not get anything or any credit for the ticket that was cancelled and they were not helpful at all. I spoke to a representative on the phone and they kept interrupting me when I tried explaining to him what happened. They said that if I wanted any credit or refund to contact Swiss Airlines but Swiss Airlines asked me to talk to GoToGate about this. No one is any help here.
Avoid gotogate as their cancellation fees are ridiculous. Allegiant charged a $30 cancellation fee and then gotogate took the rest. I should have booked directly with Allegiant and I would have gotten $60 back out of the $90 dollar flight.

I bought my tickets of Turkish airlines through gotogate. Less than in 24 hours I needed to cancel it. They told me Turkish airlines don't have such a cancellation policy. I called to Turkish airlines, they said they do have a free cancellation policy during 24h but they cannot cancel it because I bought it through a third party. I called to gotogate again and they just insist it's on the end of Turkish airlines with their policy. Incredible liars. Will cancel it through my bank. Never ever again I will by from you.
Worst company I have ever dealt with! I had a flight to France in early July. France issued a mandatory quarantine until July 24 due to COVID so obviously I cant go. I called gotogate to request refund and was told to call airline. Airline says only gotogate can do it which is the truth. They just give you the runaround so you cant get your money back. Meanwhile, my relatives have all gotten refunds from other agencies. They are HORRIBLE! BUYER BEWARE!

This company own My Trip. I have been attempting to get a flight refund for 11 months from My Trip who keep sending bi weekly emails stating they have requested a refund from airline (TAP) for the cancelled flights but have received no response. This is clearly a con and MyTrip and their parent are clearly holding on to the monies.
I was not allowed to get on board as I was not informed in-time to undergo PCR test for COVID19. Now being at Narita airport, I wished this ticket be shifted to next day or let me know about its full refund. But no feedback.
After getting quick help, I could have moved for buying new ticket or stayed one day more near airport to board an alternatively arranged booking.
I will never use gotogate again and will tell everyone to avoid it.
I purchased a ticket and my flight was canceled. They kept telling me I will get refunded when the airlines gives them refund. So I called the airlines and they informed me they did, so I called again. After calling 4 times, waiting 30 minutes each time, being hung up I got 190 out 480 I paid. Next time iam in Miami I will go visit this agency in person iam that angry. I will be filing with better business bureau.
Worst customer service with absolutely no info available. Response time is way too long, none if advertised phone numbs are working. Never ever I would recommend that company, who screw our booking and ruined our holiday, we never got confirmation. Request for cancellation is ignored as well. Even dispute dept of our credidt card wasn't able to get ahold of them. Worst experience ever. Do not book with that company! NO service, NO trip, money wasted - STRESS ONLY
They're practically thieves. My return flight got cancelled. I had to pay another 150$ for rebooking (even though I had a flexible ticket) or pay 60$ for trying to get a refund (not promised). Then I found out that my new booking did not include baggage (the oroginal did) and they wanted another 95$ for it! And a terrible customer service. Stay away!
Gotogate are scammers. I am trying to change my dates of my flight and they hang up my calls or they say the sistem is down and they can not look those flights. I encourage you to avoid to buy tickets with this travel agency of scammers.

They booked me a completely different time than I requested then tried to blame everyone but their staff. They literally took my money and Ran. No service provided and no money refunded.

Our flight schedule from Manchester to Ljubljana was changed with 1 weeks to go. It involved a long stop over in Frankfurt and arriving late. I contacted them to send ay this wouldn't work so they agreed to put us on a flight the day before. We got e mail confirmation and schedule. We arrived at the airport to find our flight booking had been "cancelled". After much blaming between airline and Gotogate it transpired that Gotogate had failed to properly confirm our flight with airline ( ie they hadn't paid for it) so the airline cancelled. We had to rebook another flight at high cost. Terrible customer experience. Length phone calls. On hold 30+ minutes. I have filed complaint form that you have to post to Sweden but not heard anything. Really angry. Not only robbed of our money but so much stress getting to airport/ parking/ waiting etc. Having to come back again and rebook from a different airport. Never ever do business with these scammers

Btw flight was canceled by the airline but these scumbags still charge you a refund processing fee and yet you have to wait 2 months to get a refund... am still waiting for a refund from July and its September. Hi, i have tickets to China at this time and is normal i want change my tickets for nexts days because of virus, i call in UK from Norway use 5 hours listing not understandable broking English, i did't say what i talk perfect but this workers make some drama, whey every time say they can't change tickets because air company not flying. I can get me new tickets for 1k pounds but i pay before 1k. And for call bills i must pay 50 euro and they get nothing for me i only waiting and nothing. But finally i cal for one air company after for another and they make change. What i tray say if you see good price and go to gate name run from site. :D
