I booked 2 tickets from South Africa to France on Air Algerie through Gotogate in about June 2024. Flight departing mid September. The flight was cancelled by the Airline on 17 August. Their refund policy stated 15 working days. This was 6 weeks ago and no refund has been received. The reason now given is that I was a "no show"! There are currently no Air Algerie flights to South Africa, so it would be difficult to be a "no show" if there are no aircraft! Gotogate keep fobbing me off with excuses. My advice - do not book through Gotogate if you want a refund if the airline cancels the flight. They should just be transparent and tell you upfront - no refunds on this flight for whatever reason. I am going to pursue this further.
Do not use this company unless you want to throw your booking and money away. If your flights are canceled you Will Never get your money back. I spent hours of my life on the phone to incompetent people. DO NOT USE

I got an alert that my checked baggage service was canceled the day before my flight. Thank god I checked my email and saw this. Turns out one of my flights changed too. Between the new luggage fees and a hotel cancelation for the changed flight my luggage fee effectively more than doubled. The only reason they got a star was because 0 wasn't an option.

Anybody wishing to book with Gotogates DON'T! After purchasing my tickets from them, 2 months after I go to the airline website to check whether my tickets have been confirmed, I notice that the date I was supposed to fly on has been cancelled and instead I'm now flying a day after. In addition, it is not ATOL protected. Upon calling them in regards to this issue, the agent did not listen to me properly as I kept saying "hello, hello" in order to get him to listen to me. Worst experience ever as customer satisfaction is not their top priority.
I bought my plane ticket for Rio de Janeiro from Ushuaia in March 2022 for November 2022. In October go to gate informed me that the airline had changed the first leg of the journey such that I would miss the second flight. I called customer service and they said I could either cancel for a refund or they could rebook. At the same time they said they had no options available for rebooking. Basically I had to cancel my booking. They lied and said I would receive a refund. This company stole my money: $1000.89. They are crooks. Do not use them.
Airline canceled all flights on my travel date. GotoGate never send me an email notification. Airline does to have my contact info to notify me of changes. I found out from a friend taking the same flight. When I call to rebook, they said I need to call airline myself. Airline refunded in full, per airline website, to a credit card own by GotoGate. I call GotoGate for the refund and they change a $40 processing fee for the refund. I never received flight service, dealt with changes myself. What service did GotoGate provide?

The wait lines are short but they won't help with anything. It is some form of torture being promised that they really want to help and then not doing anything about it. I was issued a refund on a ticket on January 2nd. The refund was issued to gotogate and they were supposed to forward the refund to me. I have called eight times in the last several months to check on the refund and every time they say they are expediting it and it should hit my credit card in five to seven business days. Every time it doesn't. I asked to speak to a manager and they say they will call me back and they don't. So frustrating.

24 days of GotoHell
I made a reservation with them for April 2nd. Due to the Covid, the borders were closed I called the air flight company and was reimbursed for luggage i bought directly. But the tickets fees as I was told several times are with GotoGate. Ever since than Im trying to get hold of them. They're not anwering the phones (tried dozens of time 24/7 busy) or e-mails i wrote. I honestly believe they are a SCAM

Duped into their slightly cheaper quoted price. Needed check in bag and booked one bag as always the same as airline charge in past bookings with others. OH NO! Checked my booking on KLM website and NO check in bag appeared. Saw that the KLM price is £44.20 and Gotogate charged £78! Email response from them said for me to ring KLM and sort it out and refusal to refund difference. Explanation was that is how they make money!
I had booked to and fro tickets from SG-BLR using this site and while booking i didn't get any information about baggage but it said to refer airline website. And i carried my check-in luggage as per airline policy. On the date of travel i was not allowed to check in baggage saying I'm not eligible to check in any baggage and if i want to carry luggage i need to pay SGD50. I told them i carried based on airline's website (as mentioned in the ticket) and requested to allow me to carry but staffs refused to help me. They didn't even allow me to carry my luggage(it was just 8kgs) in cabin saying my bag size is not as per the airline policy. The staffs were totally rude and didn't help me in anyways. I have decided not to book in this site anymore. Please make it clear your baggage allowance and other details before you fly to avoid last min harassment.

Lured by a slightly lower price and then problems started. Mistakes after mistakes and troubles after troubles not solved by Customer support but charged with high prices. Not possible to understand the indian accent not possible to change or update.

Do not use Gotogate! Horrible customer service! January 2020 I booked 2 roundtrip flights through GoToGate, flying via Norwegian Airline. In April/May the flight was canceled due to Covid. Norwegian assured me that they would refund the flight but needed to receive a form from GoToGate. After 4 months of multiple follow up by emails and phone calls with GoToGate they had not provided any refund. When I called Norwegian Airline to get a status update and they said they had not received any refund request for our ticket. I've been proactive with this but have been given the run around by GoToGate.
Utterly Disappointed: Avoid GoToGate at All Costs!
I regret to say that my recent encounter with GoToGate has left me seething with frustration and disappointment. I purchased flight tickets through their platform, intending to include our newborn baby in the booking. Shockingly, their ineptitude and lack of communication with the airline prevented them from making this seemingly straightforward adjustment. Unbelievable!
When I attempted to rectify this, their customer service proved to be an absolute nightmare. Not only did they fail to assist in adding our baby to the booking, but their refusal to provide a full refund was the final straw. It's appalling that a company supposedly facilitating travel couldn't manage such a simple request and then had the audacity to deny a reasonable refund.
Communication? Non-existent. Support? Abysmal. Transparency? Completely lacking. GoToGate's disregard for customer needs is utterly appalling. What's worse is their attempt to swindle customers with additional charges when alterations are necessary. It's beyond comprehension how a company can operate with such disregard for customer satisfaction.
Save yourself the anguish and avoid GoToGate. The allure of cheaper prices quickly fades away when you're confronted with their incompetence and their readiness to exploit customers. My experience has been a cautionary tale, and I implore anyone considering their services to steer clear and opt for a more reputable and customer-centric alternative. We bought a flexible ticket due to the threat of COVID upsetting our plans - this meant we could change our tickets once for free (it cost us £40).
The COMPANY then told us that we had to change our outgoing flight, AND they charged a £30 admin fee, despite it not being our choice, nor was this fee stated anywhere in the ticket terms and conditions. This also added a 9-hour layover to what was originally only a 3-hour flight. So now we have to pay them a £30 admin fee and pay for a hotel through no fault of our own.
Our flights were cancelled due to COVID, and we were trying to reschedule our flights, which they informed us would cost £30. What was the point in paying an extra £40 for a flexible ticket?!?! Now, having been on the phone with them for an hour, they hung up on me when I asked for a refund. Awful company, avoid at all costs!
This company sucks. I bought a Korean airline ticket with a special seat that is more than 100 dollars. But I canceled the special seat through Korean air customer service. But the staff told me that I needed to call GoToGate for the refund. So, I just called the GoToGate customer service. But after calling and waiting for an hour, the staff told me that it is non-refundable. What? The airline company told me that it was refundable, but why is it non-refundable? It doesn't make sense. Never buy an airline ticket through this website. WORST.
I had a terrible experience with Gotogate. I was issued a refund from my airline directly to gotogate because the airline had changed the time of the flight and I was not informed. Gotogate was then supposed to issue the refund back to me. After having to contact the airline and gotogate multiple times to get this sorted out, I kept getting told that they have not received a refund, only for them to finally check properly and tell me that they have received the refund afterall (after multiple calls to them). Then I get hit with a 45$ administrative fee, meaning that I was now receiving only a partial refund. I am extremely disappointed with the unprofessional nature of Gotogate's customer service, and will never be booking with them again, and also will advise anyone against booking with them.
It is a pure scam full business. They DO NOT help anything at all. Flight rebooking was a complete failure. It is so much and too much to tell in here. My advice is to stay away, stay away, and stay away. You will regret it if you go with them.

I've purchased a ticket and paid extra for the full refund option. Indeed I had to cancel that flight and received a voucher for ~$650, that I happily tried to apply to a different flight 2 months later.
But when I tried to apply the voucher, it only used ~$450 of the voucher. I booked that ticket assuming the difference will remain on the voucher and filed a support request. I got this lovely call from their customer service couple of weeks later, telling me that (a) I got only $450 because you can't use the voucher for extras like luggage - only for the flight; and (b) that you can use the voucher once and whatever is left is forfeited. Obviously at that point I couldn't cancel that new flight becasue that would just cost me more...
Bottom line - NEVER BUY at GOTOGATE. Always best to book at the actual air travel company directly.

I found a flight on skyscanner, so I went to gotogate to try to book it. I should have been suspicious when the price for the same flight was 3x as much on the airline website. When I tried to book the flight, it said the flight could not be book I called my bank, and my bank said the merchant had cancelled the transaction. When I called gotogate, they INSISTED it was my bank cancelling the transaction.
I went back to book another flight, and, magically, it was $300 more.
If the flight seems to good to be true, it probably is.
Booked our first international tickets in Gogate and if you ever ask me for feedback or a score? I would not even bother give a 0! We booked the flight to Taibei and stuck the airport for hours and told the customer we couldn't continue the trip due to visa issue to entry into taibei. We have asked for refund/credit/ and any kind of solutions what we can do to fix it? The customer service was terrible and all he said is no refund and no even speaking at all.
