I booked 2 tickets from South Africa to France on Air Algerie through Gotogate in about June 2024. Flight departing mid September. The flight was cancelled by the Airline on 17 August. Their refund policy stated 15 working days. This was 6 weeks ago and no refund has been received. The reason now given is that I was a "no show"! There are currently no Air Algerie flights to South Africa, so it would be difficult to be a "no show" if there are no aircraft! Gotogate keep fobbing me off with excuses. My advice - do not book through Gotogate if you want a refund if the airline cancels the flight. They should just be transparent and tell you upfront - no refunds on this flight for whatever reason. I am going to pursue this further.
I booked return flights to Rio de Janeiro. On November 16th,22 to flight August 16th, 23.
In July 23. When I contact the Airline for upgrade, I find out that I didn't have a return flight, I checked the booking confirmation from Gotogate, that shows that booked and paid for return flights.
I first contacted Gotogate. To asking what was happening, and the LYED saying was a change made by the airline! And I have to pay e extra £150! After complaining a lot they dropped to £125. I then contact the airline (TAP) that send me the prouve that my return flight never been booked!
Gotogate even treated me after I paid the extra £125. If I did not send them a email confirming that I accepted the T&c they would not send me my flight details.

They canceled my flight without even letting me know. I called the airline because I couldn't add my passport information and they where the ones that told me that there was something wrong going on and I had to call gotogate.
Therefore I find out that my flight was canceled without a refund... luckily I called the airline otherwise I would have gone to the airport without a ticket.
Will never do business with them again. Better to buy your tickets from the main airline website, tickets are cheaper too
This company is a complete scam, never use them. I tried to book a ticket for a specific time and after I paid they changed the time of the flight in my confirmation email. This was GoToGate's system's fault and not because of the change in the airline's schedule, as the airline was not listing on its website a flight for the time listed on GoToGate since before I booked through GoToGate. Even after spending hours on the phone and explaining the situation thoroughly GoToGate has denied any responsibility and is not giving me a refund, I am never going to use them again.
Orederd online and got a very vague email seemingly confirming my booking, but when I opened the attachment there were pieces of info not relating to me at all plus a message canceling my booking for technical reasons.
Booked again and the same thing happened only that this time got a clear message that the booking was canceled for technical resaons.
Went a head and got my ticket elsewhere.
If I wasnt diligent enough I would have showed up for my flight and would be mad as hell.

If I could give a 0 I definitely would. They don't deserve a single star. I booked with this company to save 12$ when I was searching on google flights, i never had an issue with the companies on google flights before.
So I paid for 1 baggage, for a fee of 50.50$ outbound and paid extra to have window seat. First mistake was that when i received my email confirmation I realized that they charge me 101$ for baggage, wich i never agreed in because on my way back I booked first class with 2 baggages included. I called and I had the worst customer service they are like robots and repeat the exact same speach and bull$#*!. Second, I just got in the plane and my seat was the middle seat… stuck between 2 person.
I just hope I still have my first class on the way back, not suprise if I dont and that they just scammed me again…. RIDICULOUS

Bought a ticket to India through gotogate in order to save some money, I was in the situation to change the return flight:
- I waited at least 10 minutes to speak to someone each time I called (4 times)
- I spoke both English and Italian (native) but the people working there have really poor English or Italian; level A1 totally no understandable.
- my original ticket was 700€ but I needed to change only the return one, and they asked for 950€ to change only 1 way
Don't waist time with the hope to save 50€; you won't be able to change anything later.

Terrible and dishonest bunch of fools running this business. They made me book a flight via Brunei and then emailed me stating I cant fly through Brunei as per the LATEST directions from the airline. Then I found out that it was announced last year, that none can transit through Brunei, yet, they made me pay for this trip. The best part is, they charge me 447 for cancellation. The airline says it's only 100 dollars but Gotogate says it's 350 plus their cancellation charge is 97 dollars. DO NOT EVER BOOK THROUGH GOTOGATE.

This site SUCKS it is the worst RIPP OFF ever. Paid for return tickets they took my money and instead of send confirmation. They sent me flight has been cancelled here is 10% refund for your flight!
YES 10%. Now just payed them hundreds of dollars for NOTHING! What do I do now? CHARGE some more.
And Worst experience I have ever had. They sold me a trip - a total of two flights, different airlines, self transfer but with connection guarantee. I missed the connection because first, the first flight was delayed but second and most importantly - even if the flight made it on time (8:40) I still would have never made it because apparently the check in for the second one closed at 8:30.
I spent hours on the phone trying to reach them only to be told that they can get me on another flight only in 3-5 business days and asked me to contact the second flight airline to cancel the booking so they can give me a refund.
Of course the airline won't do anything, and it is the travel agency's responsibility to meet their own terms and conditions such as the self transfer guarantee which they fail to do and make receiving a refund impossible. A huge scam, waste of money, stress because I was stuck in Singapore with my 5 year old and more money - I had to buy a ticket to reach my final destination myself which cost me another 760$ dollars on top of the 450$ which was the second flight that I will probably never get a refund for.

I bought flights which I didn't get because of missed connection, received no refund and was stranded in a foreign country with a 5 year old child without being offered the next available flight. Ended up buying another flight myself with a different airline directly which put me even more out of pocket.
The worst travel company we have dealt with so far. First, during COVID-19 lockdown, we couldn't get hold of them at all and now they suggested that we should have written them a letter so they could respond and claimed that we did not show up for the flight.

Purchased a ticket on Dec. 2019 for March 2020 from Seattle, the USA to Frankfurt, Germany. The flights were canceled due to the pandemic. I attempted to contact the company for more than a dozen times to get a refund, NO RESPONSE at all. It's August 20,2020, that I am writing this review and there is still no response from the firm or the airline, and my $510 has not been refunded yet!

I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone and I wouldn't buy anything from them never again.
I would give a zero stars but that choice wasn't available. DO NOT EVER BOOK with GoToGate, they are fishy and very unhelpful. They will not help you make name corrections on your ticket, and they won't even credit a non-refundable ticket.

I called GotoGate's customer service hotline seeking assistance with booking tickets. Little did I know that I was about to fall into a trap laid out by none other than Rahul. They sweet-talked their way into convincing me that a particular flight was the best option for my needs, assuring me that it was worth every penny of the $3200 they were asking for.
Oh, how wrong I was to trust them! Not only was the flight an absolute nightmare, but upon further investigation, I discovered that I had been grossly overcharged. It turns out that similar tickets were available for a fraction of the price through other airlines or even directly through Gotogate's website.
It's bad enough to pay a premium for quality service, but to be swindled out of thousands of dollars for subpar treatment is beyond reprehensible. It's clear to me know that Rahul saw me as nothing more than a gullible mark to exploit for their own gain.
The audacity of them to employ such deceitful individuals reflects poorly on their entire organization. This isn't just a case of one rogue agent; it's a systemic issue that speaks volumes about the company's values or lack thereof.

Gogate does not follow thru on their promises to refund your money. I requested a refund on April 9 for 3 tickets and I received a refund for my solo ticket on April 13th but not the other two when the airline cancelled my flight. After being laughed at from their customer service rep, I called the airline to find out that Gogate had not requested a refund for me for those 2 tickets and that I needed them to do so before I could get a refund, so again I wait on the phone forever and finally spoke to another rep and told him that his company had not even requested a refund from the airline for me and he said that nothing could be done until Oct. 3rd, 2022 since I disputed the charges trying to get my credit card company to help with a refund. I received an email from the airline that they had refunded the fares back to Gogate on July 22,2022 and I finally got my refund on Aug. 4th

Bought a ticket and insurance through them for the 1st and last time. Right after that realized that a person I bought it for can't fly with them then. Withing an hour I tried to change the booking and the website wouldn't load for me. I tried for several days and it wouldn't load. I couldn't find a way to contact them and a person was "no show". Neither insurance or company wouldn't do anything.
My fault that I got my flights booked through GoToGate without checking their rating! But THEY DID LIVE UP TO IT! Worst services that can be provided to the customer - The agent Banged the phone right to my face because I wanted to get wheelchair assistant service added to the ticket (which are provided free by every airline). What else can they do or offer if they can't even assist with FREE SERVICE!
