I booked 2 tickets from South Africa to France on Air Algerie through Gotogate in about June 2024. Flight departing mid September. The flight was cancelled by the Airline on 17 August. Their refund policy stated 15 working days. This was 6 weeks ago and no refund has been received. The reason now given is that I was a "no show"! There are currently no Air Algerie flights to South Africa, so it would be difficult to be a "no show" if there are no aircraft! Gotogate keep fobbing me off with excuses. My advice - do not book through Gotogate if you want a refund if the airline cancels the flight. They should just be transparent and tell you upfront - no refunds on this flight for whatever reason. I am going to pursue this further.

Worst company I've ever dealt with. Picked a flight--TWICE--through Google Flights. Clicked on Book now, which took me to Gotogate's website. Then I paid for the flight. Suddenly, Gotogate sends me confirmation of a flight that would take off TEN DAYS after the date I selected. When I called them--WITHIN 5 MINUTES OF THE PURCHASE--to have them fix or refund, they refused to do either. Google should cut all ties. I'm never booking through them again! They're scam artists!

DO NOT BOOK THROUGH THEM. When it comes to refunds, vouchers, changes to flights they will TAKE YOUR MONEY and not refund you. AUSTRALIAN PHONE IS DISCONNECTED. Emails to assist you are followed by ‘cancel via calling us'. Ring your airline. TELL THEM you have been given no other opportunity but to contact them direct because GTG has disconnected all options.

I usually am not the one for writing reviews, but i do feel it is necessary that many people become aware of this agency. As a honest recommendation, Please book with the airline or a legit & verified travel agency, even if the prices are a bit higher. GOTOGATE will not represent you as their customer once they have taken your money... I booked my flight way in advance, however the airline decided to change the schedule (apparently this is the new normal); this agency never contacted me or did anything. In-fact, some agent decided that it was the best option for me to fly into a completely different airport in a different province.I am the one constantly calling them to rectify their mistake.but i always get the standard boiler plate answer for the past 3 months "we are taking care of this personally for you, please be rest assured your issue will be handled". I have 30 days or less to travel and they have not yet corrected their mistake. & In-spite of telling them i have a medical condition; this agency could care less...

They ask for money for every service, the customer service is TERRIBLE, they are the furthest thing from friendly, they charge your card before securing your airline ticket. I changed my flight within their 24-hour policy and I was literally ignored, spoke to seven different representatives... who were all rude and told me to call the airline as they cannot help. AT THE END OF THE DAY MY CARD WAS STILL CHARGED BY GOTOGATE. IT WAS THE WRONG TICKET INFORMATION AND I REFUSED TO PAY TO CHANGE IT AS I REQUESTED A CHANGE WITHIN 24 HOURS. Very poor customer service and binding agreements. Do not use this provider. Phone numbers do not connect and spend hours on the phone only to be cut off on long distance calls lasting hours. A Bureaucratic mess designed to make you give up. On one call I was told I was in the queue for an estimated two additional minutes. 1 hr later I was being told the same message before eventually getting through to a "customer service representative that cut me off.
I think it's clear to note that for the sake of my families holiday I was being extra nice and trying to work with the staff as much as possible and going with their suggestions but the policy seems to be to shift you on to the next guy who leaves you sitting in a call service queue for 50mins before answering. I have a sneaking feeling that the whole system is designed to infuriate you into cancelling your flight which costs you money.
Avoid at all costs. If I went through the airline there would have been no issue. 10 days after my flights have been changes I am still trying to get """"any"""" type of a decision
I accidentally booked spirit airplane plane tickets through and then realized that I booked for the wrong date because of how they purposely set up their $#*!ty website. Then I called them and said we need to cancel. Cancellation was and Spirit has issued a refund since 8/8/2023, these scammers keep lying to me that no refund has been made from spirit end. I called spirit airline again today and they told me that Gotogate got the refund using their own credit card instead of my own credit card. They have a way to change your credit card on their shifty website or file so that the refund can go to them and they will keep telling you that you will get a refund but you won't, it's been 3 months already. We spend over $3000 on plane tickets on them. I can't wait to sue these greedy $#*!ers.

Please NEVER book a trip with this TERRIBLE and HORRENDOUS company. I have had not only the worst experience communicating with these people over the phone but over email as well. I was hung up on by someone who didn't want to help me anymore, I was rushed off the phone by an agent who told me that our 12 minute conversation was too long and 3 times before I was even given the opportunity to speak to an agent their automatic waiting system disconnected me at the 3 hour mark. When I was finally able to somewhat solve my problem I was told I would be refunded a certain amount and the following day was sent an email with a smaller amount the agent told me over the phone. PLEASE do not give this company any more business. I read another view about this company during my process of dealing with them that said " Only use this company if you want to bang your head against the wall " and this is exactly how I felt.

I've just used gotogate again this time for 3 individual flights on the same airline. LHR-KWI. KWI-BAH. BAH-LHR. Always a bit wary of OTAs but again I'm proved wrong. Price was best via skyscanner search. Direct searching on gotogate.co.uk produced the same price as directly booking with the airline. I booked with gotogate.co.uk to save some money. Again I'm not disappointed.
The ticketing was instant as you would expect. And the ticketing immediately contained the airline booking ref which allowed me to then manage the booking with my FF program number passport etc. I also booked my fav seat at no additional cost.
Very happy with gotogate.co.uk as an OTR. I would use again. Seems all is well unless you might have a problem.
PS. Used again for the 3rd time on a J class booking. It was ticketed in around 8 mins. All checked out with the airline. All again no problems.

9 hours on a flight back from Canada sat in separate seats me and my partner due to not being able to book in on line rubbish service never use this company again

BEWARE! I basically got stuck with a couple $600 tickets I could not use or exchange. I originally booked a flight to Puerto Vallarta through GoToGate and needed to reschedule. I called customer service, who suggested I contact the Mexican airline I was originally scheduled use. Upon calling them I quickly realized AeroBus has no customer service… just an automated operator, which disconnects after 15 minutes on hold (I must have called 4 or 5 times, and got disconnected every time). When I called GoToGate to tell them I couldn't get in contact with anyone from AeroBus, they told me there was nothing they could do. I spent the whole day trying to reschedule online, but no luck. To sum things up—BEWARE!
Basically GoToGate fleeced me of the money for a flight that was impacted by Covid in 2021. They would not respond to any communication from me (email and phone) which rendered me unable to contact the airline to explain that I wouldn't be on the flight. I would NEVER use GoToGate again and would warn anyone to NEVER choose to give them any business. It was an absolute disgrace. I still feel upset by the whole experience because there seems to be no accountability at all. Plus, like most hard-working people, I couldn't afford to lose the money on the tickets. I give GoToGate a zero star rating.
