I booked 2 tickets from South Africa to France on Air Algerie through Gotogate in about June 2024. Flight departing mid September. The flight was cancelled by the Airline on 17 August. Their refund policy stated 15 working days. This was 6 weeks ago and no refund has been received. The reason now given is that I was a "no show"! There are currently no Air Algerie flights to South Africa, so it would be difficult to be a "no show" if there are no aircraft! Gotogate keep fobbing me off with excuses. My advice - do not book through Gotogate if you want a refund if the airline cancels the flight. They should just be transparent and tell you upfront - no refunds on this flight for whatever reason. I am going to pursue this further.
As soon as I was booking my ticket, I filled out the necessary information in less than five minutes as soon as I was going to check out, I was advised that prices went up by $40 when I checked other websites it was still at the previous price
Gotogate failed to confirm my flight despite booking three weeks in advance and I received an email the night before that the flight was not confirmed. I then booked a flight directly with the same airline. Gotogate refuses to refund the original ticket price for having performed no service at all.
Way too many fees that increase the listed price. This feels like a bait & switch. This can take advantage of many people. :(

I bought a ticket online from their website and then I changed my mind. I tried to contacted them right away no answer at all. I had to wait till Monday to called them finally someone answered me, and I explained to her my situation then replied me no refund no cancellation request.
So, if you buy a flight ticket from this company and you changed your mind hour later just say good buy to your money. No refund no request cancellation. No customer service on 24h as they state in their website. Please stay away from this type of company.
Buying tickets on Gotogate has always been the way I plan travel. It's the only way I can afford to go where I have dreamt of going. England, Australia, it's worked awesome going everywhere!
Avoid using this company at all cost. They will give you the run around on a legitimate need for a refund and then close out your refund request after you have jumped through all of their hoops. I do not believe they are an upstanding nor legitimate company. Customer service is very poor. Run from this one...
DO NOT TRUST OR BUY A TICKET FROM THESE PEOPLE. WAS SCAMMED AND HAD TO BUY NEW TICKETS WORTH TRIPLE.
They wrote the wrong names on the ticket and wouldn't change it back. Still trying to get the money back after a year.

There is no customer service phone number. When using the chat customer service option, i waited over thirty minutes for an agent to arrive Within one minute and ten seconds of the agent arriving and asking me to describe the issue, they said that they would disconnect the chat because I was taking too long to type.
After the agent sad that he understood the problem, They offered solutions that had nothing to do with what I described. After re-statingthe problem, the agent sad that the issue was taken care of. I asked for a confirmation number of my booking and Instead the agent ended the chat. An hour of my life wasted.

I purchased a ticket from YYC to Vancouver on Jan 12th which canceled by airline due to bad weather.
I called several times. Every times, I need to wait at least an hour then they don't even tell me when they can refund me. They just say they're working on it.
What should I do?

I am really annoyed with the service provided by booking.com. I specifically booked a flexible flight to Durban for the 6/2/24 to return on 2/3/24 through booking.com on a virgin Atlantic flight as my 93 year old mother broke some ribs following a fall. I live in the UK and she lives in South Africa. I wanted a ticket which allowed for flexibility as I work and was not sure how she would progress. I needed to apply for my return ticket after speaking to my manager to be changed to 16/2/24. I had to pay £350 which surprised me as I had a flexible ticket. She has now been discharged following a pacemaker and have needed to delay flight further to 26/2/24. Booking.com have said they won't refund ticket or allow me to change ticket as this is part of their terms and conditions. What happens to this seat? Do they get more money for this? I am so pissed off about this! I have needed to buy another return ticket costing£565! Not happy, will never use booking.com again for a ticket!

We requested a small change on the booking within 10 mins of booking and we were asked to pay $45 processing fee. Not happy with our first experience booking with go togate.
I was directed to Go To Gate from one of the bigger booking agencies (I cannot remember if it as Expedia or Rome2Rio) - entered my info and paid for 2 tickets - web site showed 100% refund if cancelled within 24 hours. Well, I realized within a few minutes that what I booked was a one way ticket not round trip. Tried to cancel and was charged a $45/ticket HANDLING fee. Called and talked to them and they would not budge on the issue - just kept saying "you agreed to the service fee when you bought the tickets!" I told the agent he better look for another job because this company will go out of business if that is the way they abuse their customers. I wish I had thought to check reviews before booking with them in the first place. Avoid at all costs!

Whilst Gotogate appears to have competitive prices be VERY careful when booking. The prices are low purely to come up at the top of searches on travel booking sites such as Skyscanner and Kayak. But they mark up the "extras" very heavily.
The airline ticket that I bought did not include a luggage allowance so I added one piece during the check-out process of the booking. They charged £26.99 for this although on the airline's own site (Air Asia) they only charge £10.24 (THB 468)
This is an over charge/mark-up of over 260%
When I phoned GotoGate they said that they are entitled to mark up their prices, that I had chosen to add the luggage and that they do not give refunds of any kind on the extras that they sell as part of the bookings.

I was looking for a no frills dirt cheap flight and I got it. However a the end, there was a barrage of upsells from seat selection to text reminders; each with the associated cost. It was mostly nickel and dime stuff but it was a bit annoying.
Horrible service. The company doesn't want to refund your money even when the airlines clearly state I'm entitled to a full refund. It's been 3 months I've been trying to get my refund with no resolution insight. Absolutely the worst service I've had in my 40 years of traveling, I would not recommend this service to anyone.

Extremely disappointed! GoToGate was supposedly denied access to Thai Jet Air and Thai Air Asia, so they couldn't honor the flexible ticket. Because they couldn't help me with my flight changes, they offered to refund my flight only, and not the additional services they promised-- flexible ticket, seat reservations... I lost $200 dollars and will NEVER use this company again and regret not paying attention to the reviews in the first place as they only have 1 star! Go figure! On top of all of this I incurred expensive international call fees as I was put on long holds many times.

They scam clients by saying no details can be changed, even if you call in 1 minute after submission, they tell you the whole ticket is cancelled. I even got on the phone with the airline, and they were willing to help me out but in the end it relied on Gotogate making the changes on their end. Even though they had all the information, and had the airline company assisting, they decided not to do anything and just let the flight ticket get cancelled.
I will be filing a charge back on this pathetic excuse of a company
If you think you are saving money by booking with Go to Gate, I highly suggest that you book with the airline directly or elsewhere. I'm a sucker for a bargain but I made an awful mistake by booking with them. The time and stress I have to endured was ridiculous.
The airline couldn't find the reference number provided by this agency so end up paying an extra $16.50 just for their call center to book it for me.
That's not all, my return flight? Oh boy... they canceled it! I tried calling them and mysteriosuly, no one is answering. I end-up rebooking directly with the airline and was confirmed that the agency canceled my flight. Please take my word for it. By-pass the stress and book elsewhere.
