I booked 2 tickets from South Africa to France on Air Algerie through Gotogate in about June 2024. Flight departing mid September. The flight was cancelled by the Airline on 17 August. Their refund policy stated 15 working days. This was 6 weeks ago and no refund has been received. The reason now given is that I was a "no show"! There are currently no Air Algerie flights to South Africa, so it would be difficult to be a "no show" if there are no aircraft! Gotogate keep fobbing me off with excuses. My advice - do not book through Gotogate if you want a refund if the airline cancels the flight. They should just be transparent and tell you upfront - no refunds on this flight for whatever reason. I am going to pursue this further.
Terrible. I don't understand how such a site can exist. Bad information arrives in the mail. They don't even help with simple questions. They are trying to extract a lot of extra money. For example, I can't check because they don't send good data.
Received an e-mail two weeks ago confirming my refund. Still have to receive it. The customer service guy said they are short handed and will send another e-mail when it confirmed whatever that means. They used their card info to pay frontier to that the refund will go to them and they can charge an $80 fee before sending it back to you. Frontier responded right away to my e mail. They never did. Never booking through a site again!
GoToGate is a big liar and did not keep their promise to customer. We were promised 24/48 hours response to our request for a name correction in our booking. It is now 20 days since we first logged the request and 8 days since we paid the additional charge. We were unable to speak to the supervisor or the support team despite many requests. We were promised a return call within 24/48 hours. After 8 days, we didn't hear from them. This morning GoToGate said if we don't want to wait, they would refund the additional charge and not do the name correction in our booking. This is an absolutely nightmare travel agent, extremely unhelpful.

We booked a flight through "Go to Gate/Booking.com" in Dec 2022 for Jan 17th 2023.
The flight was cancelled by airline, and airline forwarded our refund to "go to gate" within 2 days. It's been over 3 months and "Go to Gate is not refunding the money! I have called numerous times for our refund; the only answer we receive is that "it is in processing, no time-line" and no other option is provided for inquiry by "Go to Gate" help line. Very Unethical conduct; stay away from them!

Avoid at all costs! We had a nightmare with this company. Our flight was cancelled and Lufthansa changed the flight to later one in the day but advised us that GoToGate had to issue the tickets as they were purchased through them.
We rang gotogate and were advised that new tickets were going to be emailed in 8 hours. 8 hours later nothing came through. We kept ringing up customers service who cannot speak proper English end then they advised us to keep waiting for the new tickets to arrive.
After about 10 calls it turned out we were not booked onto the later flight!
We had to purchase new tickets and fly from the other side of UK.

Do not buy a travel ticket from gotogate.com or flyfar (is the same company) no service and they try to steal your money. My flight got cancelled to Israel and they sold me 2 different ticket to go there (my final destination was no the 1st one) and even when they sent me an email saying that my second flight got cancelled they did nothing to cancel the 1st flight. Thank God that I was able to cancelled myself and requested the money back with my credit card company.

I'm so livid right now whatever you do don't check-in online with gotogate. They charge you extra fees with no explanation, they have horrible support and wait time when you call. I've been in queue for almost an hour now and they charged me $150 for a $50 luggage charge. It absolutely horrendous, do not recommend for anybody ever.
Very bad experience with the website cause they website have bug I think they purposely keep to bug to con ppls to pay extra money. Management should change the total entire CS team and the policy. It really making ppl boil blood and have bad experience. Not recommend to use, NEVER EVER for your life. Hope the company wind up to keep user safe from scam.
Very bad customer service. I kept emailing them, and totally ignored my email. I escalated my issue to the airline directly. They told me they will contact gotogate on behalf of me, but still no replies from them. I almost give up my $2000. I will never ever book flight ticket from this website and I really regretted that I booked though them to save maybe $100. I even don't want to give one star.
Do not use Gotogate! I purchased a ticket for travel and a week before the flight my spouse passed away unexpectedly. I contacted the Gotogate for a refund, provided a copy of the death certificate, a letter from my command (I am in the military), and I have been getting the run around since. My spouse passed away 5 May 2019 and I have contacted Gotogate religiously every month since. They keep saying they will escalate to higher support and get back to me via email or phone call, but never do. Please do not use the company who truly does not care about their customers!
I booked two flights through Gotogate in June, which were both cancelled shortly afterwards. I took it upon myself to contact the airline to request a refund, as Gotogate only offered a voucher. The airline refunded my money in early July... but to Gotogate, as they were the booking agent. And since then... I would leave 0 stars if possible. I booked a flight through them which was cancelled by the airline. The airline confirmed I could amend or have a full refund with no additional charges. GoToGate told me they would charge me £30 for the refund for their administration costs. I explained what Turkish Airlines had told me but she refused to give me a full refund. Now I'm waiting for the refund. Who knows how long that will be.
In June 2021 I bought an air ticket through gotogate.com.au, with departure scheduled at the end of August. One week earlier I was informed the flight had been cancelled and I asked for a refund. I had to pay a fee for this privilege but over five months later I have not yet been reimbursed. Gotogate kept telling me they had not received the airline's ok for the refund and that it would take time, etc. However, when I contacted the airline directly to inquire they informed me (and provided proof) that they had given the ok to www.gotogate.com for the reimbursement just a few days after the flight had been cancelled. The replies of gotogate.com customer service appear to be more and more just copy and paste. I will probably have to go to court to claim my money back. My suggestion is to avoid, avoid them.

This is a seriuos warning for those who are looking for a reliable travel service company. NEVER EVER close to Gotogate. Customer service is a joking word. They made a mistake in my airline reservation ticket and If I had not understood myself I would lose my job. They are not able to refund even 600 CA. It had taken more than two weeks and the only answer is our team is processing to refund you. What a funny hearing. It is not a million dollar it is only 600 and they are not able to make it.
I booked a flight online. Their website is designed in a way that intentionally there is no way to cancel the ticket online. I called and was on hold for more than one hour. I send emails and there was no response in days. Their procedures are fraud so they can keep the booking charge with no cancellation money back. I requested dispute through my credit card company.

I call literally 15 times to change the name of the passenger on the reservation: 3 hours of waiting for each call, they hang up, do not want to give satisfaction, and are impertinent. These guys use an old trick: the flight itself is 1-2$ cheaper than other sites, but if you add bags, carry on items, or any other service you will pay 4 times the amount for that service. So you end up with a totally outrageous price for the ticket.
When trying to cancel a ticket they will ask for an outrageous fee for the cancellation, so you will end up losing most of the ticket price.
