Absolutely a scam. I'm Canadian and was on the Canadian website to purchase tickets, before purchasing tickets were obviously in CAN dollars (why would a Canadian purchase in USD) and ended up getting charged in USD. Spoke to multiple people in customer service and they won't do anything because they're stating I purchased on the US site. Why would a US site state CAN dollars through all the steps, not stating anywhere it is going to be converted. Find out 48hrs when it showed up on my credit card. Won't be using them ever again and advise the same with others

Don´t book flights. You will only get back your money 6 months later if at all and need a lawyer.
Gotogate refusal to send back money after airline cancellation. Legal aspects for your emails.

The refusal to issue a refund, despite the cancellation of the flight and the confirmed reimbursement from Ethiopian Airlines on 28 April 2025, constitutes a clear violation of EU Regulation 261/2004 as well as the Swedish Consumer Sales Act (Konsumentköplagen).
Under Article 8 of EU Regulation 261/2004, passengers are entitled to a full refund within 7 days following cancellation by the airline. This obligation applies regardless of whether the booking was made directly or through a travel agent. Furthermore, under Swedish law, travel agents and intermediaries are not entitled to delay refunds pending reimbursement from third parties. The obligation to refund lies with the contract partner — in this case, Gotogate.

Their service is terrible. I have been waiting for refund after one of the flights was canceled already two weeks and they can't give me information on what is going on. I just hear that they escalating and that I should wait some time. Already my holiday trip is ruined.

I had a very disappointing experience with Go to Gate. I purchased a ticket that included additional baggage, only to be later informed that they couldn't provide the extra baggage due to a technical error. They processed a refund for the baggage only, but since I cannot travel without it, I requested the cancellation of my entire reservation and a full refund. Instead of taking responsibility, their support tried to shift the blame onto the airline to avoid accountability. Despite my follow-up emails, I received no response, and their customer support refused to escalate the issue to a manager or discuss the situation with the airline.
Even after I finished my conversation with support, I received a survey link with options that clearly indicated I did not want to take the survey!
Based on my horrible experience, I would not recommend their service at all.

I paid the extra for the flexi service.
I need to move up my reservation/flight date by a month. Couldn't get a call though from Milawi. No chat option. Airline couldn't help me because you held the ticket. I need the flight in 5 days.

Bad experience ever

The web put the price in USD but when I agree to pay that amount in USD, they change the currency to DKK so I have to pay more than the price and also the service fee for exchange rate too. I consider as the cheat seller.

Not a great experience

I purchased a ticket with wrong date. My mistake 100%. However, when I contact GoToGate to make the change within one hour of purchase, I was told that it wasn't possible. I had a pay a fee in order to change or cancel the trip. Other travel sites and airlines allow free change or cancellation within 24 hour period.

If i could give zero stars I would. Beware if you're trip has multiple "legs" as if you make the first flight they say they do not need to buy the tickets for your next flights. They did this and when I complained they said it is the airline policy. I asked to see the policy and was told we can't show you it. Now we're out $1,000.

Easy to book a flight

DO NOT USE BOOKING.COM PARTNER GO TO GATE TO BOOK YOUR FLIGHTSI am not surprised that they have terrible reviews because the incompetence and abhorrent customer service that I have experienced since I made this booking and more over the past 5 days and my flights are still not rescheduled 5 days from travel is flabbergasting! I have been charged extra for flight changes that weren't not made to my booking. When I enquired why the ch age I paid for were not made to my flight no one responded to this day I have not received a response! The staff are clueless on the escalation process and are unwilling to assist customers to resolve the issue. I have called and messaged them every single day about my flight changes, no contacts me to provide an update and no one has any helpful information to provide. I will never use Go To Gate EVER AGAIN!
