I ordered a transmission for my son's 2001 Acura CL type s. After I ordered it I read reviews. This raised a red flag. I emailed wanting to cancel but was told there would be a restocking fee. This was in the agreement so I decided to leave it be. Shipping was within the time given. Transmission was installed by the Acura dealer. Everything checked out, the transmission shifts smoothly and does appear to be within the stated mileage according to the tech who did the work. At this point I can't complain. These transmissions are known to have problems. I plan on doing a fluid change as recommended yearly by the dealer. Just to be clear, I'll have the dealer do that also. As for now, I have no issues with got transmissions. Joe One note The Dealer did say the handling in shipping was rough but nothing was broken, dip stick was bent but all is well. They sent me a piece that is supposed to be a ******* mile trans looks worse than the one I am replacing what a joke. I guess I'll put it in and hope, but will probably be wasting my time they didn't even bother to plug any holes so I'm sure it's full of dirt. This place is a total joke save your money and buy at your local junkyard.
Bought tranny it was bad, they sent another one, bad, now they will not respond to phone call or e-mails... out $810 plus labor... all bad reviews, should have read them first. We need to get together and do something, any idea`s

Wish I had came to this site first. I hope this helps someone else. DON'T buy anything frome this company. They sent transmission to wrong address then had it returned to them. They took out $940.00 from my account. After getting hung up on several times and left messages that have not been returned they send an email with restocking fees and two shipping fees which are around $200 a piece they say they are putting around $200 back in my account. I am not done with these jerks. Attorney generals in whatever state I have to contact are hearing from me plus my bank will deal with them. BAD BAD BAD company if they are even real. They also put my info on the website saying I was a happy customer.
Only two 5 star reviews? Every other review from multiple web sites, 1 star. I called and submitted for a quote from got transmissions.com and in no way did they ask for the proper information that would have resulted in me getting exactly what I needed. This company and people running it have a reserved spot in hell.
Ordered a automatic transmission for a 1996 Chevy S10 and they sent a 5 speed manual. Could not get a response from them, fortunately I used a registered email service which proved they had received and read my email on several occasions and my bank card provider found in our favor and returned the funds. Don't waste your time and save the aggravation
Who do we report this to in order to prevent this from happening to anyone else? I have so much contempt for this company that after writing each review that I have more hatred of their business and practices more seems to come to mind. I will let all know who may be a Facebook user and beyond. I have written 4 reviews, and I hope they all are shown because each reflects how I really feel about thieves liars and cheats.

You mostly hear the bad stuff and not often good stuff. Things happen when buying used parts. Getting the proper install is important. Hopefully this transmission is as good as it seems to be, if not, I feel they will stand behind it as I've done everything as required.
Today is September 23,2019. According to this company the wrong transmission was order on our part. I really do not see how when all they asked for was the VIN on the ambulance. They sent the transmission and it was not the right one. The company had the transmission picked up on August 5,2019. Since that time we have made several calls and always got the run around. As of today I was told that the transmission picked up is not in the system. I cal BS on that. We still have not gotten a refund nor a real answer as to why. It took them 5 minutes to get payment but has taken almost 4 months to get our money back since they cannot provide us with a transmission for an ambulance. The customer service people are rude and unprofessional. I would not recommend this company to anyone.
I was on the phone with the rep (Josh i think), he gave me a quote of $1850. 00 for a used transmission. I tried to ask questions about the product and he just hung up. Very poor service. I will not be calling back.
They sent us two bad cvt transmissions. They were junk! After telling us they would pay for the labor we have not received a dime. Finally had to get a rebuilt transmission from the dealer put in. We have wasted $3500 on this piece of $#*! company! When you call them they either hang up on you or transfer your call to another line that no one answers. Don't bother leaving a message because they won't call back. How do these crooks stay in business?
To this date I have not heard from Got Transmissions. They have NOT offered a refund of my $1,500 in fact they have avoided me completely. They know very well how they screwed me. I cannot believe this company is still in business and getting away with ripping people off. I am a over 20 yr veteran and to believe I fought for the freedom of companies like this, it's very sad indeed.
I canceled on them and I am going to try and get my restocking fee back. Nobody knows these people, not even in Dallas Texas where their headquarters are. They have no way to contact by email, they lie about the transmissions and delivery dates, they don't return phone calls. Don't be fooled by their website, it is impressive.
Any reputable company returns their phone calls and has an easy to use email for customer service. Any reputable company would have at least one good review online.
Shipped late, bad transmission, doubled labor cost as a result as they did not stand behind part or labor. Pursued and recovered part cost through credit card company. Pursuing labor in small claims court, however hard to locate owner via PO Box. Bad and do not recommend.

Make sure you get owners name and address in the event you end in small claims court. I am now hiring a PI or Bounty to track the owner down to get him in court.

Transmission
Transmission came with damaged throttle cable and could not be installed. I called and was hung up on. I eventually ended up taking it to a shop to see about installing a new one (one end of the cable connects to the car and the other originates inside the transmission). When they opened up the transmission, they found parts of the valve body missing and several components were burnt and damaged including the case itself. Got Transmissions claimed that the unit was inspected, but there is no way this could be true.
I began a charge back with my credit card company (Capital One), but Got Transmissions countered. After a lot of jumping through hoops, gathering testimonies and faxing off info. Capital One denied my claim. They apparently have no desire to counteract fraud.
I am out $695.00, hours and hours of my time and energy and eventually had to give up on my little Corolla. Federal Trade Commission, BBB and any legit class action lawsuits here I come.
Payed for a transmission, and had to call after 3 weeks to remind them. Sent the wrong transmission, and gave me the runaround for 45 days before Dale, the guy who never answered the first month, hung up on me and said he had to take other calls. Please don't throw your money away!

Bought a tranny suppose to have only ******* miles should of known better. Less then ******* miles later it's done and saying they will not over warranty. So 1900. 00 later truck is now going back in shop and getting original one rebuilt for 2800. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!
So glad I checked out this company and read all of the reviews which I did not see one good. For a company to have no phone or e-mail listed is pretty strange. I'm so glad I did my research before ordering a transmission from this shady company
Purchased through this company for a used transmission in 2018. Transmission stopped working after 5 months of use. Asked company for a refund based on warranty but customer service is AWFUL. Company originally agreed to replace with diagnostic but when I called back they went back on there word. STAY AWAY!
I would give this company zero stars if the option was available, my second review by the way, and I had to write this because I see there still in business some how... AMAZING! Customers please be careful & beware. I ordered a transmission from this company approximately 4 years ago. And they sent me a "bad transmission" only after finding out the hard way after being installed by a local mechanic, it blew 5 minutes after it was installed... it was like some kind of sick joke. They got me for $980. I tried contacting them for THREE WEEKS... and left multiple messages on some make shift voice mail... no answer. To make a long story short they got away with it. These people are crooks! Their reviews should be a red flag and give you a clue. DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THEM! It was just on my heart to write this so no one else gets scammed out of their hard earned money. God Bless you all even this company that ripped us off, it was hard for a bit but the Lord saw us through!
They were great. My friend and I cracked a transmission open when bump starting it and well needed a new one. After hearing horror stories or getting transmissions that just don't worked, we saw this shop. We liked how first, we saw the mileage of the transmission and second, how the it was inspected before sending it to us. After a couple emails with them about the numbers on the transmission to confirm it will work on the car, a 1999 Audi a4, and how they knew the mileage we were convinced. We ordered it and had it shipped to a shop and we were pleased. The transmission was secure on a pallet on top of another pallet to help protect it. The transmission was in the condition as advertised and went into the car, my friend and I installed it, nicely and had absolutely no hiccups. It is strange to see all of the negative reviews that I don't remember being there when we ordered the transmission back in early 2012 but maybe things have changed since then :/
It took a month longer than promised to get my transmission, which, whatever, I can wait. I get it and it's junk, actually worse off than the transmission with 400,000 miles I'm replacing (supposedly this one had 69k miles and spent 3 weeks in quality testing). I ask to return it (I'm not even asking for reimbursement for oil, seals, labor, etc- just a straight return) and they tell me I have to have an ASE certified mechanic diagnose the problem so they can decide if they will do a return or if they want to just fix the problem. I have an easy fix you jerks... just let me return it! DONE. Horrible company, a bunch of crooks... DO NOT USE. Their main goal is to scam you out of your hard earned money.
Bought a transmission for a 2005 VW passat form Got transmission. Com about 4 months later had transmission problems so i phoned there warranty department and they said everything was fine. After a few weeks going by i had not heard anything from them so i phoned them again, this is when i found out what they were all about. I got excuces from only having 90 day warranty, to they dont cover if a seal inside the transmission has gone to the warranty does not extend into Canada etc... They had several others, there warranty is worth nothing more than the paper it is written on
This review is way overdue. Bought a 42re for my 96 gr cher larado in dec 2014. Delivered directly to my selected shop in Boyertown PA, installed for an all in cost of $1600. 4 years later the tranny runs perfect. Fluid is fresh and clean. Communications could have been a little better but the product sold to me was top notch. Would recommend without hesitation.

I just got a quote for a remanufactured replacement transmission and it was unbelievalbly low. I almost am scared to believe it is real. I am writing a review before it ships and I hope that I do not have to retract this review later. They are amazing low price and nobody needs a brand new transmission for full price. Good deals on this website.
