This review is for Greystar property management, a multi-state company.

I live at Deer Run Apartments in Brown Deer, WI, and I have been a resident for over 18 years. Since Greystar took over several years ago the quality of life and resident services has steadily trended downhill. Here are a few areas of concern:
1.) Ensuring competence of fire alarm system installers? How about nearly having my door broken down by the Fire Dept. when the alarm origin was actually from a different unit.
2.) Snow removal? Unless they want to shovel their own driveways, residents may be stranded for days after a winter storm. Previous management was much more prompt.
3.) Paying a monthly fee for fitness center maintenance, yet not ensuring that broken equipment is either promptly repaired or replaced.
4.) Summer of 2023 - the swimming pool was out of commission for nearly the entire summer. Another lacking amenity that's part of what I'm paying $1320/month for a single bedroom apartment for.
5.) Failing to support onsite maintenance departments with adequate resources and personnel. Deer Run currently has ONE maintenance man (a very competent one) to take care of 232+ units.

These are some, but definitely not all, areas of concern. Just the ones that have affected me personally.

I AM NOT HAPPY HOW THIS MANAGEMENT COMPANY HANDLE THEIR BUSINESS. I invoiced this company on July 21-2023 about 6 times and today is November 09-2023 and still have not paid me for my locating services. To all Texas real estate companies and Locators please do your research about this company before doing business with them. I have all the proof of what I'm writing.

Tip for consumers:
PLEASE DO YOUR RESEARCH ON THIS COMPANY BEFORE DOING ANY BUSINESS WITH GREYSTAR MANAGEMENT OR THE OASIS AT PINEY POINT APARTMENT AT 9100 WESTHEIMER RD, HOUSTON TEXAS 77063

The only thing this place has going for it are the beautiful apartments and shared spaces. Beyond that, the management is flaky, unresponsive, and inept. I have been a resident for 2 years and have complained about the lack of guest parking several times with emails and in-person meetings. Promises are made but nothing gets done. The gist of the problem is that residents park in guest spots for WEEKS and while cars get tagged for towing, it doesn't happen so people know that management is not serious and continue to park in the very limited guest spots. We live in this beautiful complex but no one can visit because residents take up the guest spots. My guests have either taken an Uber to visit, I go pick them up, or they park on the street and risk getting parking tickets(2 friends got tickets on separate occasions). Other rules they are lax about is garbage in the hallways from residents who don't use the containers or from residents who leave out their garbage all day. At Encasa, this is a case where the inmates are running the asylum and management has no backbone or commitment to enforcing the rules. Below is an example of a car that was parked for 2 months and I got them to tag the car for towing but the owner removed the tag and didn't move their car. I had them tag the car a second time but still nothing happened. No wonder no one takes management seriously. I certainly don't.

Worst so-called luxury apartment in LA.

They sent us a notice that they will be re-painting the building. Little did we know, they didn't let us know in advance that "all of our windows will have tarp over it". First of all, we can't see out the window at all due to the tarp. Secondly, every morning-afternoon they are working on "other" loud construction. The noise sounds like a grinding, wood cutting - I turn up my tv volume to 60 and I still hear it loud and clear. I can't even make phone calls at my own unit or look out the window.

I just talked to resident services and the lady suggested I go use the community room or go outside to get the view. Excuse me? WE are paying rent - why when our windows are completely 100% covered. Does this make sense? Last week I felt so depressed because my windows are covered in tarp (you cannot see through it). We're paying 100% rent when we live in a prison box? They don't even offer us any help with the rent or relocate us while this massive construction is going. It's not just "re-painting" thats just a way to make it sound like a simple task but there's been heavy loud construction noise for weeks. Resident services can't help at all, we're just stuck in our apartment with our windows covered and loud construction noise daily. This is happening for over 2 weeks and this project will not finish for another month. They lied saying its "just" a painting project. I am mortified of this situation and how it's effecting my life. I have been sleeping over at my friends house back and forth, which is 30 minutes away from my apt because I do not want to go to my apartment. We pay $3000/ mo for this place. Reason why we got this place is because of the VIEWS. This construction has impacted my lifestyle to the point I cannot go home. Why are we paying rent exactly? The LEAST they can do is offer compensation and to relocate us if this construction is severely important to them. It's disrupting our lifestyles. Please watch the video (start to finish) to hear the noise that's constantly going off daily.

Rad luxury apartment, Eighth and Grand.

Btw, I'm wearing a mask in my apartment.
