Recently grindr banned my account with no specified reason of it. I did not violate community guidelines. But i can not log in or make a new account at all. I contacted grindr support and they said that the ban will not be lift.
Dose anyone know a solution?
I don't get what the rave's all about with this app when there are better (and safer) ways to find a date. Grindr encourages nasty behavior and many users hide behind fake profiles. It's the last place to find someone to get into a serious relationship with.
Grindr lets anyone to steal pictures, no protection it does not protect gay community. Anyone can get a screenshot and use that picture or post anywhere else. Why Grindr cannot introduce something like a symbol on pictures (for example GR) and if someone uses a picture with with this symbol not allow to upload.
Recently I had a really bad experience. A crazy guy used my pictures as profile picture and described I have STD and drug resistant syphilis. I am a medical professional and I know how to look after myself. The same person used my Instagram in this profile. Grindr does not protect personal information.
Grindr is dangerous. Met the wrong group of gays, who were using meth. So I fell prey. 6 years of he'll on earth. Went from snorting it to injecting it like that. You start to have sex for drugs. It is horrifying if you are under age and you are on, Grindr deleted immediately I've almost been killed. I've been catfish so many times. Or it's a trap and you get killed that way.
I did get some entertainment via this site, but it did not go further. Please do not expect much from Grindr. You can get a lot more on AFGay.com
There are very few real people who are up for meetups and relationship.
If your just out the closet this app will teach u everything u need to learn about identify Genue ppl and those who are fake it good for hookup but if your looking for a long term relationship not the place to be. You will meet normal ppl and those who are let just say have a certain character about them.
Basically the worst. Where to begin? Respect is given and (handsomely) paid (and ohhhh my how expensive Grindr+ costs!) for this atrocity app - the first of its kind me thinks. Technically it buggy AF. It crashes constantly and "lost chats" is so common it should be a pre loaded 'saved phrase' feature. This gay legacy is stacked with users who are whack: catfishes, time wasters, bullies, bluffers and bots.
I can attest that yes good dudes and times are to be had on the platform, but they are few and far between. You (or some Jack-off) will waste countess, precious hours of your life - usually during a time of dire need (and vulnerably) when you genuinely were seeking satisfaction and socialization. The app has killed many young homo's swagger, their social skills and decimated the culture of cruising and nightlife industry. However, Grindr is not intrinsically a bad platform or novelty, but would the world be a better place without the orange scourge: ohhhhh Yes.
I don't hate Grindr as much as everyone else seems to. I think my expectations might just be lower. It's a good app for what it is. Met some cool guys from it in the past. Fianced and I use it still.
It's not the fake profiles or drug dealers as mentioned above. It's their "Customer Service" - Recently, a guy started harassing me, pretending to know who I was / where I lived, etc. etc. I maintained my composure, which was difficult and informed him that I was not interested and asked that he stop contacting me. I reported him as Grindr encourages you to do. That was two weeks ago. I've blocked ever since. Even after multiple appeals (they responded that they made a mistake and my account would be restored. NOPE. Still blocked. So, my advise - NEVER contact them / never report anyone. I'm the victim of harassment. I followed all of the rules and tried to protect other members from this creep, yet, I'm blocked and it makes no sense. No good deed goes unpunished. It's ridiculous and unfair.
Grinder has been purchased by a private gaming company in China. Between each keystroke, you have to sit through a two minute app. A game company in China knows nothing about the community this app was designed for. Since the complete takeover in January, the number, and required viewing time for ads has gone to 7%-80%.
You can't even type a simple sentence to someone without two minute interruptions every few keystrokes. The tone deafness is obvious when one sees ads for hunting, children's games, and birth control. Yes, there are some interested, but I don't think the advertisers would consider the money well spent.
If you like constantly getting messages from fake accounts, I'm talking 30-40 times a day, then you'll love grindr. For every real person that contacts you, there will be 99 that are fake. How do I know they are fake? They use the same "Hello handsome, where are you from? I'm Billy, from Chicago, looking for a life long relationship" script every time they contact you. I can tell within 2 or 3 sentences that the account is fake. Grindr just says report and block them, but this had gotten 100 times worse in the last six months.
I created an account and within 2 weeks, they banned me without factual reason. My experience with Grindr has not been great since things cost money to use the app or you do not find what your really looking for. Images can result to ban or will not allow you to update. They are not the best site to utilize, don't waste your time and try something that actually works.
This app would have to be the worst one out there for the genuine guys looking. Fake profiles, fake pics, rude users, and now bloody talking adverts as well !! Think I'm off to a gay bar, coz I know I can get laid there !!
I don't know how photos, headlines and profile content get reviewed but there is clearly a lack of consistency to what gets allowed and what does not. I cancelled my paid membership after seeing several profiles advertising for sex with dogs - I reported dozens of times, only to see those same profiles reappear. Also, their complaint process and request for support is ridiculously arduous. Clearly they don't want to hear complaints.
So, my account was suspended, apparently because I didn't follow the guidelines. I never wrote anything inappropriate in my profile nor would ever publicly post a nude picture. I've only been on it for like 2 weeks! I contacted them and after reviewing my account they re-implemented it. Then shortly after going back on it, surprise, I was banned again! After reaching out to them, their response was: "Your account will remain permanently banned" and that they can ban people for no reason.
I'm so disappointed with Grinder app,,,, I've stated many times in detail concerning imposters with a false army story and images making contact with me,,,, then all those guys who wish you to log in with a credit card for security purposes before we meet,,,,, it's all smoke and mirrors,,, I'm sure I'm not the only man experiencing false profiles with bad intentions,,,. I've laid out a complaint with no response,,,,,, this app does not insure honourable men!
I was a paying member for a year and played by the rules. Therefore I renewed my membership for a second year. Halfway through my membership, I received a notice that my account was banned. No explanation, no reasoning, no help. Arguing and pressing was futile. Grindr hid behind policy stating they protect their customers, yet leaving me to feel like a predator. Which I can assure you, I'm far from it. I'm certain I'm the victim of identity theft or some strange circumstance of falsification. Nonetheless, Grindr stated that when you're banned, you forfeit your membership fees. No reimbursement or pro rated refund. I'm not saying don't give Grindr a try. But if you're considering a paid membership, go with monthly or 6 months. In case you're wrongfully banned, you won't forfeit a whole year's membership.
It is inadmissible. They delete my account with no notice, directly as a depreciable dictator (maybe because they are in China style as their owners are from there). I denounced to customer service several times about the massive accounts making spam and prostitution. They might find it profitable all the dirty business and my voice was bothering them, so they closed my account. It is a shame. Where are my rights as a consumer, I pay for a whole year subscription and now with no previous advice, they decided to delete my account, and also with no proofs or similarly. It is a shame, we all should fight towards the goal this kind of app business works more transparently, respecting the consumer legislation. Thanks for reading my review.
Grindr appears to ban profiles of innocent individuals who merely reply to offenders to protect themselves but appears to take no notice of serious crimes or insults on behalf of offenders. There is absolutely no policing, particularly with regard to foreign languages. This needs to be improved, otherwise the app should disappear from the market.
Attached you'll find an offender insulting his interlocutor, who insists on wanting to know their origin (although the person is multicultural, with a mixed background), which underlines racist or ethnicist behaviour on behalf of the offender.
An abysmal mess slow annoying and slow. You'd be far better avoiding the rude and nasty and just not interested people who hoover around this site. Go to a bar or join a social group it will be miles better than this awful attempt at geo location chat app. It wont even let you log out so you end up stuck with it till you delete the app
Answer: 19.99. But chances are high that they will ban your profile after you've paid for subscription. Grindr has taken to stealing money from consumers by banning accounts without giving any reason. My patience ran out and I switched to http :// GCamsYou.com I like it much better! Boys provide great entertainment and solid support. No tricks with bogus charges and sudden ban. The best thing was actually having two dates offline! It's early days and I'm going with the flow and see where it goes, but so far it's the best platform I have dealt with. Don't waste your time on Grindr! They have lost touch with reality and turned into a total fraud. Catastrophic quality of people - scammers, bots, fakes, drug-dealers, etc and sneaky "support"! They don't police their own platform and don't value their customers anymore.
Answer: Grindr will only help you if you're straight or bi. They encourage homophobia and homophobic remarks and I have reported someone in the past, but because he was straight, he didn't get banned.
Answer: Yes. Please contact me at petermanwally@gmail.com. I'd like to know more about pursuing legal recourse.
Answer: Because Grindr is inconsistent. What do you expect from a less than mediocre website and obtuse management
