Groupon is selling many vouchers from crooked merchants. A lot of hidden fees are not disclosed on the vouchers. The crooked merchant tried to charge me $25 extra not listed on the voucher. Groupon refused to refund my money. Groupon is a bad company. Do not buy from Groupon. Very bad and lousy customer service.
I booked a reservation through Groupon site 2 months ago for a resort in orlando for the weekend, checking in on saturday and check out sunday. I booked 1 family suite for total of 4 guests for $330 with taxes. Upon checking in the resort, the guest service advised me of 2 family suites listed on reservation. But she was advised that their were only 4 guest accompanying this suite and it was only booked for 1 family suite. I was advised then that a refund be credited back to my account the next day of $247 and upon checking out verify with front desk. I immediatly sent Groupon a message via email advising them of the situation and was told they would follow up and contact me back. 2 weeks go by and in between those weeks I am continuing to follow up with Groupon and they are giving the same response. So I filed a complaint with my bank and i was able to have my bank assist with crediting my acct back, but once my bank investigated the situation, unfortuately they were not able to resolve with Groupon and took the money back out of my acct. At this point groupon is continuing to send me on a run around to provide proof of the overcharge and the are non compliaint with resolving the issue. This site is a scam and not to be trusted. You cannot even speak with a customer service rep to help. I would not recommend this site because they do not acknowledge refunds or their mistakes on their site.
Be awere when using this site, they are bunch of thefts and will steal your money. They stole my credit in my account and purchased Groupon that didn't purchase and refused to refund my money. Don't use this site, wouldn't recommend to no one. Stay away. Could have give zero stars if there was options
Customer service won't respond. Get in touch with customer service through email, just through their own site and they won't respond. This makes it hard to keep a paper trail of your complaints or concerns through your own email
What a nightmare trying to get any help from Groupon customer support. The only way to get support is through email now, and all their support reps are based in India. No offense, but it was clear they don't care to look into your support request, they just use their AI software to type some generic response that doesn't address what's going on. All they kept giving me were these canned, robot-sounding answers that didn't solve squat. To top it off, they asked for my credit card info even though I wasn't buying anything! I knew I shouldn't have given it to them because guess what — there were fraudulent charges on there the very next day. Do yourself a favor, don't use Groupon, you're really not getting a bargain on anything. It's a fraudulent company that is operating on years of corporate cuts to try and remain afloat.
What was once a safe place to purchase and refund if there is any issue has become a scheme that you can't redeem. What once I would have highly recommended, I now strongly dissuade anyone from using.
Purchased the Big Bus day tickets in NYC on Groupon. The transaction didn't appear to go through. Got the ended spinning circle when trying to complete the purchase---waited at least 5 minutes. Finally closed the page. I went to my email to see if I had a confirmation of the purchase. Nothing. Gave up and went to the vendor in person and purchased tickets. An hour later I get an email from Groupon with a purchase confirmation. We've already been on the bus for awhile with the tickets we purchased directly. I've written numerous to Groupon. They don't care. All I get from them is "the purchase is final". So we decide the next day to do the bus tour again since we have these extra tickets. Guess what? The Groupon voucher is expired. Worthless. Don't use Groupon. They suck. You can get just as good of discounts on other sites from the guys selling tickets on street---and they actually work unlike Groupon site and total lack of customer service.
DON'T DO IT. Even after I spoke with a rep who told me that I would receive Groupon Bucks for my purchases, they NEVER gave them to me. Now they say too bad so sad. Supposedly the $$ never expires with the merchant. Don't be lured by the "low" prices and "deals". READ THE FINE PRINT. Most of the merchants will honor the same deal outside of Groupon. Refund policy sucks. If you're lucky you might get Groupon Bucks to use toward something else, but AGAIN... READ the fine print. There's a reason why Groupon is less than a 3 star rating. Go straight to the merchant and you'll still save money!
I ordered an NYC cruise dinner around Manhattan and they immediately refunded me after purchase without any indication of why. They refunded me the total minus the convenience fee of $70 which is a lot of money. I complained and they only offered me a $10 credit. Please stay away from this scam site.
I was unable to use a Groupon purchase that I mistakenly purchased for a different city, I did not ask for a refund, only a credit to use somewhere else, their customer service is not good and they failed to assist what had been a previously satisfied customer.
I purchased a voucher that I decided not to use. Groupon refused a refund and I was issued credits. I used the credits to to get a gift for someone. I gifted the voucher and closed my account over the matter. The merchant refused this voucher, and now Groupon is stating "policy" of a deactivated account in order to keep MY MONEY.
I am owed $66.75.
Instead of reasoning, they just kept stating their criminal "policy" when I took the case to BBB.
The refund and cancellation for services no clearly mentioned. Groupon refuse to issue / process refund,
Purchase is good through 90 days and refund can be done within 24 hours of purchase - inbred color Groupon must list exception and refund and returns. Sales Marketing Falsification
Is no help when you have a problem using your Groupon. Bought a Groupon and merchant would never
Answer the phone or call back to schedule an appt. Notified Groupon and they were no help. Wasted $36.00
On 09/20/2023 I purchased 2 Groupons for the Island Spa in NJ. Upon arrival, I learned that the spa follows NJ State rules and regulations, and I would have to use a hot tub with a naked man who is transgender. I don't believe for a minute that there is a law in NJ that requires a woman to get in a hot tub with a person who has a penis. I requested a refund from Groupon immediately, and I got a refund for one voucher. I contacted Groupon's customer service the following day, and requested a refund for the 2nd voucher. I spoke to two representatives. The 1st one was Karishma Banu. She told me that she would come back with the resolution. I waited for 20 minutes, but she never did. The 2nd one was Samvel E. This representative told me that I already used one voucher and told me to get a confirmation email from Island spa confirming that I never used the voucher. I requested him to send me an image that says that the voucher was used because my voucher was clearly stating that it was not used. I also pointed out to him that the website allows me to exchange this voucher for Groupon bucks. Why would I get Groupon bucks for the used voucher? Clearly, Groupon doesn't want to follow their own policy, and doesn't care about their own reputation. Groupon stock price dropped from $75.40 down to $11.30. I understand why. GROUPON, STOP STEALING FROM YOUR CUSTOMERS!
I've been a customer for over 10 years. I recently purchased a Groupon for cozy maids housecleaning. Never could get ahold of anyone to make appointment. Groupon claims it's been redeemed on 2 different occasions which never happened and I'm out close to $100. They won't do anything until i show them it's never been redeemed, which is impossible because the phone number for Homeaglow (Cozy Maids) doesn't work and they haven't responded to 3 emails I've sent. Stay away
Bought an experience from Groupon. The company for it cancelled my reservation and Groupon refused too return my money because it was after 3 days. I talked with their customer service multiple times and had to restart my conversation everytime,a company like Groupon should have a system in place to review old customer service tickets. I got the run around repeatedly and have yet to get my money back.
Their site is glitchy and initially said my order failed due to expired card. They sent a link to correct and it basically has got repeat the order and that one went through. The first order said pending failed.
Now I see on credit card that it eventually got re-charged after card entry was fixed so now have an extra set of tickets I did not want.
They will not refund stating because of agreement with certain vendors or some such bull$#*! even though it was their site that messed this up.
Never again! Be forewarned.
Can't get a refund even though credit card company.only get "Groupon bucks" which are trash that you can use to buy junk from China.f this POS company.they can suck on my Jimmy Johnson
Groups used to be a great way to purchase tickets at a deal. Now everything about it sucks. Customer service is a bunch of Hindis who don't want to help you and the care is in the toilet. And good luck on trying to update anything in your account. I've used this site for years and it WAS a great site. But it's been a couple of years since I've used it and will never use it again. I tried 3 different cards to make a purchase and got the same message everytime, invalid number. Nothing invalid about my cards.
Groupon was bought by a new company & they are shady. They already have a class action suit against them & sold me a Groupon for an out of business company & would only issue Groupon bucks - even though the offer was fraudulent. Never buy anything under this new ownership!
Answer: Yes, Groupon is legit. You need to read the fine print before ordering live event tickets- -they will not refund your money even if it's there fault. I only buy tickets for activities that don't expire or you can use the purchase price towards a non-Groupon service the vendor offers. Hope this helps.
Answer: Yes, report it but using social media is a very effective way to get a companies attention. Spread the word, Groupon does not honor returns!
Answer: I usually call the merchants I am interested in before buying the coupons, and ask them if the groupon coupons work, and how much more I have to pay. You could do the same, contact the merchants you are interested in and ask them how groupon works for them?
Answer: Groupon usually sends a tracking # via email If not do as the other people suggested, check My Groupons
Answer: I wish I could say why, but a solution might be to contact Call Curtis, or your local News station that helps with consumer issues. They always seem to get fast resolutions, because companies hate BAD TV PUBLICITY.
Answer: I personally do not trust groupon. The question previous to yours printed on this site should answer your question as to its reliaiblity
Answer: The one I took by Holly and Hugo at least were I would research the company before buying. Also about twice a year they put all their courses for $5! I got mine completed it and it helped boost my resume and I was able to get a vet assistant job pretty quickly compared to before where I only got a call back from about one place which didn't lead anywhere. :) hope I could help!
Answer: Well, it's not Ideeli anymore... it's been Ideel for about a year now I think. Yes, there is a customer support phone number. I've had nothing but good experiences from Ideel in all regards - product satisfaction, price, shipping, etc. - but I've never had to contact customer service so I don't know what you'll get, but they're phone number is (888) 835-1719.
Answer: They are the absolute worst about answering customer service complaints. They will lie, they literally told me customer service reps were out sick, thus no answer to my emails for about 2 weeks. But, don't loose hope, the DAY I posted a review on this site, they answered AND gave me a 25.00 credit for my trouble. So write a review on Site Jabber with all the details and a bet a manager will answer promptly. As this is their way, I NEVER ordered from the site again after at least 3 years of orders. Good Luck and don't leave a sordid detail out of your complaint.
