I recommend deleting this app. Read the refund policy as the service is not built to support errors, but to simply take your money. I purchased an MMA class for two of us and when brought to the MMA class was informed that they are not accepting Groupons, however, I can join directly. After reaching out to Groupon for a credit I was informed that they would 'gladly issue groupon bucks'. Haha. I don't need Groupon to hold onto my MONEY. Just provide a refund to the cc they rapidly charged. Watch out folks... sneaky company.
Be aware of "Final Sale". I just paid over $100 for coupons for Architecture Tour of Chicago (boat ride) that turned out to be worthless, because I couldn't use them during Labor Day Weekend (which was the reason for purchasing) Then they refused to return my money because the sales were "final". What?! They cannot return my money I paid for an e-mail with bar codes I didn't use? Not to mention that it was just $7 off of original ticket price ($36 vs $43). I ended up buying another tour for $39 dollars directly from Wendella Tours & Cruises website. Total scam! Please do not use Groupon. Such dishonest company has to go out of business!
Purchase a resort deal online Groupon for room. No fine print was present when I got to the hotel to check in they told me I have to pay another large sum of money. Groupon is and scam I have no idea there has to be paid same amount resort said it was for booking on groupon. Their fee Resort fee top of that. When I checked with Groupon they told me that I needed to read your fineprint not everyone knows about their fINE print. Why CAN'T THEY
BE HONEST AND PUT IT IN PLAIN VIEW so you can see WHAT YOU ARE GETTING INTO. They did not want to return ANY OF my money. Obviously THEY ARE CROOKS IN DISGUISE. CAN'T TRUST THEIR Behavior.
Placed an order. Bank processed payment. Received email from Groupon that payment failed. Couldn't respond back to email. Called. Recording gave email address for questions. Email address failed. Received a failed transaction email everyday saying they would process again in a few days. Live chat with rep. They hung up on me. Live chat with rep. Said no charges due on their end. "No worries" said rep. I said I want emails and another payment to stop. "No worries" said rep. Waiting to see what happens.
We booked a Creek Cat Tour through Groupon for our recent trip to HHI. The company called us three days after original booking to tell us that when we booked their creek cats were down and that on that date, they were STILL down. We cancelled immediately, received a cancellation notice and requested a Groupon refund to the credit card issued within an hour of the cancellation. Groupon claims that the voucher was viewed and despite the cancellation notice, they refuse to issue a refund. I have informed them that the card used was not mine and that my boyfriend would like to be refunded in full. They will only issue Groupon bucks despite me telling them that after this ordeal I NEVER plan to use their services again. Do NOT use Groupon. If the company cancels due to COVID19 or maintenance issues after a certain time period (usually too late for you to do anything about it) they will NOT issue you a refund in full which will tie up your funds. Their customer service is the worst and they are not customer friendly. DO NOT USE GROUPON!
DO NOT use groupon! I purchased a couple of car detailing vouchers totaling $160. After speaking with the business owner, turns out they were not accepting groupon vouchers! Groupon has a 3 day cancellation policy (which is a scam) so I was unable to get my money back! (It's been 2 weeks since I bought vouchers) They refunded me in groupon bucks. Shady & scamy!
I ordered face masks from Groupon on May 7,2020. They charged my credit car immediately. I have been waiting patiently for my merchandise to arrive for almost 4 months believing the delay is related to Covid issues. Finally tried to contact Groupon to check on the merchandise to find out there is no customer service support any more on their website. Eventually I forwarded my complaint to their merchant customer support which looks like is still functioning. I received a reply about a week later giving me instruction where to click on the website for my order details. None of the instruction of phone numbers given to me are working. Left messages but no one is returning my calls. Tried to work with customer service chat, no response. Looks like Groupon has closed operations and is near bankruptcy.
I would absolutely put negative stars if possible. RIP OFF and their customer service is HORRIBLE! They are so rude and treat you like you're stupid. I accidently purchased something twice and immediately cancelled after a month it was still pending and so I reached out to the customer service chat. They said that I could only get a refund if I cancelled within three days- well that's what I though I had done since what I clicked was the only option on there. Then when I asked why my "credit" (the only thing they could do) was $10 less than what I purchased, they "ended the chat". Such disgusting customer service!
Items not received. All my emails unanswered for months. When they finally responded they Would not refund saying it was too late. Never again. You only get me once..
Contacted Groupon to inquire about a voucher I purchased that I was unable to use because of COVID restrictions. I spoke with the merchant and the merchant referred me to groupon's website that says they will cancel the Groupon, issue bucks and then I could repurchase a non expired voucher For the merchant from the current promotion. Groupon's website also specifically says they are "cancelling" and issuing Groupon bucks for this situation(can't use because of COVID).
That is false. They will not cancel and issue Groupon bucks in this situation. So, BEWARE if you are considering any purchase on this site.
I had a very long unproductive conversation with their customer support on this issue. I explained the situation, referred them to their website. They didn't care just said they will not refund. Thinking it might be a poorly trained service rep I asked them to check with a supervisor, but the said Groupon is not escalating this issue to supervisors.
So, buyer beware, do not rely on what this website says in the COVID section.
I bought a VIP pass to an event on June 20th a few days before the event then I receive an email saying the event was postponed till May 1st and I didn't want to wait so I asked for a refund but Groupon didn't want to give me my money back
I will not use groupon again. They are bogus and like to take advantage of people. Three times I have bought a Groupon and gotten screwed out of my money. 20 groupon bucks what am I going to do with that instead of refunding my hardworking cash. I don't even use groupon enough to redeem goupon bucks. I don't recommend them.
Buyers beware: Groupon has a slick process to snare customers for their merchants! Groupon makes you view the voucher in order to get to the merchant's details and 'fine print' - the 'fine print doesn't transparently communicate shipping costs, so you have to navigate to checkout to find out - a $4.49 sketchpad offer in Groupon would cost an additional $7.20 for shipping (merchant is Qualtry)- outrageous for a sketchpad! Try to get a refund? - No: Groupon says 'you viewed the voucher so we can't refund, trade or exchange" - but you couldn't find out you were being gouged by the merchant UNLESS YOU VIEW THE VOUCHER and started the redemption process! I've been up and down with Groupon customer service, with no change in outcome... very disappointed, and I will be sharing with anyone who will listen!
I was told that Groupon could not accommodate my request for a refund "due to current circumstances, which have limited our resources". I replied that "due to current circumstances, I am unable to use my Groupon". I think it's hypocritical that Groupon would use Covid as an excuse for not issuing a refund but Covid is not a good enough reason for me to not be able to use the Groupon. It appears that Groupon's position is that I should have gone to the restaurant and hacked Covid all over the place.
I was charged for a product I never got. Now I'm out $46.99 and got nothing out of it, I'm very disappointed. Don't buy from Groupon!
No one answer and the electronic card they use was declined and hotels was all full and no one answer and i need my money back this is scam and i have 2 kids and i need to drive 4 hours back home
I need some one to call me or tell me something
I used to use Groupon a lot - for local activities and it was great. But recently I was duped into signing up for Groupon select - a recurring charge you cannot cancel for six months. After the six months, it's impossible to cancel via the website, there is no link to unsubscribe. You get to talk to "customer service" via chat - who tries to hard sell you on not cancelling. And it's obvious that their customer service has been outsourced to India. SMH, won't be using them again.
I'm a merchant who tried using their services to promote my business. They refuse to take down the vouchers even though I'm currently making nothing in lockdown. Also, if your voucher expires before you get to use it, Groupon keeps all that money. Just a greedy, dodgy company.
I purchased Orlando, then they take me hours away. When I try to cancel no option. I tried to cancel but they would not accept the cc I purchased with.
The worst company I have ever had dealing with.
Sold us a vowcher cancelled by the seller. We contacted the seller who advised they have told groupon to stop selling this vowcher as ther are over subscribed.
Woprdt customer service I have ever come across, completely ignorant of customer care, and oblivious to the fact that this was a cancellation by the seller and refused to give us a refund, pretty much saying that the credit was as good as we was going to get.
They then asked that we contact ther reseller and get them to confirm to groupon that they cancelled the vowcher, so that we could then email groupon to confirm this.
SO BEWARE, you may have to do all the donkey work to get a refund as Groupon do not want to confirm that their sellers a valid or are actually offering the product groupon are selling.
Answer: Yes, Groupon is legit. You need to read the fine print before ordering live event tickets- -they will not refund your money even if it's there fault. I only buy tickets for activities that don't expire or you can use the purchase price towards a non-Groupon service the vendor offers. Hope this helps.
Answer: Yes, report it but using social media is a very effective way to get a companies attention. Spread the word, Groupon does not honor returns!
Answer: I usually call the merchants I am interested in before buying the coupons, and ask them if the groupon coupons work, and how much more I have to pay. You could do the same, contact the merchants you are interested in and ask them how groupon works for them?
Answer: Groupon usually sends a tracking # via email If not do as the other people suggested, check My Groupons
Answer: I wish I could say why, but a solution might be to contact Call Curtis, or your local News station that helps with consumer issues. They always seem to get fast resolutions, because companies hate BAD TV PUBLICITY.
Answer: I personally do not trust groupon. The question previous to yours printed on this site should answer your question as to its reliaiblity
Answer: The one I took by Holly and Hugo at least were I would research the company before buying. Also about twice a year they put all their courses for $5! I got mine completed it and it helped boost my resume and I was able to get a vet assistant job pretty quickly compared to before where I only got a call back from about one place which didn't lead anywhere. :) hope I could help!
Answer: Well, it's not Ideeli anymore... it's been Ideel for about a year now I think. Yes, there is a customer support phone number. I've had nothing but good experiences from Ideel in all regards - product satisfaction, price, shipping, etc. - but I've never had to contact customer service so I don't know what you'll get, but they're phone number is (888) 835-1719.
Answer: They are the absolute worst about answering customer service complaints. They will lie, they literally told me customer service reps were out sick, thus no answer to my emails for about 2 weeks. But, don't loose hope, the DAY I posted a review on this site, they answered AND gave me a 25.00 credit for my trouble. So write a review on Site Jabber with all the details and a bet a manager will answer promptly. As this is their way, I NEVER ordered from the site again after at least 3 years of orders. Good Luck and don't leave a sordid detail out of your complaint.
