I'm back with providing feedback on Ideel.com. After many months as a reasonably happy shopper with this website, I have learned that Groupon had recently acquired Ideel.com. Ever since the acquisition, Ideel.com stops responding to emails or Live Chat. If you have customer grievance, good luck to you. Their return policy has changed for the worse, i. E., you no longer get free return shipping for credits. You get original payment back but have to pay a hefty $8.95 return shipping fee. At this point, I cannot get in touch with any customer service agent to even inquire about combining shipping fee for items from different orders. I also received an item whose color is different from the one stated on the website and I cannot get in touch with anyone to inquire about it. And then the return window for this item just closes so quickly and now I'm stuck with the item. Groupon has got their act together faster and get customer service back to an acceptable level at Ideel.com or I'll take my business elsewhere!
I am 100% coming to the conclusion that Groupon is a total BUYER BEWARE. I will start this by saying that I am still fighting with Groupon to get my money back from just the Groupon purchase, but the services that I bought were not what was provided. I purchased 2 HVAC air duct cleaning Groupons for a company called Expert Air Duct Pros. On my appointment date, two men came out to "clean" and told me I had severe mold and issues so I needed to pay an ungodly amount more to have that all treated. Needless to say, I did not pay nearly what he quoted me, but did pay $355 extra to sanitize and clean our unit. Upon completion, Nick Thurman gave me his card, and on it was a company called Affordable Duct Cleaning. NOT the company from which I contracted with Groupon for service. Long story short, 12 hours later, at 4:37AM we had a fire in the HVAC unit that Nick had just "cleaned." Luckily we are all fine, but had to repair all the fire damage and this Nick Thurman from Affordable Duct Cleaning was not receptive to returning any of my money. Stay away!

I purchased this groupon in Oct. 2014. I went to Texas to visit my daughter, Catherine. We were going to San Antonio to see the Alamo. I purchased the Omni on the River Walk in San Antonio. When we arrived at the Omni on the River Walk they told us that the Groupon was not with them. That what YOU advertised and the Groupon I purchased (Omni on the River Walk). My husband and I are both handicapped that is why we purchased this getaway to be on the River Walk... You misrepresented this and am very dissatisfied. I was told our reservation was 25 min. Away from the River Walk... not what you stated in your advertisement. My daughter called you Groupon people twice and she said they were VERY, VERY rude to her to try and settle this matter. I hope you will read over your policies and try to resolve this in a friendly matter. I was cheated out of a stay that YOU advertised. I am very upset that I did not get to stay where I wanted too. I hope you can resolve this and get back to me ASAP. Unhappy customers.

Buyer beware! My daughter-in-law purchased 2 $25 gift cards as Christmas gifts. When we went to use one of them, the card had a remaining balance on it of only $5.32. Evidently it had already been used by someone.
Purchased Body Shop Groupon 15$ for 30$. In the store instead of letting me use Groupon for present price made me use original price. I won't be going to this store again. Defeated the purpose of saving money!
OMG... This is the worst experience and an outright fraud that this company is into.
I ordered some tickets on the 17th of December, for which they guaranteed delivery within 7 days. I called them before ordering and this was confirmed by them.
After ordering (*******S9X), days just kept passing and on every call, they kept on telling the 7 days deadline... even when the deadline was long over:)
I kept checking with them and their courier partner everyday.
And then to my horror, they said that the order has already been delivered?
What? I have used multiple online purchases, and I may have suffered late delievery or defective product, BUT NEVER IN MY LIFE, HAVE I SEEN SUCH OUTRIGHT FRAUD... that the money is taken and the company claiming that the product is delivered.
BEWARE OF SUCH FRAUD COMPANIES PEOPLE...
I wish I could give 0 stars. I just purchased tickets to Blue Man Group and no where in the fine print does it state age limitations. They won't refund my money. This used to be one of my favorite companies. I wonder what has happened. Lately, it seems as if everyone you talk to has a "I'm sorry, but there's nothing I can do" attitude. What a change! They lost a customer today.
In addition, they say you can only cancel the purchase on the day of the purchase, but I sent an e-mail and they were too busy to get back to me. Or maybe that's the way they do it so you can't get a refund. In any event, Goodbye Groupon. I'm no longer a fan!
I've tried to work with Groupon's so called Customer Service but I believe that it is outsourced and they have a poor grasp of the English language. They seem to send out standard formatted emails that never address the real problem that I'm having with one of their products. They are still selling groupons for a seasonal business here in Chattanooga, Tn with a 180 day expiration date but the business is closed for 150 of those days during the winter and the worst is that they're still selling them while the business is closed for the winter and into mid-spring. With any seasonal business their days of operation should be stated before someone would purchase the groupons!
Complaint Description:
I made two purchases on groupon, one for $17 and another for $116 which i cancelled both immediately. Groupon notified me that i will receive my refund within ten business days. It has been 15 days and still no refund. They emailed me some mambi jambo about my banks claim departnent nit depositing the money to my account. This is unacceptable and i would like to get my refund immediately.
Purchased Delray Easy Care 6 Piece Cotton Sheet Set that was a good deal except for the fact that they only lasted a month! Customer service kept telling me about their 14 day return policy. How well a company stands by the products they sell tells you a lot about that company. Now I know and will not buy from them again!
On September 24,2014 I bought 2 groupons for carpet cleaning. As soon as I purchased them I called to make appointments to have the carpets cleaned. I could not get an appointment until February 2015. I was having a big party in early November and needed the carpets cleaned before the party. I explained my situation to the cleaning company and that I needed to cancel my order. She told me I would have to call Groupon. I called the phone # I had for them and got a recording that said there was a 45 minute wait. I decided that was too long and I would call later. The next AM I called again and the wait time was 55 minutes. I hung up and looked on their web site for another phone # or an email I could contact them on. No luck. I called American Express, explained the situation and asked them to not pay Groupon. They said OK and contacted Groupon. Groupon said I did not contact them to cancel so I had to pay.
Do they really expect people to wait on the phone for 45 to 55 minutes for anything!
I hired someone else to clean the carpets (not through Groupon). They don't need to be cleaned again but I have to pay for the Groupon Coupons so I called the business today and their earliest appointment is May 20,2015. I will use this coupon so as to not waste my money but I will never use Groupon again for anything.
Kim Barker Seattle, WA.
I had to pay for them so today I made an appointment and the earliest they can come out is May 20,2015.
Groupon is good until you have a customer service issue. Then they just like to talk in circles and never solve the issue. They sound like robots reading a screen and unwilling to actually work towards resolving the issue.
HORRIBLE! It is apparent that Groupon does NOT research or review the products they sell and definitely does not stand behind their junky products. I am so upset and will NEVER purchase anything from them again. On top of that, I realized the junky product I purchased for a Christmas present was sold at Amazon.com for a cheaper price, but Amazon will refund in full. Groupon says they are giving you a deal, but they aren't. Don't be fooled like I was and do your research!
TERRIBLE customer service, buyers beware. I ordered and paid for an
IPad Air 32 gb and they sent me a 16 gb and refuses to exchange for the correct product... makes absolute no sense to me. Even if out of stock they have the capability
Of buying the correct model from any retailer out there but they refuse and couldn't even
Give me a reason why. Will never shop at groupon again.
Hey guys. So I ordered a coat on this website for the first time about two days ago. I read someone else having this problem, but I'm still a little bit confused about it. Apparently there is an authorization hold on your card? So they first charged my card once for $96.01, and then again for $96.46 (which is the actual price of the coat). So I was confused looking at my bank account. I only ordered one thing, so what is this charge of $96.01? I called customer service, left a message, and a nice lady called back a couple hours later and told me that it's some authorization hold, similar to what hotels do. But I have no idea why a clothing store would do this? Apparently the charge should be dropped and returned to my account after it is shipped, but why the heck do they do this in the first place? Does anyone know why they do this? I'm keeping my eye out on my account to make sure the money returns to my account after it's shipped, but I still think it's really weird. Why not just take the regular amount right when you order it instead of pretty much charging you twice, then returning half of it back to you after it's shipped? I've never heard of a clothing store doing this, it doesn't make any sense. Anyone know the reasoning behind this? Seems really sketchy to me.
But my mom and sister order from this website all the time and usually never have problems. Maybe they just never noticed the authorization hold before? They say the products are usually really good.
(I'll write another review after everything is hopefully worked out!)
What a complete and total nightmare. The first Groupon I bought, the merchandise did not arrive and did not arrive. There is no Groupon customer service number that works. They do not respond in a timely fashion to emails. There was no phone number for the merchant and barely any email response from the merchant... and then, when I finally argued them into sending the merchandise, it was worth a very, very small fraction of what it was supposed to be. I will never do Groupon again.
Awful awful awful. I'm so upset about the products, refund policy and customer service. I will never never shop through them again. EVER, Do yourself a favor and avoid a headache. Amazon has awesome prices and stellar service compared to these people!
I recently order over 2000. 00 worth of goods from groupon, all of which were way before the crazy christmas rush. The total amount of items were 20 and out of the 20 i have only received 9 items. The others apparently were lost in the mail from ups and usps. I was told by both ups and usps that i would need to speak with groupon due to the fact that groupon's account does not cover any type of investigation. 1 of the items that were ordered was a diamond ring that i paid well over 500.00 for. When I opened the box it was to my surprise that the ring was not in there. I spoke with Groupon over 20 times regarding the matter and was told it was not their problem they will not be issuing any type of refund and will not be sending out any products. Basically its my issue and I need to figure it out. The rest of the items included tablets, computers, jewelry, etc. (Christmas Gifts). I normally dont do online shopping but this year due to work and a new baby I was unable to really go out and shop so i figured "hey lets use groupon" BIG BIG BIG MISTAKE. NOW IM OUT MY MONEY AND I DONT HAVE THE PRODUCTS. I am currently getting law enforcement, and a lawyer involved. GROUPON is a FRAUD. BE CAREFUL USING THEM. I DEFINITELY NEVER WILL EVER AGAIN! THE CUSTOMER SERVICE SUPPORT IS EXTREMELY RUDE, AND UNPROFESSIONAL.
HORRIBLE HORRIBLE COMPANY. Never will buy anything from them again. They sent me the wrong item which was supposed to be my daughter's Christmas present and no response from customer service for 2 days, contact them again, and all they would do is refund my money. Never will shop with them again. If ZERO stars was an option, that is what they would get.
Hi Salomeh,
Thank you for providing your feedback here on SiteJabber. I'm very sorry you recieved a wrong item and will be happy to help resolve it. Due to the holiday volume, the agents may have taken slightly longer than normal to get back to you and I do apologize for that. Since we keep very little inventory, it's not always possible to replace a wrong item but we do want to help the best way possible and issue a refund if the correct item isn't in stock.
I'd like a chance to check and see if the correct item is in stock and if we can make it available for you. Please provide me with the order number and name of the item and I'll be happy to check into this and help you resolve it. Thanks so much for being a part of Ideel and for allowing me to try and resolve this issue for you.

Let me start by saying that my children are not spoilt and I am generally an easy going person but thanks to Groupon, my daughter won't be receiving her Christmas present this year. Her iPad, I have been informed (after I chased it up) won't be arriving. No explanation! I purchased prior to the Christmas rush and my daughter has been eagerly waiting for the last 3 weeks for her anticipated parcel (required for school). At no time was I advised it would not be honoured by the hard sell but soft on service Groupon! So much for the tracking system which also failed to provide accurate details. I have used Groupon on a number of occasions but NEVER again. I will do my online shopping with Living Social. Buyer beware! Liz
Answer: Yes, Groupon is legit. You need to read the fine print before ordering live event tickets- -they will not refund your money even if it's there fault. I only buy tickets for activities that don't expire or you can use the purchase price towards a non-Groupon service the vendor offers. Hope this helps.
Answer: Yes, report it but using social media is a very effective way to get a companies attention. Spread the word, Groupon does not honor returns!
Answer: I usually call the merchants I am interested in before buying the coupons, and ask them if the groupon coupons work, and how much more I have to pay. You could do the same, contact the merchants you are interested in and ask them how groupon works for them?
Answer: Groupon usually sends a tracking # via email If not do as the other people suggested, check My Groupons
Answer: I wish I could say why, but a solution might be to contact Call Curtis, or your local News station that helps with consumer issues. They always seem to get fast resolutions, because companies hate BAD TV PUBLICITY.
Answer: I personally do not trust groupon. The question previous to yours printed on this site should answer your question as to its reliaiblity
Answer: The one I took by Holly and Hugo at least were I would research the company before buying. Also about twice a year they put all their courses for $5! I got mine completed it and it helped boost my resume and I was able to get a vet assistant job pretty quickly compared to before where I only got a call back from about one place which didn't lead anywhere. :) hope I could help!
Answer: Well, it's not Ideeli anymore... it's been Ideel for about a year now I think. Yes, there is a customer support phone number. I've had nothing but good experiences from Ideel in all regards - product satisfaction, price, shipping, etc. - but I've never had to contact customer service so I don't know what you'll get, but they're phone number is (888) 835-1719.
Answer: They are the absolute worst about answering customer service complaints. They will lie, they literally told me customer service reps were out sick, thus no answer to my emails for about 2 weeks. But, don't loose hope, the DAY I posted a review on this site, they answered AND gave me a 25.00 credit for my trouble. So write a review on Site Jabber with all the details and a bet a manager will answer promptly. As this is their way, I NEVER ordered from the site again after at least 3 years of orders. Good Luck and don't leave a sordid detail out of your complaint.
Groupon is the largest "daily deal" site, selling vouchers for discounted local experiences and services such as restaurants and spas, as well as travel packages, shopping, and a number of other items. Vouchers are purchased upfront and typically must be redeemed by a certain date, after which time Groupons expire. To businesses Groupon markets itself as a way to drive new customers. Groupon is a public company (NASDAQ: GRPN) and is based in Chicago, IL.
Hi Hien,
Thanks for giving us feedback here on SiteJabber. I'm really sorry for this inconvenience and the fact the our Loss Prevention department mistakenly canceled your account. I believe you should have received an email and phone call to resolve this issue from one of our Customer Service Supervisors. I hope he was able to fully resolve this to your satisfaction.
Your new account should be open with the store credit from your return as well as the First Row membership provided to you by the supervisor you worked with. He should have also given you a promotional code to use as an apology for this issue. It seems that Loss Prevention had your account caught up in one of the filters they use to monitor member accounts on the site when it should not have been a part of the group it was placed with. If this issue has not been fully resolved to your satisfaction, please let me know and I will be happy to help you resolve anything outstanding. Thank you so much for being a part of Ideel!
