I purchased a number of items from Group On. One item I received: a swaro. Red element heart. It looked very cheap. I will return it. On December 5,2013 I purchased a 3-pack of Stuhrling Original Men's Watches. The order has not been fulfilled to date (12/16/13), I emailed Group On and received a response alerting me that they have been too busy to address the matter. As a result, I have requested Group On to cancel all others orders that have not been fulfilled and a refund made to my card asap.
I would not advise purchasing anything from this site. There customer service is scrapping the bottom of the barrel and the one product received was/is definitely "cheap" looking.
I have receiving emails for years and don't use them I tried to unsubscribe but groupon told me my email was not recognized. Funny I just deleted about 10 emails. I called and the customer service agent was unable to help. I asked to speak to her supervisor and she said she couldn't give me a name which I know she legally has to do. I told her that and she put me on hold then groupon hung up on me. I will keep trying but this is lousy. How can I be receiving emails but be unrecognized?
False advertising! I purchased a camera package on May 15: camera body, 2 lenses, bag, and lens cleaning kit. In about 2 weeks I received a camera body and one lens. After emailing 5 times, Groupon support finally said I couldn't get the rest of the purchase and offered to accept it in return or refund $30--for a telephoto lens, bag, and cleaning kit!
I purchased a package and should have received the entire package, not an opportunity to print a return label and then cart the package to the post office.
I've just returned it today so I can't comment on the refund process.
I have used groupon for years, spent thousands. I had a dispute and was dealing with rude customer service agents who deactivated my account instead of resolving the issue. According to Stephen K. It is their right at anytime. So be warned paid for and unused groupons are unattainable. They deactivated with no warning. Their customer service held against me reasons as I wanted a refund for a business that has closed their doors before the Groupon expired. They have lost a loyal customer and Groupon gift giver, I will make sure everyone I know and deal with deactivates and deletes Groupon before they are treated in the same manner.
I have ordered 6 items from Groupon since its going to be my Festive Season. Out of 6 orders, 2 orders has been sent to me very late and that I have to contact them several times. 2 of my orders was been cancelled after more than a month and yes I have received one of the refund and still waiting for another refund without giving any compensation.
Two of my orders been cancelled after SEVERAL CALLS AND EMAILS to them. Last email written by them after my call complaining of not receiving my item. One of the statement saying that they have delivered the item to me! WTH! So do they actually get the message of my call saying that I did not receive the Item. Contacted them again and one of the customer service said that we will refund you back.
I really dun expect their Service is so bad. Need customers to call and send emails to them several time but nothing happened and in the end "We will refund you back" that will be after more than a month.
This company alows unreputable companies to advertise a Groupon on their site. Then, when everything falls through, no one has to make it good, and you are out your money. AGAIN, RUN, don't walk, away from this site!
Update:
I just bought two VoIP systems. They mistakenly sent me one. When I request to send the other, they told me they cannot for no reason. They said "I would be happy to issue $30.00 in Groupon Bucks" for the item of $100 that I did not receive. This is cheating.

I have been using Groupon for quite sometime. I like the deals shown on the site. Pros are some deals are very good. So when I find one I am looking for, I buy it. Cons are item is not always available. I also recommend to remove and stop selling any adult items. As criticized, some items are not very good and sold as a deal. But also good items are also sold as cheap. So you should know what you need and buy it. I often compare with Alazon and eBay for the price and decide where to buy.
So far I have bought and used 3 groupons: One for a chemical peel facial that was fantastic and half price. One for cupcakes that were expensive but got to try them cause of groupon. I would not rush out for the cupcakes again, but they were better than I have made so far. Lastly, organic produce for my Mom, yet to manifest but seems like it will work out. I do not know if the referral money worked, I have yet to find out. I hope I do not have to come back in and change this review. SO far, very happy with them.
Do not bother ordering a gift card through Groupon if you would like it delivered sometime this century. It took a week to "process" the gift card request (even though my credit card was charged for it immediately), and the card was not sent through DHL until the following week. It took nine days for this card to reach the recipient who lives in the same state only two hours away -- and Groupon could not confirm the card was received since it could not track it. I had to call Cashstar, and it could not track it, either, until a supervisor looked it up to confirm it was received. I will NEVER do business with Groupon again.
I purchased a restaurant coupon and I did not receive any proves nor coupons.
It clearly says that there was a transaction made on my bank account but I did not receive my coupon.
So I contacted customer service, and a woman assisted me but she ended chat by saying that she will assist me via e-mail. I did receive an e-mail but it was not a support e-mail. It was a chat log from the recent live chat. Well, I still sent the picture of my transaction but there is no reply.
Please stay away from this site.
Its just a huge scamming site.
I've tried to work with Groupon's so called Customer Service but I believe that it is outsourced and they have a poor grasp of the English language. They seem to send out standard formatted emails that never address the real problem that I'm having with one of their products. They are still selling groupons for a seasonal business here in Chattanooga, Tn with a 180 day expiration date but the business is closed for 150 of those days during the winter and the worst is that they're still selling them while the business is closed for the winter and into mid-spring. With any seasonal business their days of operation should be stated before someone would purchase the groupons!
I bought 12 Bottles of Fruit-Infused Moscato from Afternoon Delight from Groupon.
The wine taste so bad and i decided to write a review to make other consumer aware of it. And the url i write review only has 9 people reviewed with 3 1/2 start rating.
https://www.groupon.com/deals/gg-6-or-12-bottles-govino-wine-glasses
But on the other url for the same product shows 5250 rating (at the time i checked) and i can't view detail of the review at all.
https://www.groupon.com/deals/afternoon-delight-1-48
I think Groupon is helping their client to cover the bad reviews.
If this is true, Shame on them!
I am surprised to see all these negative comments about Groupon. I have used groupon and grouponNOW in various states and provinces and I have had nothing but positive experiences. Out of the 20+ groupons I have bought I only had a bad experience with one and my purchase was refunded within 24 hours without any problems even though I had used the groupon. For the rest of the groupons (dance classes, restaurants, salons), I always got exactly what was advertised and sometimes even more. Most of the time even though my groupon said tax not included, the businesses never charged me tax. Further, I never got coerced to buy anything more from businesses and I never felt that they gave me less than I paid for in services. Businesses were pleasant and many will have me returning. I highly recommend the use of groupon by consumers.
I have been dealing with this site and their "customer service" department all morning! They couldn't help me, and I was forced to go in circles on the confusing website that jumps around too much. I finally was able to redeem one of the vouchers, a couple hours later I recieve a message from my bank that I was charged by Groupon for something I DID NOT purchase! I now can't reach anyone in customer service, it's the middle of the day!?! Stealing my money is unacceptable! I will NEVER waste my time or money again!
No offense, but the majority of people who are having trouble with Groupon did something faulty of their own. I've used Groupon three times: to get 50% off concert tickets and to get 50% of two different restaurants. I read the fine print on all groupons, did research prior to buying, and thought about it for half a day before committing.
Most of these people complaining are people who are completely ego-centric, needy, spontaneous or downright careless with their money. It annoys me that there are so many STUPID PEOPLE out there. So many MINDLESS CONSUMERS. If you didn't read the fine print, if you didn't do research on the business you're buying the deal for, if you didn't realize you be short on money this month and get buyer's remorse, guess what? Too bad.
Long story short, stop blaming an internet website for your own dysfunctional god-complexes. As a very careful and responsible adult, I've had a great experience with their deals.
I order 2 pair of jeans on september 14 and still haven't got it. I've previously ordered from two other sites and recieved my things on time.So why am i still waiting on my groupon purchases? This will be the last time ordering from this site. And as far as referring people to you all. HELL NOOOO. I'am very unpleased and so impatient
When you have given your email address to Groupon, you never get it back, every time i try to unsubscribe from the Groupon "deals from my city" newsletter, i get that+ a few other newsletters, from other cities, not even close to my home. Also from Groupon premium, and Groupon travel.
I wrote an post about this (in Swedish) http://fredriknas.se/groupon-spam-i-kubik/ and Groupon even tried to explain, how it might be a mistake on my part, signing up with several email addresses, or even selecting several cities when asking for deals. This is total BS, if i used different email addresses i would most likely not get all "deals and offers" to the first address? And why would i ask to get deals from cities 2000 miles away?!
Groupon is just pure spam and crap.
I purchased a desk from Groupon in July 2016 the photo of the desk was white. However, when I purchased it the desk was black. So immediately I phoned them only to be told I could not cancel and I had to have it delivered and then to return it even though I did not want it. It then took 6 weeks for them to collect. After constantly calling them they would give me a date for collection but no one would collect. After 6 weeks I found out they never processed my collection. The desk was in their warehouse since August 17th they asked me to provide proof which I did it is now the 23rd Sept and I am still waiting for my refund. I have sent so many emails and phone calls and each time I get fobbed off with excuses. It has cost me more in phone calls and time. I used to really like their offers but after this experience I will not be buying anything from them again. £90.00 is a lot to lose.
I had a really good experience with them. The product (a pair of däv rain boots) was shipped within the estimated time frame on the listing. It does take a bit from the time you order, but that's why they say on the listing itself the estimated ship date. The boots fit the description from the site and are of good quality. I had no problems dealing with customer service, but then again I had a good experience.
Ive used groupon before good deals but got a good deal at a hair salon no problem. Then months later. Brought another one. When I called for another appt. The owner informed me that gropon should of notified me that its one time only per salon. But they took my money and wouldn't give it back. Not right they told me I could transfer it to another person. That's bull$#*!
Answer: Yes, Groupon is legit. You need to read the fine print before ordering live event tickets- -they will not refund your money even if it's there fault. I only buy tickets for activities that don't expire or you can use the purchase price towards a non-Groupon service the vendor offers. Hope this helps.
Answer: Yes, report it but using social media is a very effective way to get a companies attention. Spread the word, Groupon does not honor returns!
Answer: I usually call the merchants I am interested in before buying the coupons, and ask them if the groupon coupons work, and how much more I have to pay. You could do the same, contact the merchants you are interested in and ask them how groupon works for them?
Answer: Groupon usually sends a tracking # via email If not do as the other people suggested, check My Groupons
Answer: I wish I could say why, but a solution might be to contact Call Curtis, or your local News station that helps with consumer issues. They always seem to get fast resolutions, because companies hate BAD TV PUBLICITY.
Answer: I personally do not trust groupon. The question previous to yours printed on this site should answer your question as to its reliaiblity
Answer: The one I took by Holly and Hugo at least were I would research the company before buying. Also about twice a year they put all their courses for $5! I got mine completed it and it helped boost my resume and I was able to get a vet assistant job pretty quickly compared to before where I only got a call back from about one place which didn't lead anywhere. :) hope I could help!
Answer: Well, it's not Ideeli anymore... it's been Ideel for about a year now I think. Yes, there is a customer support phone number. I've had nothing but good experiences from Ideel in all regards - product satisfaction, price, shipping, etc. - but I've never had to contact customer service so I don't know what you'll get, but they're phone number is (888) 835-1719.
Answer: They are the absolute worst about answering customer service complaints. They will lie, they literally told me customer service reps were out sick, thus no answer to my emails for about 2 weeks. But, don't loose hope, the DAY I posted a review on this site, they answered AND gave me a 25.00 credit for my trouble. So write a review on Site Jabber with all the details and a bet a manager will answer promptly. As this is their way, I NEVER ordered from the site again after at least 3 years of orders. Good Luck and don't leave a sordid detail out of your complaint.
Groupon has a rating of 1.6 stars from 5,286 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with Groupon most frequently mention customer service, credit card and fine print. Groupon ranks 250th among Daily Deals sites.
Hi Sarah, thanks for the comment. We are glad to hear you had an enjoyable experience, and hope the boots are still a highlight on every rainy day.
